/tv/, please go. The original trilogy was perfectly fine for what it was, even if Return of the Jedi had some missteps here and there. Not only were they entertaining, they represented well the hippie youth discontent. What makes it so good is the fact that it was never supposed to be this hugely popular franchise. Truly accidental art, not unlike NGE, and something that came from the heart.

The prequels were only a disgusting cash grab after George Lucas discovered his true talent was marketing and branding and not film making.

The new movies set up to do the same thing as the prequels, which is to make fuckloads of cash, but they're engineered to trick you into thinking that you're watching a legitimate piece work from a director with a vision. Also, it's about race mixing.
