So Erina has finally learned the truth.
What will her reaction be, /a/?
No but seriously. If he just outright says it, it should be pretty obvious, even for her, that he is Jou's son. What's there to deny? There's being tsundere and then there's being fucking retarted.
This post is positively fishing for replies, I'll bite
There's this state of mind called "being in denial" where one knows something is true but doesn't want to believe it and tries to find a way around the truth
if someone were to learn that I was my father's son and for whatever reason act like "you're fucking lying"
Man I'd be like "dafaq is wrong with you dude?"
That's pretty rude.
>have someone you looked up to all your life, your teacher and mentor and inspiration for cooking
>his son is That Kid who grinds your gears
>That would be pretty uncalled for for her to address Souma and tell him he's lying
For all we know she could be shocked into silence and observe until Souma validates himself beyond any doubt
Probably the moment when his cooking makes her say "tastes good"
>called the worst arc
>basically is the worst arc
>drops the father bombshell
The absolute madman does it yet again.
It only took a short arc about the most lame E10 member getting rekt to reach the reveal. I'm fucking euphoric.
It's a mixed bag. She liked the furikake gohan, though he caught her by surprise with it. She thought the beef stew and the mapo tofu were lacking. She genuinely liked the takoyaki in the drama cd, though she was very hungry at the time.
Didn't he just let her taste his prototypes and experiments since then? We know he's still at the beginning of the road, but he has some good dishes up his sleeves, especially the ones from his diner.
this is how she acts with regular "gourmet" food though so at least his stuff is palatable.
I want to see someone with her character-type BTFO and arrested for assault one of these days.
>that "editor can change everything" belief is stupid
I can't argue with that but a new editor could possibly help introduce new ideas that may actually not go to absolute shit.
so... is Erina being married out or is Souma being married in, I honestly don't see her being a chef or rather a manager at a small time diner.
They are, but it's also has been decades since they last saw each other so it's probably a fifty fifty situation.
Either that, or they got held up at the airport because they were carrying exotic ingredients.
You remind me of that Onoderafag a few days back who claimed Onodera was end game because Chitoge won before she made her move.
In despair, most likely. See you in 5 years because this ride gonna last at least that long, if not longer.
>souma gets expelled by azami
>goes home and reopens shop
>spends his time not knowing what to cook for until childhood friend comes in
>falls in love and begins a new arc where he takes down totsuki
>focusing the chapter on an irrelevant character who has never been revisited in a long time
>get rid of most of the cast for the entire arc
Do you think this is a good idea for sales?
Hisako wins if Erina wins. Collateral winning.
To be fair to that anon, that is kind of how the series has been working. See stagiaire or the moon festival for examples. The story will very rarely turn attention away from Souma to someone else.
ones black, ones white, both have autism. perfect couple will make perfect gray babies
their children would be beautiful
>Erina will be endgame. Early winners like Muhgoomy always lose
Do you want to get slapped on the dick?
Ok so I just reread chapters 140-149.
In one sitting it's actually REALLY entertaining. I hated it while it was happening but man it was much better just marathoned.
I had similar feelings about the autumn election too.
I've been following weekly since literally the first Casanova release and the only arc I disliked was Souma's return to the shopping district, and the last stretch of the Autumn Election.
I never got what people hated so much about the latest arc, Azami's a great villain.
Yeah, that's the thing about stretched out plots.
Taken in small doses is infuriating, but in a single sitting it's really enjoyable.
That's why I somewhat like Nisekoi, I only started reading it a month ago.
>So with Casanova dead
They aren't dead. They actually released chapter 142 last December 25. From what I've read there was a recent raid on manga raws providers around 2 months ago and they got seriously delayed because of it. Mangastream gets the shit quality raws which are much easier to acquire while Casanova has to wait for good raws to become available.
>Azami's a great villain
Eh, he's just an allegory for communism.
To me the problem is that it's just a heel turn from the manga up until that point. For the first X chapters it was about Souma, a typical shounen protagonist whose goals are vague but generally can be summarized as "be the best chef" in an attempt to beat his Dad. The story is, in many ways, a coming of age story. Souma has rivals, and people who stand in his way, but those are really stepping stones. He just wants that one W against his dad. I mean fuck, his Dad was the second Elite 10 seat. There's only one way to beat that. Everything about the manga was about this.
