It's the other way around. Bulma ran shit in that household. She had Vegeta and shitload of Picklemen living with her for months, after Fridge made all of them homeless, luring Vegeta in by having her dad create a new gravity chamber.

After she and Yamcha split, she got knocked up by Vegeta, kept the baby and gave zero shits that he fucked off to train for the androids.

If not for Goku and mainly future Trunks' influence, Vegeta would still be a homeless deadbeat.

Even with him going back to live with Bulma again, he spent the next 7 years training alone like a retard, neglecting kid Trunks, after not only swearing off fighting ever again and crying over future Trunks' death, but the fact that he could have used SSJ2 Kid Gohan as a training partner and kept the latter from slacking off from his training.
