Koyomi Flower today which means abusive long hair Crab.
Still nothing in my app, but I am ready to dump once it gets here.
Commie is, albeit slowly. Just gotta wait.
Some anon put the LN translation (I think?) as the subs last episode, you can find that under the group name ARARAGI on nyaa.
It came out half an hour ago and VPNs are slow
and I just failed to download part 31 of it, fuck.
Who knows, might come. All I am gonna do is up the raw if nobody else does before I finish downloading it.
Is it just me or is there even less animation in Koyomimonogatari than the rest of the franchise? There was barely any movement except for the lips moving and I could swear that some of the scenes were copy pasted from Bake.
Not just you. I know that Monogatari has never been high budget, but Koyomimonogatari is so disgustingly lazily made that I'm not sure if I'm going to bother watching anything besides my three favorite stories.
Also Hamburg here. They certainly went all out on the animation. although not much really happened. Really enjoyed it and hope SHAFT manages to make their deadline for summer 2016.
Nigga, Owarimonogatari has already sold 23,418/35,000 necessary to break even! And thats what the 10th season? Thats during what 3 months? Before they started selling Mathfairy toys?
Shaft is literary drowning in money! They could at least put some effort into Koyomimonogatari, its not like they do it for free since the fans will still buy the dvds of it! I love this franchise but they're not delivering! Shaft is not delivering!
Got one, but the ED is cut off, as the last two TS files failed to download, working on fixing that now. If you want the broken one without the last 10 seconds of the ED:
I think I can understand how Araragi feels. Cat is too adorable.
still waiting for coalgirls owari, god damn I didn't even know this was out already
>35,000 necessary to break even
>Shaft gaining anything from toys
I love this wonderful memory road of Araragi as it slowly starts to go down hill.
I think Crab wants to be Hanekawa.
Yeah, if you are the anon from last time, you pushed me forwards, thanks for that, now I know a little bit more about HLS and ffmpeg.
Yeah, I did that, the first attempt where I forgot to -acodec copy (>>136204545) failed in the middle of downloading one of the TSs anyway so I just redid it all. Thanks.
Tell you guys what to those who know what happens. I highly doubt Araragi will have a smooth life in Uni after giving his last shot to be human at Owari vol 3. I feel like the spiral down will come full force permanently. Just wait and see Nisio going the route.
Though would not mind it happening as would like to see spiral out of humanity.
Side note, been hearing good things about Acerola Bon Appétit part of Waza. God damn I just want to get my hands on the LN.
>I highly doubt Araragi will have a smooth life in Uni after giving his last shot to be human at Owari vol 3
No one ever has a smooth life, anon. That's just how life is.
Remember how Monkey is suppose to have a smooth life free from oddities? But now it seems she would start new adventures of her own. No one can be free of oddities once they get involved. Because oddities are not alien, they are human creations. So humans can't escape from them. And once you've seen them, you can't unsee them.
If my machine translation of this is correct, that means another ancient vampire is heading to Japan to check on Kiss-Shot. We might have more than side stories coming.
Honestly Hitagi is the closest who can live a relative normal life out of the Oddity world after her thing being fixed and wanting to not be involved in that world. She has no interest in hearing any of the crazy details of what goes on.
Monkey chose to pursue the monkey trouble, Hanekawa has no interest in living a normal life. Nadeko is insane still, though she is working on being a mangaka. Just need to never see Araragi again to keep on the path of 'normal'.
I think it would just depend on which characters you like.
It's only the end that's really important, and unless you've managed to go unspoilered even that has probably already lost a lot of its impact.
I would give anything to see Araragi actually fight one while full vamped. Hell throw in Dramaturgie in for the hell of it.
Koyomi Nothing matters to the plot, but that's only in the sense that previous 10 could be removed without it seeming like anything was missing from the series. Other than that it doesn't stand out.
More things I could tease out of machine translation:
Karen decides to go on a mountain training journey. Araragi asks Shinobu to go along in her shadow. Shinobu ends up saving Karen from some mishap at every turn.
