>>136114320 Kek and Lel, as if the author didn't want Chihiro to win. Didn't you see those collectors coins he had taken a picture of at a Kanon concert? Took one with Gold Keima and Silver Chihiro. Not to mention the art of Chihiro in a wedding dress and her having her own arc outside of the conquests with making a band.
>>136114454 >>136114545 Keep your delusions to yourself. The only moment that shows that Chihiro is going to win is in the final arc. The arc before that had none of this shit. The assistant force the mangaka to let her win. You can see that when the ending changed a bit to not show that Chihiro really win and just implied it.
Wakaki Tamiki I want everyone to know you messed up big time.To betray the feelings of your readers,so shamelessly.I want to save as many people as possible from this epic dissapointment.
TWGOK was always about people having different values and beliefs struggling against reality.Acknowledging a world bigger than Keima was what this series has been about.
This ending is basically saying that people like Stephen Hawking don't exist in real life. This is the mind of every Chihiro shipper in a nutshell. This manga would COMPLETELY TRASH on everything else just to get Chihiro and Keima to happen. Not even mass effect's original ending could compare with the travesty of storytelling that is this. You thinks Eva's ending did not make sense?Wait till you see this one!
1.The reason why she loved him was that she wanted to shine with him.I guess a girl is not allowed to shine on her own....It kind of makes the moment where she let go of Keima at 189 meaningless don't you think. She was Keima first love and it should have been that way.And Keima only developed romantic feelings for her cause of his guilt.
2.Elsie becoming human. Not even an animal could write this badly. It takes skill to undo two years, heck 6 years worth of effort in 3 chapters. If Elsie is not a demon,TWGOK would have never happened in the first place.Whatever forced Wakaki's hand really....
3.Satyr. Well lets make them less of a threat than Fiore was.
4.Keima He treats those he met as means to an end.Shunning them for Chihiro.Heck, he is even worse than chpt 1.I wanted to see him be more caring and less self-centred.Even the hardcore otakus probably wouldn't be this cold. You may or may not love them but to just leave them like that....Even Chpt 1 keima had some of the basics of respect.
5.Tenri Well, I never got to see her coming of age story. That sendoff was pretty stupid.A lame attempt to give her some development .Telling someone to move on does not mean you dealt with it.
6.Chihiro While you shippers to this day continue to preach the gospel of "normal".Nobody never really gave a damn about her own personal story.Wakaki's biggest fail.At least with every other girl they got to show their individually.I wonder what is worse, moe and the anime industry or a normal girl reduced to a blank-slate self insert.
>>136113216 Mad? No. I'm sad for Keima, though. He is such a tragic character. First he was in love with 2D shit, then he moved on to 3D shit. All his life he never knew a life free of love, a life of freedom. He will be love's slave forever. I wish the author gave him a better fate, but I suppose not all stories must have a happy ending.
>>136116771 This is a telephone tag effect of the fact that the editor suggested Chihiro's first arc should come earlier in the story than Wakaki first intended. Looking at it with hindsight this might have been because the ending of the manga or at least her role in it was planned out well in advance and the editor thought it would pace the manga better to fully introduce her earlier.
>>136113216 Hell yeah I am, the two last arcs were the worst shit I've read in a long time, I don't care wich girl won, I'm mad because you can tell the author didn't gave a fuck about the manga anymore.
>>136115082 You've got to be fucking kidding me. I can't believe there are still people here who can't read between the lines for a manga directed at a fucking shonen audience. Your reading comprehension is below the level of a high schooler.
First of all, it's not about "moments" or "hints", you attention deficit scum. The manga always had themes and motifs about the imperfection of love and imperfection of the real world. Keima's character went from 2D only the real world is meaningless to the real world and the people in it are flawed but interesting. Do you maybe see why this fits with the whole theme we're going for and why it makes sense for Keima as a character who's undergone this character development to be attracted to an imperfect human who he can't control like he did in his games? What the fuck did you think the whole Akari arc was for? It was meaningless to the outcome of the plot, so unless there's symbolic or thematic meaning there it shouldn't be there. The whole point was Keima coming to terms with the idea that if everything was perfect then love wouldn't be needed. I seriously hope you're not this retarded/delusional to see that the ending made perfect sense and was likely planned from chapter 1 or at least very early on. The message of the series (unpredictability of humans makes the real world interesting) and Keima's character development both point to this conclusion, and if you can't see that then you have some serious brain problems.
>>136119713 This. I can't understand Tenrifags and Ayumifags, from begining to end Keima made clear he only cared about the goddesses to defeat the weiss. The only one he ever shown feeling for was Chihiro.
>>136114233 There aren't many hints in the actual narrative, but there's an afterward where Wakaki says he wishes plain girls like Chihiro would get more limelight in manga. From then on it was pretty obvious that she'd be the girl Keima would end up with. The real kicker is how much Tenri and Tenrifags were led on, coupled with how appalling bad the final third of the manga is anyway, just for it to peter out and end in such an anti-climactic way make this ending difficult for anyone to appreciate. I can't imagine any but the most hardcore Chihirofags or Tenrihaters actually enjoy it for what it is; as a Haquafag I knew my girl had 0 chance of winning and I still found the ending extremely unsatisfying.
>>136113216 I had my suspicions from the start, since her arc was the only one that deviated from the initial formula. I didn't like her, but I the theme that was set up was pretty obvious and the festival arc only served to solidify my suspicions.
I don't particularly like Chihiro as a character, but her winning was obviously the ending that made the most sense.
>>136124408 >>136124707 Weren't Manaka and Nishino dating for like two volumes before the ending? Honestly, she had the healthiest relationship with him. Aya was an obsessed doormat and Satsuki did nothing but try to abuse her sex appeal to seduce him. Nishino had her own dreams, a strong personality and they had an equal relationship between lovers. She was the best ending.
>>136124707 While Nishino always had tension with Manaka and dated quite a few times, Manaka taking his feelings for Nishino seriously only came in the last stretch, after the author setting up Aya during most of the story.
It's like if Onodera won Nisekoi, it would make sense in that Raku has liked her all the story, but the plot is clearly fucking set up for Chitoge to win.
Chihiro end made the most sense and she actually won, so no complaints there (and I'm not even a Chihirofag).
