fuck the school reunion
that scene should have been them entering a church to get married instead
it would have been the perfect ending
but nahh let's just have them visit a fucking school reunion instead and call it quits
who's the mangaka? i'm too lazy to google because i'm starving
fuck that guy
fuck him and his dreams, just like he fucked mine
It's a girl.
Also chill, the ending was meh, and Ueno deserved worse, but in the end they were holding hand and calling each other cutes, rest assured they're baby-making every night.
Its a classic manga ending, a time skip followed by a glimpse at the road ahead, doesn't necessarily mean it was abrupt, if anything it was fairly well foreshadowed at the point where they started talking about what they're gonna study
aah yes, muh fairy tale ending
I miss those threads.
It is already sold in France, they kept the title "A silent voice"
Reminder that this is the canon ending
Biggest copout ending of all time. Author should've grown a spine.
>Made the best vanilla epilogue sex doujin this series deserves
>Ruins it by making the next one NTR
Just when you think a doujin artist is based they up and ruin it for themselves
But can we agree the moms are the best characters in this?
Thaifag will come back to watch the movie with us, right?
I LOVE how friendly they've become and how their relationshipo developed, I wish in that one scene where deaf chans moma was prostrating bully kuns mama hugged the child and her, would have made for a big HNNNNG, wonderful scene none the less
I agree the confession came early.
The real stuff is when they meet on the bridge at night
I agree the tone was perfect till the 6th chapter. Everything else is not necessary.
Yeah it did go to shit after the (his) suicide attempt
Everything during and after the hospital was just awful. The entire movie subplot was cringy and boring, there was barely any closure to the main pair's relationship, and a lot of the character interactions at the end just made no sense. Ueno locking herself in the hospital room was at no point even slightly believable.
>face that says "What the hell....bitch letgo...imma jump in fronna this train... cmon...i sold my ps3 already...."
>yfw you're about to reach your sweet release but some faggot becomes your gf instead
Wait people actually want to watch this garbage?
hahahahahah the mangaka is a fucking joke. Turned a decent manga to complete garbage.
Every chapter since the MC broke his ass to the end shit on everything the manga used to be.
Far as I'm concerned the manga is GARBAGE just read the one shot and pretend everything else doesn't exist.
>hey, you ruined my childhood, but as you are sorry, I fell in love with you
sometimes the simple mindedness of people who shit on knk is cringe worthy, you ask yourself if they ever even read the manga
>agrees to being friend
>your friend jumps in front of a train as soon as you part ways
>your life is even more fucked up
>doesn't agree to being friend
>guy you reject jumps in front of a train and kills himself
>you're scarred for life and believe you're a bad person now
>grab his hand
>he cums his pants
>you end up trying to kill yourself in a couple months
knk has several beautiful moments and, overall, is worth reading, but the romance fucked with this manga. it's like "hey, you ruined my childhood, but as you are sorry, I fell in love with you.". I mean, nothing against them become friends, but it would be much more credible if it happens gradually. but no, let's create a fucking crush in less than 20 chapters. the one-shot suffers from the same problem, they meet again after years, he asks to be friends, she blushes and accepted. wtf?! what is this? cinderella + frozen?
She fell in love with him for not whooping her ass on the train platform.
>tfw this you and you didn't even bully a deaf girl
>actually justifying NTR
Jesus what a fucking cuck.
Fucking Otaku, always bitching about the end because no kissuh scene. Just go back to your harem bullshit.
This manga wasn't here to narrates à love story between Shoya and Shoko but the journey of Shoya to find the forgiveness and the redemption he needed to move forward in his life.
>muh romance is scary
romance is part of life you goddamn /v/irgins, leaving it out like that would feel more out of place than including it in a story like that.
It didn't need to be deaf kid x former bully, but asexual shit is worse than cancer.
Teenage drama really does, it's unrealistic without it. Remember back to highschool, even the nerdiest cliques couldn't go a day without at least talking about some kind of romance/sexual topic.
>but in the end they were holding hand and calling each other cutes, rest assured they're baby-making every night.
He friendzoned the hell out of her.
At least Sahara won best girl and they're moving on with their life together.
Ishida is taking over his mom's barber shop, Shouko is realizing no one wants a retard doing their hair.
Shimda is tranny .
Loli is getting fapped to vigorously by that one projecting director
Why the shit didn't anyone (the hospital, Shou-chan's mother, Ueno's mother) try to stop Ueno from locking herself in the room? In what world is that healthy? What about the nurses that need to take care of him? Didn't anyone question the mental health of a violent girl locking herself up with a comatose dude?
always a lesbian, rule of thumb.