While Hanekawa is searching for Oshino she meets up with Dramaturgie who is having trouble with two other vampires. Hanekawa tries to help and ends up getting bitten. However, Hanekawa still had some god-tier vampire blood in her system from when she was healed in Kizu and the vampire who bit her was defeated.
Glorious and how lucky of Hanekawa.
In Kizu, after Hanekawa is nearly ripped in two by Episode, Araragi sprays his blood on her, because a vampire's blood gives people strength and heals their wounds. Given how Araragi was the most powerful vampire in the world at that point, the properties of his blood must've been pretty potent and long-lasting.
Back in Kizu when Araragi splashed her in blood after Episode basically almost killed her. Somehow that was still running around in her blood stream.
Can't really complain as Araragi and Kiss-shot are the strongest beings around that time.
Ah shit guys it is happening again. Nisio is doing the heavy plot throws in short stories again. The ride is starting to kick back in. The next two LN's confirmed for this year shall be interesting.
We going another vamp ride at the future?
>It is heard that the kiss shot was rooted out by rumoring the wind, It goes to the island nation in the Far East, Do you go to ascertain what really happened? There might be a good ..woman.. great deal to talk, too.
Good chance that woman is Gaen.
Already doing it, I'll just need the edit
If somebody could say me what these signs say, I'd do some basic typesetting
>Deathtopia Virtuoso Suicide-Master.
I'd assume he's a boy?
If it wasn't for the sole fact they are from the far past. I would be laughing hard.
>Deathtopia Virtuoso Suicide-Master.
Oh Araragi I wish you luck in this mess.
I think it's the opposite, she's a fully normal human now.
Shouldn't Dramaturgie have a much longer vampire name then too? Maybe Dramaturgie is just one part of his name?
That is true, but now I am apprehensive since it's Nisio. I sense I'll tidings on this wild ride for her, awesome as it might be.
But mostly images of a jeans wearing stripe haired catgirl milf that solves mysteries and breathes fire overshadows my dread.
Unless Nisio makes her the final antagonist, then it's bad again.
This is one interesting point of mystery we have reached.
The series has supernatural shit but it's primarily a story about teenagers growing up and overcoming their alienation. There won't be such shounen-esque developments unless Nisio wants to undo their character growth and take things in an inexplicably different direction.
>jeans wearing stripe haired catgirl milf that solves mysteries and breathes fire
It won't be for everyone of the characters , but Nisio has pretty much groomed Hanekawa to find her own path as an exorcist and fusing with an oddity will have repurcussions I'll bet on that, Araragi isn't planning to ever seperate from Shinobu, and Kanbaru could have turned to a normal life but has decided to seek out the Rainy Devil again, plus all those implications of Gaen nurturing her "sense". Tsukihi is an oddity, more weird shit will come her way whether she likes it or not.
Hitagi will try to be normal, Nadeko too, Karen is normal. The rest are all oddities to begin with.
It more seems that he will start an overarching plotline now.
If I had to make a crack at it of 'what'. I feel it would be more so if he want full vamp and a change of POV was going on from a narration as Araragi being the antagonist to someone.
What the hell, Shaft? You can't just reverse the text like in Japanese, it doesn't work. Plus... they only did it to the first word? Bizarre.
>fusing with an oddity
Hanekawa became a normal human bean when that happened. She was missing things that other humans had, and now they have been reintegrated. In the Neko Shiro LN she talks about how her pre-tiger self was like an oddity she had created in her attempts to be normal.
And at the end she says those things aren't gone, but just one of her selves.
Her whole thematic issue was trying to be normal when people said she isn't meant to be normal. There was a reason for her to get that hair beyond just looking nice, it means she accepted she isn't normal.
There is no English text on those bins.
Reversed Japanese has been a staple for the entire monogatari series. That's not what I'm talking about.