Azami being the villain kinda changes all that. I don't think its a matter of his quality as a villain, but rather how sharply the manga diverged from a story we could relate to.
I'm convinced that everyone who hates Nisekoi is a newfag who doesn't have any frame of reference. It's as stupid as haremshit was back with Love Hina, and though I haven't seen it I bet Tenchi Muyo wasn't any better. Hell, anyone who's only been watching anime from Nisekoi onward should still be thankful it's not a battle harem or one of those unbelievable otaku protagonist series.
Nah, if one of girls finally confesses just to have the mc sleep from exhaustion, it's shit. Or if he's denser than literally every other harem protagonist. He needs his feelings spelled out three times before he even thinks about it properly and can't imagine others having sorts of feeling for himself at all. Its just frustrating to read.
Can people have in-series sex in SJ? Shaman King is the only series with it that comes to mind.
Maybe Erina will ask to eat his cooking and then suddenly take a 9 month leave from school.
Has that one been fully translated yet? Think I've read a short summary on that a while back.
Some girls talk trash about Megu, Taku defends her as you would expect from anyone from the main cast, and the girls are blown out by Megu's cooking. Pretty typical Megumi story from a glance.
>Some girls talk trash about Megu
>the girls are blown out by Megu's cooking
How many more times can it happen before Tsukuda finally realizes everyone acknowledges Megumi's abilities?
yeah, the three tracks were all translated. And Takumi's defense is spectacular though. He handles his jealous bitches like a pro. He defused the situation and left everyone happy at the same time.
To be fair, the track is set before the election. But yes, it hits the usual Megumi story beats.
And just like that Souma creamed 2 Nakiri's with one sentence.
He won the seat by autumn. I wonder how he got the 3rd seat to wager it.
And now she falls for him because of that.
Top tier writing.
Shame SnS went to shit after that time-skip. It would've been 10/10 if it didn't try to shoehorn this romance garbage nobody gives a shit about
considering the way the school was before, the elite ten probably have a free-for-all battle royale to decide top positions in the ten before allocating the last rest to outsiders.
>being this salty
And aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?
Shitty b8/10, but i'll bite.
There is nothing in this chapter to indicate that Erina will worship his D just because he's Jouichirou's son.
See an ahegao in that last panel? I sure don't.
I got some nice new reaction faces this chapter.
kek, so easy.
No wonder he just left after that. She's his obedient dog.
Guys, what if:
Azami realizes the potential and actually arranges a marriage for Souma and Erina to create the perfect chef?
The only people who aren't are pretty much Doujima and obviously Souma.
We still don't have a solid idea of why Jouichirou left, but it likely doesn't have anything to do with Azami, and judging by his personality, he probably just left because he felt like it.
Reminder that Fumio commented that Jouichirou had learned to cook with kindness after leaving. And that he was known as Asura.
The cook Azami admired and the current Jouichirou are undoubtedly quite different.
But then, Souma would probably force his kid to work in the Yukihira shop like he did for Jou. Then Azami would be pissed as to why his grandson is working at a lowly specialty restaurant.
Unless of course, Azami dies by that time.
At least that wasn't the reason why he became Edgemaster 3000.
I'll add that the Jouichirou Erina met was the kinder one, so unlike her dad, she probably wouldn't be surprised by how current Jouichirou acts.
Except the experimental dishes. I doubt she saw any of those, and on the other hand, Azami lived in polar star, so there's no way he never experienced that.
>Souma would probably force his kid to work in the Yukihira shop like he did for Jou
Maybe him and Erina will work out a compromise
>Azami would be pissed as to why his grandson is working at a lowly specialty restaurant
He'll understand when Jouichirou comes back and sits him down for a good talk
It's hilarious how Megloomyfags proceed to get BTFO in this arc. I hope that you faggots all drop the manga because "muh shitty writing".
We don't need your cancerous asses in these threads.
I'm guessing at some point we'll get a flashback, even if only briefly, to Souma losing his mom (and presumably getting his scar). But I don't think that'll happen until something happens to Souma that dredges it up and makes his want to open up about it.
You know I'm glad that Tsukuda didn't go the cliche route and have Azami hate Jou and be the cause as to why the latter didn't graduate but this is a problem too.