I can't believe someone from a gang rape manga finally took responsibility.
Who thinks the manga would be infinitely better if it was bullying repentance + romantic subplot between the MC and the superior sister Yuzuru?
She is not shit, shes a very fleshed out character and I like her for that, her actions on the other hand are that of an ass, but we were shown why she was an ass and that what makes the manga so great
Don't make it sound like the author didn't try to make romance play a big part in the story. If it wasn't she shouldn't have included:
>A confession scene
>A scene of Shouko training to clearly say 'suki'
>Yuzuru shipping them so hard
>Also pic related
Chekhov's gun nigga.
I agree whole heartedly, especially about the retarded otakus part.
Their relationship development was a subplot for Shoyas redemption however which way you look at it, and it basically climaxed at the attempted suicide and the bridge after he awakens, marvellously so if I may add
>mad that there's not kiss
Kiss at the end as symbol of romantic resolution is a staple of all storytelling, like everywhere.
You'll rarely see a movie, movie, or tv show, in any country, that doesn't have some form of kiss to conclude a romantic plot, even if it's not the central point of the story.
It's just a trope that the majority of viewers will expect/want. Not caving to it is kinda stupid because there are no drawbacks.
But whatever, i didn't have a problem, hell I didn't even notice it. Just playing devil's advocate.
My head cannon is they get married and run the salon together whilst taking care of their mothers and shoukos sis, maybe they even have a child or two, I hope there's enough room once his big sister moves out
Koe no Katachi is a story of redemption and self understanding. The ending was perfect for what it was, and I hope the film doesn't change this.
While a complete love story would be nice, sure, that was not the intent of either main character. They both just wanted to make up for the past, and after suicide attempts, both of them did just that.
The story is perfectly complete.
>Koe no Katachi is a story of redemption and self understanding. The ending was perfect for what it was
>and I hope the film doesn't change this
is it too much to ask for a little more into the futures of Shoya and Shouko? I know I'm spoiled for asking this much, but please kyoani, deliver
>while a complete love story would be nice
>implies aspects of the story are incomplete
>yet calls it a "perfectly complete" story
The screen didn't go black as soon as Frodo threw the ring into the volcano.
>the first time she fell for him was five years after when he apologized
this is what's wrong with your understanding of the story
god its like you didn't even pay attention to the story
Some girls are masochists, deal with it.
(although I agree she shouldn't have been the love interest, the manga encompassed his entire life so it would be weird to not include romantic elements, especially given the # of girls around him)
>that was not the intent of either main character.
Nishimiya almost declared his love for him. This is clear in the story. If the author didnt want the fans complained, she shouldnt have hinted that fucking romance in the first place.
this is just as bad as the prunus girl one and abgrund had to go in to hiding after that
>not even once
here I'll spoon feed you
She saw him suffering after the hearing aid incident (and even before that she misinterpreted his actions as friendly/playful, see her trying to make friends with him) and thought she found a like hearted soul, maybe it wasn't love, but there was definitely something going on there when she was taking care to wipe his desk of all the vulgarity the children were leaving for him.
some of you anons tend to forget she did not fear him, nor did she hate him why she was tormented by him, she maybe even (most likely so) pitied him
To say she forgave him and gained these feelings for him out of the blue is without basis, maybe she loved him, then she moved on, and she regained the love/affection that turned into love anew, love for one person isn't something you have once and lose forever
just my two cents
when people abuse you, it is normal that you get away from them or hate them. how the hell you going to trust someone who hurts you?
this means that forgiveness is impossible? of course not. but forgive and trust are things that take time. but in knk, nishimiya does this immediately after meet again her bully.
she's a heroine. read shoujo. every shoujo. girls treat their attempted rapists like their buds mere hours after the rape attempts. even if they already have boyfriends.
"Don't hit him, he's not actually a bad person!" is their favorite line.
Nishimiya is like a good samaritan. See the end, for example, she practically forgive Ueno. That's a little too convenient. If the author were more subtle, the story would be better.
Except it was obvious that it would have been too fast, especially in terms of Japanese people and marriage. In order to love he had to redeem himself first. Personally I do hope the movie has an after story and it shows they got together.
one of my friends used to bully me for a reason I barely even remember, I never explicitly forgave him for doing so, however with time feelings and actions are forgotten and the fact that someone bullied you five years in the past shouldn't even bother you at that point
shes 'matured' in such a way where she does not blame anyone, except herself (see attempted suicide) this is not some fairy tale personality, this was a, for the lack of a better term, a mental dissorder
You fuckers saying Nishimiya immediately forgiving him is unrealistic are the worst.