And that's why she's living a nomadic lifestyle and setting up to be a future exorcist. But that doesn't come with Kako-related superpowers. I doubt Nisio would give her such fantastical 'repercussions' for accepting herself.
What this mean?
I was referring to what >>136220373 was saying about the English. I wasn't sure if Koyomi Reverse did weird stuff with the English or not. Thanks, though, I feel like that helped clear things up a bit for me.
How does that work? Surely the entire work isn't mirrored. I thought I heard a while back that for some parts of it, the kanji is mirrored and because of that it has a different meaning that is significant to the plot, but I don't really get it. And if it relies so heavily on this, how the hell will it be animated?
I think the Shinobu / Araragi plotline needs to be resolved, but I hope he doesn't write about Araragi anymore after that. I'm fine with the series continuing as long as it's about less-developed characters like Sodachi.
I only want it to end when math finally finds peace of mind and happiness.
Koyomi Reverse? Only spoken lines from mirror-world characters (and maybe any written text that Araragi reads, I don't recall) was mirrored.
After a couple chapters Araragi figures out he's in mirror world, so he takes a moment to say to the reader "Yeah, this is bullshit and hard to read, I'm sure, so I'm just gonna go ahead and interpret it into normal text for the rest of the novel."
I forget where I heard the idea, but here's something COULD do (but probably won't):
- Record normally.
- Reverse it.
- Ask the actors to mimic the reversed lines.
- Reverse again.
It'd sound rather weird, but still intelligible. That's how Araragi describes the speech of the other characters in the novel, as somewhat weird but he's unable to figure out why.
No, it's actually pretty interesting. But it badly needs resolution, and I think Araragi deserves a normal human life.
Thanks in advance anon.
We could have some faggot from another class trying to confess to all the hot girls of the school and have a long string of Hitagi/Hanekawa/Kanbaru shooting him down because of Araragi.
It would be doubly interesting because Araragi is somewhat of a school celebrity according to Hana
If it goes that way then fine. But then he should properly break up with Senjougahara. He can't have it both ways forever.
Crab still a shit.
It feels like theres nothing else interesting in life but to wait for the next episode. Can't wait for Koyomi Wind and Dead.
okay yeah more or less my first time with aegisub, so it took pretty long. I think I have typesetted all the signs that looked interesting. What do these mean?
Finished. I mostly just added periods, fixed a couple typos, and reworded a couple sentences, but there were two or three very small translation mistakes.
And this one?
There was a lot of abusive banter in the LN that was omitted from this episode. I'm sad about that.
Nisio's said exactly that, that it's been "100% a hobby" just to amuse himself, since the afterword of Bake volume 1. Then again in volume 2, Kizu, Nise. After that they started putting it on stickers on the front covers of every volume, signed with his name.
Bake1+2: This novel was written 100 percent as a hobby.
Kizu: This novel was written 120 percent as a hobby.
Nise1+2: This novel was written 200 percent as a hobby.
NekoB+W: This novel was written Cat percent as a hobby.
Kabuki: This novel was written 100 percent in carnage.
Hana: This novel was written devilcent as a hobby.
Otori: This novel was written 100 percent auspiciously.
Oni: This novel was filled 100 percent with reality.
Koi: This novel was written 100 percent as a vice.
Tsuki: This novel heads 100 percent towards demise.
Koyomi: This novel was written 100 percent on the spot.
Owari1: I wrote this, once again, 100 percent as a hobby.
Owari2: I can never again write something as this much of a hobby.
Owari3: The kind of story I want to write as a hobby over and over again.
Zokuowari: This novel was written ƚnɘɔɿɘq 00l as a hobby.
Oroka: This novel was continued 100 percent as a hobby.
100 percent = hyakupaasento
devilcent = akumaasento
as a hobby = shumi de
in carnage = shura de (the same shura in shuraragi)
auspiciously = shubi yoku
as a vice = akushumi de (or, "in bad taste")
towards demise = shuuen ni
Well I hope my typesetting didn't turn out too shitty. Would appreciate some feedback. Pretty much my first time.