Azami respecting his old senpai is fine but here he sounds like an absolute homo reminiscing about his first love.
This is fujo pandering at its finest.
Seeing as Erina's mom has been absent as well, it's pretty safe to assume that both of them got struck by tragedy of some sort.
Even Hisako's dad was shown, but no mention of her mother.
Oh god I just thought about a potential Grandma Nakiri/Mrs. Senzaemon.
It's been fujo pandering since the autumn elections anon.
>Souma v Kurokiba v Curry
>stagiare with Shinomiya senpai
>Souma fights Kuga
>Souma fights Eizan
>Azami is gay for Jouichirou
We only got some brief shots of Erina, Hisako and Rindou in between those events, fuck I mad
>Yukihira-kun we're short one player for [insert card game]
>Azami gay for Jou, and thinks he has perfect genes
>Just learned that his hero/gid begot the peasant Souma
How betrayed and disgusted will he be?
Surely Azami had to know about Jou's habit of making weird foods.
>Jou comes running out of the kitchen, excited at showing everybody his new creation.
>The fumes escaping the pot is actually visible.
>The smell is making the paint melt off the kitchen walls.
>Everybody in the dorm starts freaking out.
>Everybody except Azami.
>Azami still thinks it's "Gourmet" food
>Everyone else doesn't understand because they are fucking casuals
>The true purpose of Central is to get kids to eat Jou's terrible creations and like it.
>train with Shinomiya for a week or two
>literally start looking like him
>yfw Souma will call his dad on the stop to confirm it
Does it really matter? Everyone else in the Dorm met him, Old Lady can confirm that it's true, so can Gin. Shit if she has the photo people will be like "Oh yeah he was here visiting his son."
Now if this happened away from the dorm there would be reason to maintain doubt.
>Erina, want to try the Jou-Edition boiled squid?
They will both tell everyone to fuck off and travel the the world learning how to make Mille Feuille and Harisa.
Soma's gotta beat his old man and Erina has to be freed from hers.
Remember how Azami trained Erina's God tongue?
That's right, by feeding her disgusting food.
Now we know where his methods came from. He misinterpreted Jouchirou feeding him failed dishes as genuine training from his senpai.
This shit is all Jouichirou's fault to begin with.
Come to think of it when was the last time Souma made a dish that was completely horrible?
It used to be like a key point of his character but he hasn't done it in so long.
Obviously he wouldn't bring untested shit to a Shokugeki but at least show that he's still trying out failed dishes on Megumi.
>"I understand now, senpai! This is a actually a secret form of training, isn't it? By making me tasting the depths of culinary trash followed by the summit of excellence, you're carving into my tongue the true taste of gourmet! That's the true purpose behind these taste tests isn't it?"
>"Uhh... Yeah, sure, let's go with that! You're a sharp one aren't you Nakamura! From here on out, I'll be training you everyday!"
>"Yes, I'll be in your care, senpai!"
>Azami is also full gay for Saiba
Now i really want to see an arc/spin-off of how souma mom destroy all totsuki that lusted after Saiba's dick by winning the saibabowl up the point he chose to leave the academy to chase after her without giving a single shit for all them.
And by the looks, for all those who met Saiba she's like a female counterpart of a fat old bald faceless man in those h-doujins, hell even in the picture she's shown as a generic faceless woman.
Glad to hear it, now we won't have to put up with your shit taste anymore.
Have fun falling in love with yet another generic, boring, unimaginative moeblob that has no chance at getting with the MC.
Google shows several recipes both sweet and savory that combine strawberry and miso and have positive feedback.
And frog legs are redneck chicken so it's a relatively neutral meat without a strong flavor profile.
I say you could make it work.
That's the thing about food, anon. Anything could work with anything if you experiment well enough.
Also, Miso is more of a salty taste. Frog meat tastes a lot like chicken meat, so the ideal thing to do would be the balance out the salt/sweetness of the dish by experimenting with the two other ingredients. I think you could combine the miso and the strawberry jam (which is apparently something some chefs actually do) and you could marinate it. Then using a brush, you could glaze it with a light covering of the jam, preferable diluted with water, and grill it. Another thing you could do is to dredge the frog meat but with the meat marinated with strawberry jam beforehand, and serve the Strawberry Frog Karaage with a miso-base sauce.