She can't even speak properly, you don't even know if she actually truly forgave him in the beginning.
Likewise, I used to be a huge bully until grade 8. In high school I kinda got over myself and started to be a lot nicer. The kids I used to bully started to get along nicely with me too eventually, but I'm sure they were all still mad on the inside. Of course those old feelings eventually wore off.
Their situation really isn't unrealistic at all.
but nishimiya has a fucked self-esteem because she was bullied as a child. she even tried to kill herself because of it. so, when she forgive one of his bullies easily and also shows feelings for him, it looks like plot convenience.i just think it would be more interesting if it was something gradual.
Or I can (rightfully so) blame your horrendous reading comprehension, lack of attention, and plain ignorance, I hope people reading your posts won't be deterred from the manga because you can't comprehend 'good' writing
Banging a deaf girl isnt a pleasant experience anyway.
I'm assuming you've all seen that webm
Anyone saying this wasn't a love story complete with a cliche (for the Japanese) love story ending is criminally ignorant or so fucking deluded you may as well be a flat earther.
Pic related: it's you.
>godani will tarnish their hands drawing pieces of shit like ueno and kawai
>but nishimiya has a fucked self-esteem because she was bullied as a child. she even tried to kill herself because of it.
>so, when she forgive one of his bullies easily and also shows feelings for him, it looks like plot convenience
Are you retarded? How does it look like plot convenience? Bullied loners are the first to get misunderstandings and fall in love when someone is nice to them, even if it was someone that bullied them, and that's without a handicap that isolates them from most people
other than their autism.
Kawai a shit
Ueno is love and won something better than the gold medal.
>While a complete love story would be nice, sure, that was not the intent of either main character.
>not an intent
>all that scene
It's not canon as Bokumachi. Fucking nips.
Comacuck was probably in a shoujo-esque love triangle while Kayo and Hiromi went through middleschool and highschool together.
After he entered the coma they probably visited him everyday together and eventually started flirting and falling in love over a mutual connection to his lifeless body.
Eventually visiting Satoru was just an excuse and they would use his comatose body as a way to score dates with each other because they were too awkward to ask the other out upfront.
>Hiromi confesses to Kayo
>Kayo says to give her time
>Later that day Hiromi goes to visit Satoru in his coma
>Kayo is already there, seemingly intimate with him
>"I knew it, you're still in love with him Kayo!"
>Hiromi runs out
>Kayo rushes after him
>Hiromi runs down the stars of Satoru's apartment, followed by Kayo
>Both of them tumble down the stars
>Kayo, now on top of Hiromi, tears streaming, hair disheveled
>"I love you Hiromi-kun! You're the one I love!!"
>"Liar! How can I believe that"
>Kayo leans in and kisses him
>"Hiromi-kun, I love you, will you go out with me?"
>Looks down, embarrassed
>"Of course, you big dummy..."
>Both of them gaze into each other's eyes before standing back up
>Walking back from visiting Satoru
>Hiromi lightly grasps Kayo's hand
>Both of them look away blushing, hiding their expressions under their mufflers
>"Well then, please take care of me!" said in unison
>absentmindedly left the door of comatose Satoru's apartment open in the middle of winter
Ueno and Kawai are two of the most unreasonable pieces of shit ever. Ueno might be a little understandable with her jealousy but she took it too damn far that it's annoying.
Kawai on the other hand. What the fuck was her purpose again? Bitch deserves to be sent to Hinamizawa.
>tfw we will see a KyoAni bitch for the first time
Fat guy looked like this nigger.
Also doesn't he have vibes with imouto/bullying vibes with Ueno?
>This fanfiction-tier writing
1/10 I shit myself
>While a complete love story would be nice, sure, that was not the intent of either main character. They both just wanted to make up for the past, and after suicide attempts, both of them did just that.
>The story is perfectly complete.
I agree with the prior stuff you said about understanding and redemption but the rest is bullshit
There was a romantic tension that was building up after the first half of the manga and it just kept going and going
I wish we got a better closure is all
How did this shit even end?
I remember finally giving up and losing interest around when that one blonde friend of his from his childhood showed back up.
The whole plot was just not at all what I was hoping it would be with the great beginning.
