ITT anime that you love but nobody else cares about
My. Man. Probably my favorite of that year, as crazy as that sounds. I was reading the manga at work just today.
But /a/ has shit taste so it doesn't come as a surprise.
Only a few of us and that lewdfag left, he's probably the reason that anon doesn't make threads anymore.
Yona threads are pretty common for now, popping here and there.
I still want to bully white.
Hilarious and great for
The 5th one with the new crew.
Apparently the anon who actually played the latter half of the VNs preach that the new crew is pretty good, so I trust him. But even he denounces the anime of them.
My first waifu as a 12 year old was momiji, then I found out he wasn't a she then I still jacked off to him
Hakaba Kitaro is really weird, whimsical and casual about death like nothing else. Thoughtful about life as well. It's hard to see how people aren't charmed by it.
I love it. One of my absoute favourite anime. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blind to the show's issues, but as one of the first anime I remember ever being able to download digitally AS it was airing(well, within a week or so of each new ep going up), it's always going to have a nostalgia worn cubbyhole in my heart next to Vandread.
Marathoned this not too long ago, didn't discuss it because it seemed no one on /a/ cared about it.
I liked it a lot. I thought the relationship between the MC and book-girl was actually very believable and well done.
I can't remember the name, but its about a guy who has to marry some weird blue-haired cat girl, and they "Adopt" a bunch of children
A lion, a gay guy, a crazy robot, a cute loli...I cannot remember the name of it, but I love it.
When I only got internet connection it was considered entry level. I liked to watch it on tv before sleeping, it cased me the melancholia feeling. It's sad no one is discussing it anymore.
If you put your yuri glasses on.
Otherwise not, they have comrade dynamics but that's it.
Back in 2007-8 Simoun used to have one of the most dedicated fanbases on /a/. It's probably been 2 or 3 years since I've seen a Simoun thread.
My all-time favorite anime. I used to make a GA thread on my birthday every year, but I stopped when I got no replies.
Mai-Hime is still fairly popular.
It has strong yuri undertones at least.
I see it mentioned once every 2 months, always to say that it should be more popular
>It takes a long time to get rolling
It's interesting, that's what a lot of people say about it. But for me, Simoun was one of those shows I loved from the first episode.
Manga but yeah
DNAngel. I know its shitty, but I love it. Too bad it got canned.
Seriously though /a/, pick it up even if you never read josei.
Prince of Stride: Alternative but it is a bit early on to tell but I haven't seen anyone talk about it really so I hope more watch it!
(I also found my husbando, pic related)
The plot follows 40 people who leave cyrostasis an unknown long time after an apocalypse destroyed humanity. It's carried by the strength of the characters.
I'm happy that every time 7 Seeds is mentioned on /a/ all it gets is praise.
If the LN was translated I might end up hating it because from a little research, it looks they made very important changes to it.
It's pretty much my favourite manga, something about the characters and writing is just so good. The flashback arc about the shelter made me feel sick, it was so psychologically terrifying. Something about it is just so well done.
Feels like we're coming to the end though, since all the survivors are very near to one another now, they're all on Sado or just across from it on Honshu.
Gets all the hate.
I've only seen one other person posting about FA. Which is a shame, because it's a really enjoyable show.
It goes like this.
First there was a shitty visual novel about twins.
Then where was a shitty adaptations of a shitty visual novel about twins.
Then based ufotable said "This is shit. We can make a far more entertaining story using some of the characters."
It's basically a big fuck you to the garbage bland VN adaptations that we got in the mid 2000s.
There's a thread every once in awhile, but discussion is pretty much dead at this point.
Same with the manga scanlation.
The threads were so comfy, too bad S2 was shit.
Posting best boy
Well, no one cares about this one now, but I still like it quite a lot while tons of people were either disappointed because of how overhyped it was before airing or flat-out hated it.
Inori a shit though
>killed best boy and brought him back as an asshole zombie who is evil because he is
>killed best girl and prompted the MC to become a fucking hitler wannabe
they dropped the ball
There are maybe 3 other people who watched pic related
Every Seiji Kishi show has at least one episode that obliterates your sides, no matter how bad the series as a whole is
Pic related to both that and the thread. RK was absolutely bonkers and I loved every minute of it.
