>Samurai 7 happened 12 years ago
just kill me already
Also ain't Blood+ a 2004 show ?
>Midori no Hibi
Time sure flies.
>Elfen Lied revolves around the interactions, views, emotions, and differences between human beings and the Diclonii, a mutant species similar to humans in build but distinguishable by two horns on their heads and "vectors", transparent telekinetically controlled arms that have the power to manipulate and cut objects within their reach. The series is centered on the teenage Diclonius girl "Lucy" who was rejected by human beings and subsequently wants revenge.
Finally, a mature anime for mature anime fans like me.
> you will never be in 2004 again and watch these shows for the first time
/a/ in 2004 was 90% Rozen Maiden / FMA / Maria-sama threads
Still, 2003-2007 had the best variety of things coming out for every kind of audience before haruhi and lucky star suplexed the industry.
Windy Tales is AOTY.
Rozen Maiden worst fanbase.
Gokusen - pretty good
Cosprayers - I remember it was stupid but fun
Paranoia Agent - fuckin' Satoshi Kon, man
Mahou Shoujotai Arusu - I felt like I was the only one watching it back then
Samurai Champloo - AOTY
Doki Doki School Hours - SoL with fake loli (midget) teacher
School Rumble - pretty fun but I seem to recall that it never had a proper ending
Zipang - I kind of like time travel stories, but this one ended while the manga went on (much more common these days)
Genshiken - AOTS
/a/ in 2004 was just really slow and had a lot of borderline loli threads. One of the things people kept saying was "stop reposting things from not even hours ago!"
I don't remember a lot of discussion about airing shows until 2005. Some people were really mad about the flute rape in Kannazuki no Miko, but I remember some fansubs took forever to come out, and most people were still watching a lot of anime on DVD.
I remember how subbers constantly kept changing codecs to enhance their dick size. Fucking codec of the week club wankers. You had to keep updating your own codecs, which wasn't so easy on Mac, especially when the original DivX was a hack of an x86 MS codec.
I can't remember if it was in 2004, but subbers kept fucking with how VLC subtitles support always lagged behind the latest.
>it's been 12 years since those threads.
Desert Punk was the first anime I rented from Blockbuster.
Boy, I do enjoy Naruto. Hopefully Kishimoto doesn't shit the bed plotwise.
Also, I hope some loser doesn't start pretending Naruto isn't allowed to be discussed on this board. It_IS_a manga and an anime, after all.
I was here. 2x2=Shinobuden saved my sanity. Mai Hime blew our mind when the girls were turned against each other. Girls Bravo trap scene. Neko Mimi Mode. https://youtu.be/PNWr_Jlx6p0
Also desu. Always needs more desu.
>Melody of Oblivion
Echo No Meros!
Fight scenes were great, fan-service was great as well.
Animated lesbian girl school! What a new concept!
With an OP this great, it must be good, right?
>Midori no Hibi
Insert fap joke
There will never be a greater anime with some weak boy meeting a sexy pink haired alien girl.
Holy shit so many good shows aired this year, is this real?
Who cares about that bandshit? It's gonna suck anyway.
My fucking calendar's full for the year now.