Desu I don't care about pairings in this manga. With this kind of manga, I only care the size of the shitstorms it generates.
I'd have preferred it if the first spoiler had been true since this shitstorm is nowhere near big enough to bother.
This is probably what Azami would consider "Cuisine", made by Jouichirou.
This is actually relatively tame, anon.
Well, I just thought of the idea of karaage because I was re-reading the karaage. But yes, experimenting with tacos is very easy, considering that it's just a bunch of the ingredients put inside a taco shell.
No matter how disgusting this looks, this could actually work. He didn't use the chicken stock or any of the included packets from the content, and it's just noodles with sweet stuff in it. Dumping it all in was the shock value of the dish, so if the anon who did that actually took the time for preparations it would be an unorthodox desert dish. One thing I might add that would probably be good for this dish is to cook the noodles then cool then in an ice bath to make it like sweet cold soba.
Yeah, but at least with Gin, he was able to build a friendship with him before leaving. And Gin being a first seat, and Jou a second seat, would mean that he probably wasn't homo for him at that time yet.
Azami on the other hand... A random 1st year being maximum homo for you. That doesn't sound appealing, now does it?
That only makes it better.
Just imagine if Souma do the same and in the last year suddenly appear with a random faceless girl, tell everyone that she's his girlfriend and only love and leave totsuki to travel around the world with her, the massive butthurt would be glorious.
We don't really have any idea why Jouichiro left and it's mysterious that he both didn't graduate and is also held in high regard. For some reason, between him being a student and now, he shifted from where he was to making food with kindness. However while he changed how he made his food, he didn't really change his personality.
All these events really do is make whatever happened to Jouichiro more significant.
There are people here who have Mayumi as their second choice. That being said, all it takes is one arc with her as the only focus, without Nikumi dragging things down to have bandwagoners using her to shitpost.
I actually feel like we're going to get some matter of fact thing like 3 arcs from now
>Why does everyone think my mom is dead, she just divorced my dad when I was 6
>I see her occasionally on weekends
It's Tosh I can see this happening similar to this current reveal.
Come on man, it's obvious that dumbass and retarded bitchnigger is trying to deal with reality raping his deluded anus by trying to trick others into shitposting. Laugh and ignore man. Laugh and ignore.
I want Hisako to win, not because I like her as a character, but because of her interactions with Souma. She went from totally hostile "Stay away from Erina-sama!" to "Oh hey, what's up Souma.". She didn't like him immediately and just thinks he's cool, unlike Meat and Tadokoro who liked him once he showed a little bit of kindness toward them.
YOU ARE GONNA FINISH JOU'S DISH, AND YOU ARE GONNA LIKE IT!
>Azami laughs thinking how a superior cook like Jou could possibly give birth to a peasant like Souma
>Erina thinks of the same thing but watching the doorway
>Souma pulls out a pic of him as a kid with his mom and Jou
>Mommy Yukihira reveal
does azami even know that jou is running a diner? It'll be hilarious if he's starting to rambling about how he thinks his beloved senpai is gonna open a five star restaurant or some shit, all falling apart when souma says "nah he's running a diner down the street"
Next arc will be male-centric, that's the pattern lately
>Tourney finals = Curry and Dog
>Stagire = Hishoko
>School Festival = Kuga
>Current arc = Erina
>Next arc = some male
Got to balance out the fanservice
>Current arc = Erina
There's so many things happening in the current arc, so I wouldn't just put it all on Erina. It's more Nakiri-centric, with Azami, Erina and Senzaemon.
Next arc should be about the rest of the Elite Ten.
Not yet,but its confirmed than the manga is going to have a romantic end
>"When they were talking about that topic they only made it clear that the girl who Souma will end up with isn't set on stone yet"
>Gourmet Hitler Azami is introduced
>He shits on everyone
>Anons start to wish Soma would beat him
>Azami says he liked Soma's dad
>Anons start dreaming about papa Azami and how he will make Souma marry Erina
If Hitler had a cute daughter, maybe he would have won the WW2.
>a foodgasm so strong that it bends the space-time continuum
Souma will die.
But his soul will choose to go back in time, the time when he was happiest, and he will be at volume 1 first chapter.
