Calm the hell down, I was joking. Nagisa a shit.
It's absolutely amazing. I have never watched something that meaningful before. Even until today it's my favourite LN and OVA, if not story as overall. There are no words fit enough for describing It. Simply.. just, amazing. A Masterpiece of OVA. I couldn't stop crying because of how perfect it was. I highly recommend to spend hours on the LN too.
Not entirely true, both of them helped fix each other's problems, and Nagisa is probably the only one who wanted Tomoya to better the situation with his dad. She is also a better foil for him than Tomoyo.
Tomoyo is the better girl, but Nagisa is the better girl for him.
The whole sequence is considerably better in the VN though. Her constant failed attempts at keeping up her facade after that string of mistakes that she made are part of her appeal.
He's right in that Nagisa had better chemistry with Tomoya and that she was more helpful in getting Tomoya to right his wrongs, but it's not really saying much considering the "chemistry" in both pairings relies entirely on Tomoya being the "lesser" person, which is unhealthy.
It's a pretty typical conundrum for people who can't bring themselves to be selfish outside of the limitations that they impose on themselves.
best route is afterstory where nagisa stays dead and clannadman gets with kindergarten teacher who already gets along with his daughter
>may not be easy on Ushio
Good thing Ushio likes Kyou quite a bit and would, after a few years at least, likely think about the option that would make her dad happiest.
There's no way either Tomoya or Kyou would allow themselves to even consider anything of the sort though. They both have too much respect for one another and for Nagisa to do that.
I feel like I was heavily biased against these two because they weren't sperglords who would die from embarrassment the moment someone so much as looked at them.
Tomoyo = Kyou + δ though. Just enough to make her my eternal waifu.
while we're on the subject of clannad, did anyone else realize how based sunohara is?
A girl was begging to be his girlfriend, something he always wanted. but he refused because he knew what was going on.
and then, he trusts Tomoya enough to let him have his little sister. what a bro
He may be bookdumb, but he's fantastic at guessing people's thoughts and seeing beyond simple facades.
>in love with Tomoyo
>don't want to do any other route in the VN
Also I obviously didn't mean LN here >>136028504 but in fact VN, I'm just a retard needing some sleep (the manga is satisfying, though, hate me the much you want)
Why does Tomoyo after have to be so damn depressing? My copy of Tomoyo after btw
Piraruku Piraruku Gyogyogyogyogyo
I love fish~!
It doesn't really matter since she's extremely unlikely to go through anything life-threatening during the illness ever again unless she's unlucky. The important thing is that Ushio does not have it after reloading the save file.
She can't see the lights until the very end of AS when they're revealed to everyone, so she herself probably doesn't have much of a connection except by proxy, unlike Tomoya and Akio (or even Kyou in her own route).
It's an odd case of her being the creator of the world without actually knowing about it.
Actually no, thinking on it, Nagisa didn't have to know anything about the World to come up with that play. The way I now see the progression is as follows:
* Nagisa's route (the play creates the Illusionary World in Tomoya's mind) (we do not see this first traversal happening)
* After Story (the two meetings with Akio, along with Tomoya's violent reactions to the town changing, establish the meadow as the gateway to the Illusionary World on the basis of the miracle Akio witnessed)
* Nagisa's death (thanks to Tomoya's pessimistic hopelessness)
* Ushio's death (Tomoya wishes he was in a better world -> retreats into the Illusionary World - this is when the events of the dreams happen and how he learns of the lights)
* Tomoya repeatedly relives every single route apart from Nagisa's (thus acquiring the lights)
* Nagisa's route happens again (this is what we see)
* AS happens again (complete with Tomoya having various sudden realizations about the play, the Dango Daikazoku and his own dreams)
* Ushio dies
* Tomoya is transported to the Illusionary World again, but now Ushio knows everything and gives him the necessary information, thus making Tomoya remember everything
* Tomoya is once again transported to the start of Nagisa's route, but he now knows absolutely everything (...and so does Nagisa?)
* very quick timeskip to the birth moment (Tomoya is not hopeless this time -> the lights show up)
I bet a lot of it is still wrong, but it makes sense to me.
The line in the screenshot and Nagisa's response are completely unprompted and devoid of context the first time, but they're perfectly sensible once you've finished AS, since the final traversal to the start of Nagisa's route is all about Tomoya knowing everything and now having the knowledge necessary to proceed without panicking, being hopeless or having any other reason to wish he'd never met Nagisa and thus "caused" the birth chapter to happen.
The one thing I'm still puzzled about is Nagisa's wish for Fuko's recovery generating its own light, which makes me wonder if Fuko is the reason why Ushio knows everything after the second traversal through the main timeline and gets the chance to inform Robot!Tomoya about it.
It's okay, we've long since established who the sole winner is.
After I knew him I started to hope more shit to the bros in manga and anime.
Actually I watch/read series where the "bro" gets some love like in Bakatest and disrespect Monogatari for the lack of male friends for Araragi.
Maybe for that reason I like Suruga there.
Did you import that anon?
I always wanted to buy one for myself especially after Tomoyo After Perfect Edition is available and buyable in J-List.
I'm just not sure if custom going to check it or not especially since I can't exactly remember if the back of the disc case shows a h-scene or not.
I live in the US now but I'm going back to a shitty third-world country after I'm done with my college (which is pretty soon) so there's that adding to my worry.
Granted the game is coming to Steam soon and I'll probably going to buy it but I want a physical copy of my favorite VN because my love for Tomoyo hasn't died since 2011 when I first read the VN.
>get into college
>for the first time ever, a girl is super into me, and comes forward and tells me
>shes a chubby slut
felt so bad turning her down too, really was a bother
I still don't understand why afterstory Tomoya didn't try to get with Kyou when they met again. Ushio liked her and he was moving on in every other aspect of his life. Was he planning to be celibate forever?
>He moved on
In the scene after that where he sings Ushio Dango Daikozaku he tears up, and he thinks about what it'd be like if Nagisa were alive when he's playing cards with Fuko.
He's far from moved on at that point.
