She utterly fails at sounding male. There are voice actresses who can do masculine voices, but she is not one of them. Don't get me wrong, she does her best and it's not her fault she's stuck voicing a grown man, but no one has ever heard Goku's voice and had to wonder if it was a woman.

You just watched Dragon Ball up to the end of the Piccolo Daimao arc. Goku was appropriately voiced by a woman who could pull off a child-like voice well. The very next episode, Goku is all grown up and greeted by his friends. How jarring would it be to not only have a grown-up Goku but also a more masculine voice? Nozawa voicing the character throughout his entire life (and she did change the tone) helps form a connection with the character as we watch both series, not to mention it fits Goku's child-like innocence and naivety extremely well.

But this is coming from someone who doesn't like Schemmel anyway, so I don't get it. I much prefer Peter Kelamis, if only he got rid of the stupid surfer accent, he'd pull off a great Goku.

I respect Nozawa but she is still an awful voice for Adult Goku. There are alot of voices in he JP voices that need to get fucking scrapped like King Kai. His voice sounds like someone who topple over dead at sneezing. Trunks' voice is also annoying. Love Vegeta's voice though.

After watching the dub of Shinsekai Yori, I was thoroughly convinced that Greg has range. Voiced the same character after each time skip and sounded completely different each time. It's also not like he enjoys being typecast; he says that to this day, his favorite roll was Kaworu from Eva.

You end up hearing the same voices all over the place, it's fucking lazy as shit and leads to the wrong voices at the wrong places.

You hear a few dubs, and suddenly you heard most of them due to what I mentioned.
