>Watch this over the past couple of days on netflix
>actually enjoy it and try to ignore the blatant fan service
they somehow end up on a beach with the only explanation being that they rowed there
entire episode is pure fan service
ends with promises of season 2 continuing the story
>see that only season one is available on netflix but because I have gimped british netflix I just assume that they haven't added it
>they haven't announced a new season yet
>the first season was in 2010
>This will never be finished due to the lack of audience in Japan
sometimes I think I should just look up the endings before hand so this shit stops happening
Have you guys seen it?
what did you think?
Personally I think it was a good concept with ok characters handled poorly with too much fan service
It's somehow the best "serious" zombie show in all of anime. Note the drifters of the dead ova was an original not found in the source manga.
If i'm remembering right it's not being finished because the writer and artist had a falling out. Writer does not want to continue the manga after the last big tsunami, sales were also somewhat poor in japan. Artist went on to make Triage X. And it suffered for not having a decent writer.
I was actually really into the show too
I was actually curious about what would happen and what kind of character developments we would have
The fan service is nice, but thus would still be interesting to me even if it didnt have fan service
>mfw I wasn't the only one in the world who liked it for anything except the fanservice.
If anything the first episode including the after credits scene is one of my all time favorite episodes of anime ever.
>mfw the last big tsunami was 5 years ago
i'm surprised they aren't over it
>Writer and artist had a fall out
So is the series confirmed dead?
writer also had health problems
Yeah, that was really weird. I actually dropped the show before because I felt the fanservice was too much, but a few years ago I got the itch for zombies and rewatched it and got super into it.
It was a really comfy series, hit all the right points for a good character based zombie story, and now it's deader than the zombies.
Also Rei was best girl.
>Also Rei was best girl.
I have a thing for 2D 3DPD, I can't help it.
currently watching flawless, artifact-free FULL-HD YuruYuri on hulu on a Smart plasma 3D tv
(Panasonic Viera ST60)before i go to sleep
If you like super soft-core ecchi that's perfectly fine but I didn't pop a boner once because I wasn't in the mood for it
Also if I want to tug one off i'll just watch a hentai
>Watches a show built on fan service and complains about the fan service.
Are you dumb?
>this casualfag thinks there is an ending
Saeko best girl. BEST.
I haven't seen the anime, but I read the manga until the part where they go that mall (which felt like a massive waste of time)
All in all I liked it, I'd be glad if it continued, if anything because it reminds me of the period when I got into manga
I honestly think it is one of the best "serious" zombie manga out there. Yeah, the fan service is a nice bonus, but I kept reading for the story. Really bummed this is most likely dead.
The Author has already moved onto a new light novel series called "Elves and Tanks".
HOTD is dead.

Jeez filthy casuals. Everyone knows you're only a true anime fan and that others are inferior to you if you only do the most elitist thing possible
>If i'm remembering right it's not being finished because the writer and artist had a falling out.
There's no confirmation on this and purely a rumor. However Daisuke Satou is known to be a lazy ass writer who takes multiple long hiatuses and never finishes his work.
>Aren't they brothers?
They aren't. Satou is a common last name. That should be common knowledge. What's wrong with you anon?
Depends on the airport entry you want
Yep he's pretty fucked after the tsunami and his heart problems but still would be good to see his artist and him back together again
I know, i know, but you know the song. "You can't always get what you want. But If you try sometimes, you just might find. You just might find You get what you need"
>It's somehow the best "serious" zombie show in all of anime.
Somehow this. It's dumb, but I can say I enjoyed it more than, let's say, Walking Dead. I liked the runaway feel of HOTD. If you can forget about/not focus on fanservice, it's actually a pretty hype adventure.
The tsunami and heart problem is complete bull. He's currently writing for LN about tanks and elves. Daisuke Satou wrote himself into a corner with HOTD and lacks any motivation to continue writing it. The manga started way back in 2005 and it only has 30 chapters for Chrisake. His hiatuses were longer than the manga was running.
well then, post something interesting
MC as MC powers
Roach is MC main bitch
and They're not edge enough to kill a kid.
Out of the group, the only people that could be killed off are Pink, Nurse, and Fatty.
Killing the Nurse would just be seen as a waste. Killing Fatty means killing the wish fulfillment because he's living the dream and Saya must be attached to that. It's a situation where any other additions are just guaranteed to die, so the writing was going to get stale quick.
Killing off both Fatty and Pink could work.
And it would parallel to the scene early on when that guy was getting eaten and his girlfriend went back to him. Pink mocked how stupid it was.
Why am I putting more effort into writing a better story than the writer?
>> Not watching 1gbs 4k 4d with a body pillow
4K tv is not yet ready since no one in the industry can agree to a single standard of what HDR (high dynamic range) should be. And there's barely any content other than 4K stream.
Can someone please explain to me how the writer is a major pillar for the manga`s survival? If it was the artist I could understand that, but why is a writer important in a manga? Can't just the artist spew out some bullshit to at least continue the story? People would still eat it up since they come for the fanservice anyway.
It kind of affected the whole eastern side of the country. A bit difficult to just brush aside. It's not like Katrina and that one little part of the continental U.S.
