I've just watch Kino No Tabi and I must say that I watch way fewer animes than I should before everything.
Anyway, after watching it all, I've come to the conclusion that its well-written, is proof of a lot of creativity (for the montage of the images as well as the uses of the sounds and music), that the characters are intelligently designed and that the subject really philosophical (I say that but don't take me like those 12 years old retards who, when they aren't sure to understand, think its super cool - Bioshock infinite for example which is total crap fits in this kind of case) isn't pushed in the face of the public. The themes and ethics are really well used.
Sometimes the dialogues are a little kitsch and all (especially at the beginning) but overall it was a incredible pleasure to watch and I will show it to the most people possible.
My question is, is this anime considered GOAT or nowhere enough people as seen it? You know, I'm aware of nothing and I'm not active enough in this media to be considered connoisseur.
Secondly, do you know other anime in this similar branch or genre where i should go next? Semi-tomboyish girls who try to understand their role and their responsibilities in need to learn new vision and ideologies or just plain philosophical stories who wont be there to answers their original and well made personal questions.
This series has made a hole my heart (especially the 10th episode, the one with androids) and it graves to be fill up.
Also be welcomed to discuss your opinion on this series; I mean, we are here to talk.
Mushishi is very much in the same vein as Kino no Tabi. Spirits, nature, travelling, Japanese philosophy.
And no, I hardly ever see Kino No Tabi discussed here. Great series though.
>>136025619 Thanks for the reply, I'm rarely on /a/ and I cant manage to know how many time a thread needs to die. Beside that, I will gladly see what Mushishi looks like when I have the time, I put it in my list on top :)
Dear OP, it makes me glad that you recognize a good anime for what it is and sadly these days their kind are extinct. But this isn't the place to ask for recommendations as it's against the rules. Go to the recommendation board and copy paste your post there.
>there will never be a sequel
>the anime barely adapted a tenth of the novels
>even if there was a sequel it would be shit because the director is dead
Yeah, but the second film didn't touch me compared to the series. It needs more than just better animation after all this, considering it took like 2 years
I didn't wanted to go against the rule. I will try to make better next time.
I'm french and its been 2 days I haven't slept. Thanks for the regard ;)
Its not against the culture, its against the people.
But sorry, I will stop, I promise.
And for the question of rec, I thought if people would talked about it it wouldn't be that bad.
It would be really nice to have a Kino thread. But I also hate rec threads and OP totally deserves to have his thread deleted and be banned.
Fuck this really is a Catch 22. Sage.
I like the art style. The LNs should be localized.
No, fuck that, seriously, anything that follows stupid formulas like that is the worst shit of all time.
>what is best ___, and why is it ___
>what is the best ___. Protip: it's
>can we all agree that ___
>___ was made for ___
etc etc etc
Fuck it all.
the question of using human as object, like eating them or using them as medical needs is a big ethic question but it needed to me that the production team should have used more visual and musical techniques.
I mean, there is episode where it goes everywhere and there is "onirique" (the dream) stuff and all.
Nothing in the film. Its just a normal episode with nothing new or anything.
2 years for a normal episode? I mean, try stuff and go nuts, you have the budget and the public. Their supposed to have fun, not pay their bill.
I always knew. Only a girl could be this smug.
Everything you wrote screams that you're a fucking newfag to 4chan in general. I'll prescribe you two years of lurking, of which at least one year has to be on /a/ or another board related to nip culture.
Spice and Wolf is often put in the same category as that, but it's awfully mediocre in comparison.
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou has a travelling arch that's lovely, but only in the manga.
I can make it 4K for you if you want.
No you fucking neanderthal, it's what happens when you take a screenshot in fullscreen. Christ, do you even know what quality is?

This anime is so good.
I'm conflicted, Kino is one of my favorite series, but this thread is cancer.
Mononoke. A character that showed up in the last 3 episodes of an anime called Ayakashi that got his own spin-off.
Watch those last 3 episodes of Ayakashi then Mononoke. It's very interesting.
There needs to be more SoL shows that don't take place in high school.
Yeah, I've been there. You would be lucky to find anyone replying to you. It's a board to ask for recommendation, not a board to for other people to make recommendations. You are lucky if there are people who are currently asking for recommendations to give a reply. And it's for everything, which makes people even care less about.