>tfw you will never spend an entire summer with an alien and go fishing every day
Super childish humor but I find it very charming.
>Implying I didn't love the movie
A shame theres no season two. And based OP by fhana too
This and Rideback. The early 2000's had some really sweet mecha that weren't Gundams.
I love you Production IG.
It's like any old series at this point.
I love birdy, but there's nothing new to discuss now.
It's one of my favourites but most people consider it mediocre. The hack author got mad was mad about it too, I wish he'd stop leaving all his stuff on hiatus and carry on the manga.
By all means, Shuu is actually a well-developed character. He goes from a faggy coward to a hesitating hero to a kind leader to a misguided nazi to a noble hero, and most of the stuff he does is actually pretty understandable considering the amount of shit he went through. Not to mention his own allies were dicks to him, they complained about his nazi-like rulership and turned against him later on, but it's not like they had a better plan to deal with the situation, at least Shoe did save everyone he could.
Really, the problem with Guilty Crown isn't Shuu becoming hitler or anything like that, it's just that the other characters never get developed as Shuu did, or at least not consistently. And the story as a whole goes full retard the moment Gai gets resurrected as the main antagonist out of nowhere and pointless biblical references all over the place, that killed the anime to me.
DIG DOWN INSIDE
PAST ALL DECEPTION
YOU MOVE ON WITH YOUR FIST
AND YOUR LEGS
I want a loli sex bot.
Poor salmon. Everything he worked for was destroyed by a smug teen with bluffing.
He's the one who dared to defy best girl.
Everything up to and including the pool episode was pretty good, but it fell off pretty hard after that. It was still pretty enjoyable for the most part.
Season 3 when?
The best fanservice is when you don't see any skin.
So shit but dem girls. Lewdmila is mai waifu.
>literally on my top 10 best anime of all time
Patrician taste anon.
I have a similiar relationship with Madlax. I still think it has the best soundtrack of any anime I've ever seen.
So many references that went over my head.
Casshern Sins. It's hardly ever discussed on 4chan, let alone /a/. The only real exception to this was the Toonami threads on /co/ when it was still airing 4 years ago.
It's a really nice, atmospheric show but nobody else seems to care for it much.
The one about the KKK.
Pic is mai waifu
i really dont understand why. its melodrama: the manga
it has every shoujo cliche shoved in there but instead it takes place on dinosaur island. and some of the characters are just so despicable it makes going through chapters a chore. you cant just skip the chapters about characters you dont give a shit about either, nice try dumbfuck, you need to read the 15 chapters with braindead group A because generic rapist bad guy mcgee or wise little girl decide to do important plot shit
theres like a handful of characters i like but they always get fucked over or appear very little in comparison to the others
add like 500 chapters with each having 50 pages and you have a huge clusterfuck of
>okay guys lets go this way
>uh oh bad stuff
>dont go this way
10/10 still mad about you know who
It was pretty good, but gets lost to the other 2 superior mystery anime that year.
Most people like it, this is a reminder it exists.
Name the anime without using Google.
I will never, ever forgive Madlax.
I have a similar relationship with all of Mashimo Koichi's work. including
Everything he makes is average as fuck but he does it with style somehow.
Fuck you guys! I like the anime too!!!
my fucking niggas
Assuming "most everyone hated it" counts as "not caring about it." Even then, people have long since stopped caring one way or the other.
>tfw when Studio Pierrot is perfectly capable of making great adaptations
>tfw they still fucked over Tokyo Ghoul
Off the top of my head, Baby Steps S1 and S2. Both were spot on adaptations that didn't fuck over the source material. Sure they didn't have a big budget but there's really nothing you can do about that but it isn't unwatchable or anything, and S2 does looks better than 1.
AnY, again great adaptation but this one actually had a budget and looked beautiful overall.
I'd say they're currently making Osomatsu but that's not an adaptation.
They can easily do good anime so I just don't get what their problem is sometimes.
These get love but not many threads nowdays
Still gets threads all the time, although mostly about Shinka
Was super popular in the day but nobody talks about it any more
Was also pretty popular at the time
Got threads all the time until very recently
Still gets threads occasionally
