Bleach would be great if it was about the characters instead of the retarded plot.

That's why everything through Soul Society was so great. The plot was barebones simple (fight Hollows, save Rukia) so there wasn't much getting in the way of the action and the characterization, the things that Bleach is actually good at. But then the cast fucking exploded once the shinigami all became recurring characters, which meant that Kubo couldn't really flesh out characters they way he used to, not to mention the hogyoku causes hollowfication that creates the arrancar of whom the strongest are the espada and they live in hueco mundo but Ichigo is a vizard which is like an arrancar but different and there's a shit ton of new vizard characters to go with the espada characters so now we have three factions with a huge number of named characters and holy fuck does anyone even care anymore