Isn't that supposed to be We'll forget about it?
So first ep had Neko Kuro's OP and second had Crab OP, because the stories are close to those arcs. Does anyone have the timeline with all Koyomi stories in hand? What other OPs will we get?
I'm a shitty secondary, so maybe my opinion doesn't matter. I just like these small "cases", they give me a similar sense of mystery that Bake did.
But I also really like the rest of the series the way it is.
Yeah sry, I missed that.
Also added this sign and tried to fix the opening credits: https://jii.moe/EyzsQyEux.webm
she coming back?
Well yeah, I mean, when is
Mayoi Hell going to air? Is there any dates?
Proximity of events would make more sense if the chart is accurate
Man, I was hoping I missed something, but I guess we're gonna have to wait for Kizu to finish and probably the
new Madoka movie. Poor Snail.
I didn't forget I chose to ignore it.
Since I never answered the question, I guess they're pretty good.
How did best girl meet her?
was there any reason that the resolution was 540p? That's just bizarre to me that they would just release it like that. If I wait long enough will there be a 1080p version? I'll even settle for 720 if i have to..
So Kizumonogatari came our in japan, english sub come out in Feb.
Where can I watch it without subs?
I can't wait and google is being a child
That explains why they're about 15 minutes long each. Thanks
Vote for Spooky Ougi, Ararararagi-kun, and your other favorite players to represent /a/ in the Winter Cup:
Come on having them always to be laughed at is a better scenario. Just the worrisome part of it being reversed.
>that means another ancient vampire is heading to Japan to check on Kiss-Shot
What can possibly go wrong
since we're talking about Meme I actually believe this
I'm happy watching this knowing Numachi the Swamp God is still roaming across the country somewhere.
Pretty shame she's only featured in 1 arc. She'd be great character if she appears in some other arcs.
True, but my issue came more so date in the timeline. It foreshadowed things that might happen. Issue was that it was so far ahead that it kind of killed certain anticipation. So my hope is that if there is new drama going on from Waza with this vamp going to find what happened etc. That it will be after Hana to give a sense of mystery of the sort and unknown.
Retrieving Yume Watari?
Only thing of importance I can think of that should be left in Antarctica.
Also it's strongly hinted that Gaen is hoping to fabricate a copy of it and/or Kokorowatari using Seishiro's armor. Would make sense if Meme and Gaen were both trying to achieve similar things using different means, (or rather trying to use similar tools to achieve very different ends?) If that were the case it would also tie in nicely with the theme of fakes and originals and their inherent value, though the real originals of both swords were swallowed up by the darkness.
Damn. I'm not the original anon who was asking about Meme, I just couldn't resist throwing a guess at it. I honestly can't think of what the fuck he could be doing down there then.
I mean it must have some connection to Kiss-Shot/Seishiro/the Darkness I suppose, as that little saga is the only other mention of Antarctica in the story so far, unless I'm missing something.
I'm sure that's good advice, but Monogatari Series is not something that I'm too worried about a spoiler here and there. I've already had plenty of plot points from beyond where I've read, (my nip is not really good enough to read Nisio's prose without some difficulty,) and it doesn't bother me too much.
I don't go out of my way to spoil myself, but I sort of assume that I'm going to learn things I'm not supposed to know yet hanging around /a/ threads where the occasional anon has read things.
Often LN spoilers are bullshit anyway, so you're never really really spoiled until you read it yourself.
Ougi sent Meme to Antarctica, where there are no Oddities. She used the lost thing on him. Been there until Hanekawa took a 50/50 chance. The other one would have lead her to Kagenui who was sent to the North Pole.
Because Koyomimono are short stories Nisio gives you to just then kick you in the gut at the end. Their really short.
These OVAs doesn't prioritize banters It's just hobby for Nisio.
>Deathtopia Virtuoso Suicide-Master.
Not as poetic as bat's name.
