The real Kaneki died when Arima defeated him back in Tokyo Ghoul. Whoever this guy is, he's not the old Kaneki. Yomo told him to walk his own path, not become a fucking lap dog for the CCG and sell out his friends for revenge. I'm kind of relieved his character has become so unlikeable though. The old Kaneki was "dark" but people seem to forget he had humanity. He still smiled, cared about Banjo, Hinami, Touka and Tsukiyama and fought to protect the friends he had left. All he wanted was to save his place to be. This emo goth Kaneki is a boring one dimensional character all about revenge and shows no other side to himself, even in his thoughts.

Why would he ask Touka or Yomo to throw away their lives for an impossible mission neither of them could accomplish? Touka has been living like a normal girl for the past few years, she has no training in operations or breaking people out of prison. Aogiri is literally the only organization with a chance of doing that since they're done it before, and even they're afraid with the new security to do so.

What annoys me most is that Neo Kaneki is literally an edgy Arima copy. I can barely stand Arima and his god-like qualities but we know Captain Autism has always been like that and is also an important character (ghoul killing-machine) so I don't care so much.