Hishoko who loves Souma wants to be with him too and wants to be in a time when Souma loved her, but since he already loves Erina she'll go back in time before Souma is born, and became his mother.
I'm sort of OK with Erina since she drives the plot forward by being a damsel in distress and is a device to introduce edgemaster 3000 ritebehindu, like how Megumi drove the plot forward back in training camp and introduce Shinomiya the sex god.
Also, if we're talking 'next arc', Erina has more of a claim to it - she's an Elite 10, Soma just semi-beat Eizen and issued a direct challenge to the others, so it could well be an E10 arc. Megumi simply isn't high enough on the powerlevel chart to register in an E10 arc, they wouldn't even target her because there are much higher priority targets like Curry and Dog.
Fries look kinda undercooked. It probably needed a minute or so until it was taken out. Yellow thing is a spicy yogurt sauce, correct? It would've been better if you served it in a separate bowl, or maybe a ramekin. The ketchup, I have no idea. If you really want to improve this dish, anon, I suggest adding some meat to it. Ground beef is a good idea. It compliments the fries, as well as the creamy texture and the spiciness of your sauce.
But really, anon.
>using turmeric on fries
You could argue a similar thing happens for Erina as well, with her being tsun about it.
>higher priority targets like Curry and Dog.
Man, as good as those three were at the end of the elections, they could really get stomped if certain members of the Elite Ten come down on them.
Let's assume her potential is infinite. I don't think anyone but Senzaemon knows about this since his fundoshi didn't fall off onto the ground outside the bathroom.
And her infinite potential is really just that - potential. SnS has made more or less clear that even the most infinite potential AKA the main character has a limited growth rate - even now he's at most equal to Eizen level. Megumi is not going to suddenly skyrocket forward enough to surpass curry and dog or enough to be relevant in an E10 arc.
The Elite Ten look very scary right now. Souma even commented how Eishi didn't even need to ask how good his food was because he was confident, despite being a massive autist. I'm guessing the only ones he could challenge in order to gain a seat would be either Kuga or Eizan. The former seems more likely however.
I noticed it when you told me. I was just speeding through the image so I didn't see all of the ingredients. Jesus Christ this is horrible.
Souma seems to think he would've gotten shitstomped by Eizen if the dude went into the match with a cooking mindset, Eizen ground away what sounds to be half the match sitting there waiting for news from the delinquents and served an ad-hoc dish that certainly wasn't a specialty.
Even if we take Rindou's statement that he's stronger than at least one or two of the higher E10s, this means that Eizen should be more or a match for Curry, Dog, or Souma. Shit even Isshiki could probably wipe the dirt with them, and that's not even touching 3rd years
Lad you're losing it, he's the main character the only ones with more potential are the main antagonist and sometimes the rival
If I agree it's literally only because while both have '''''infinite potential''''' Souma's already turned more of that potential into reality.
>and sometimes the rival
I honestly don't know who the rival is in this series anymore. It's supposed to be Takumi, but then they went with Curry and Dog. Now they have Kuga, and then Eizan. What is this? Seasonal rivals? I'm getting confused.
We haven't seen anything of Nene yet though. I remember people thinking Eizen couldn't really cook THAT well and was just good at culinary consulting or something which is also a 'culinary' field, but it turns out he's a fucking genius who knows how to cook anything on the fly
Nene may as well be Marui++ or something who knows literally everything there is to know about cooking theory, including Souma's adhoc bullshit.
He just said he's not on Eizan's level though and Kuga had like all of last arc to him and just got a Shokugeki turned down by Souma
I doubt he's getting an E10 seat during the next arc.
His dad is the faraway goal, that's not the rival. To use an example everyone knows Nardo's rival isn't the Hokage, it's Sauce
who really should've been a girl
You're not rivals with someone twenty leagues ahead of you, you're rivals with someone who grows with you
Souma doesn't really have a rival afaik, he gains a goal then surpasses them / forgets about them after reaching them (or in the case of currynose after he loses to him)
What if it was all an elaborate ruse?
What if Erina confesses and Souma doesn't care?
What if Tadokoro confesses and Souma doesn't care?
What if the way Souma wins against Jouchirou is to become an excellent chef without finding someone who he'd to give all his food to?