>Seeing that whole Kizu moments start of Bake
>Remembering being angry never got it
Oh how if I only knew how long it would take to get it finally.
You can probably bet Araragi will given a whacked name like that by someone.
The panty scene and Hanekawa banter was so good!
Everything looked so fucking amazing.
Literally photos and CGI backgrounds: The Movie.
Looks like something you'd see from a graduate cinematographer that just learned the concepts of repetition and contrast in composition.
O-Only if you cosplay as any monogatari girl, anon.
I think Shaft also used CG rotoscopie for some of the animations.
There were several scenes where the camera moved through a 3D scene and normally the 2D animations would look a little out of sync because you never get it perfectly right and you have some jarring elements.
But not in Kizu.
I'm sorry. Its a cold night and i'm alone and sad. This episode got me all nostalgic. I really hope we get owari vol 3 this year.
A-Are you a girl, anon?
The entire opening scene was a sakuga and effect festival.
The level of animation quality and the amount of top tier key animators for basically just the introduction was stunning.
>have Yozuru, Gaen and his mother in his harem too
Have doujin gone this far?
Think about it from a regret and life events kind of thing rather than harem shit. Like for example, why is it that Nadeko comes first the longest and Ougi is the closest to Araragi.
Here an example what I mean. Around 0:05
You can see that that the CG elements and the 2D animations aren't perfectly fine, while Hibike is one of the pretty good examples where the jarring elements are reduced to a minimum.
The subway scene with Kiss-Shot was also amazing. The bookstore/shinkasen cut with the live-action footage, and Kiss-Shot and Meme's spideman cuts. Kizu was full of stunning stuff.
Well, that works for me.
Hope never dies for me. Although i'm glad how well is doing Kizu.
>Koyomimono is set after Bakemono, so I'm assuming it would be fine, right?
You're thinking about Koyomi Flower. You're safe watching from Stone until Wind, unless you're okay with watching without full context.
>and she doesn't seem to mind he being a vampire not Shinobu at all
Hitagi made it clear that she loves him because of his white knight tendencies. And since keeping Shinobu around is part of the effects of his white knight tendencies, she accepts that this is what her man does. If she could convince him to stop being a white knight, he wouldn't be the man she loves anymore.
>I feel like Oshino enjoys Araragi being pointless. Also did Araragi ever pay Oshino back for the events of Kizu?
>Yes. Putting the talisman on the mountain shrine in Nadeko Snake clears his debt.
On the part about Hitagi's payment to Meme, I just want to make sure I understand it right...
So eventially Hitagi got the money together to pay Meme, and then she gave it to Araragi to pass it to him. But then Meme had left by then? And as such Hitagi never spent that money, and was able to use it to try to recruit Kaiki for the Medusa arc?
Um, anon, should I do big boobs in my Hanekawa cosplay?
Of course you do, cute anon.
It's okay anon-chan, don't mind him and come to bed with papa.
>I feel like crying right now.
Not your fag enabler or the anon bullying you, but instead of crying you should fucking install a better media player.
And while you are at it fuck off with that ERPfaggotry. It's kimochi-warui.
> you should fucking install a better media player
> Don't like what I dislike
I am sorry, dear anon, but I like VLC and I don't feel like switching to anything else.
I might give it a try if you find me a better FLOSS media player for my Manjaro.
> And while you are at it fuck off with that ERPfaggotry. It's kimochi-warui.
Nobody says you have to like it. Should we use spoilers to hide our KIMOCHI-WARUI ERPfaggotry?
Only if you feed them to me, anon. And sure, hope your taste is good.
I didn't like them when I tried them before. I dunno, maybe I'll try them some other time.
>Only if you feed them to me, anon.
T-that's e-e-em-embarrasing, anon.
> And sure, hope your taste is good.
Do you want lighter or heavier?
Should we go to /soc/ as this >>136244732 or this >>136244766 whiny-ass anons suggest?
I forgot that bake was re-airing.
