Sounds like an anti-rec to me.

I liked this manga a bit at first, but after forgetting about it for a year or so and reading through the most recent few chapters, it seems to be getting a lot worse.

Its an OVA that came with one of the latest manga releases. So its more a recap overview. Its not meant to be a standalone.

I dropped the manga after it started to get inconsistent
In the first few chapters he was over powered. Then the author started to shit on the working rules of his power he established in previous powers to the point he became a weakling
