Anime or manga?
Why the fuck would you use a trip, especially for a post as shitty as this?
Fuck off, tripfag.
OP, make sure you get the Blurays for the anime. The anime and manga do a lot of things differently, but they're both pretty enjoyable, so do try them both.

Which would you say is the better one? Both the manga and anime would take a lot of time for me to finish, and I'm a bit tight on time for the unforeseeable future.
Would you rather be an active or passive participant? The anime leaves you to just sit back, watch tv and the anime does all the hard work. The manga would make you a more active player in the proceedings.
That's a surprisingly fair point. I'll be clicking less while watching.
I'll get the anime, then.

Did any groups ever make encodes for the blurays? I don't have enough space for up to 300 GB of raw files.
I haven't read the manga yet but the anime is awesome.
Anime, then the movies and finally the manga.
Small recomendation, don't watch the fifth movie until you read all the manga, the fifth movie is an adaptation of the final arc of the manga, also is why all the characters act like their manga versions and not like their animated versions.
Also there's a few differences between the way the characters are in the both mediums
As with all Rumiko Takahashi (and CLAMP) series, the anime improved it drastically.
Some authors have good ideas, but poor implementation. In the case of Takahashi, she has one good idea that fills one volume, then pads it out for 40 volumes.
He's someone who only cares about his own pleasure. But unlike most male MCs, he's proactive about it. Openly hitting on any girl he sees. Yet when he is pushed into a corner, he still admits to liking Lum the best.
He's one of the few times a male MC in a harem has been done right. Just like this guy with a similar name.
He's under pressure to mature a little and his models for adult life are his parents. He's accepted Lum and growing up as inevitabilities but resolved to go down kicking and screaming.
He's harmless, the most he does is grope girls, but he's clueless about what's next.
Yeah, they're full of nice guys who never win, because the girl is lusting after some rapist dick.
>girl lusting over the rapist
I'm confident you don't even know what Shoujo is.
That's okay, so's Lum.
Glad I'm not the only one who sees it. Lum is by far the most vindictive and spiteful person on the show. People just overlook it because she's 'cute'.
Shampoo really is a total clone of her. Just showing her angry side more often.
There do seem to be some cultural differences, the violence, blackmail, mind-control all seem completely normal for space. She still knows what she's doing and it wouldn't be funny if it wasn't Ataru.
