Despite it only being like 42-50 chapters to adapt, I feel like 12 episodes is kinda short for this, especially since its going to actually do the whole thing as an adaption, including the actual unfinished manga ending, but with such a stellar first episode I cautiously optimistic. Only complaint would be that everything might happen so quickly it'll feel a little strange. Like we'll probably get to March at like episode 3, which is sad because theres a lot of really cool stuff I'd like to see adapted. Also, it will inevitably mean Airi-chan is only gonna be in like, three more episodes including the last one (probably)

True, but the stuff that it skips are what the makes the manga better than the adaption. You get more character building, more insight, more enjoyable parts and just generally more of everything.

There was nothing that could be trimmed out to make this manga better, that can't be said for all manga. True you could probably get rid of some of it without losing much, but you still won't get the same effect the manga gave. Satoru's relationship with Airi will be less fleshed out in the anime than in the manga, for instance.

Here's the spoiler if you wanna know, if you don't then just skip it.

The story have 2 main heroine, both considered as MC love interest. Airi was his crush, Kayo was his friend at first but wind up as his love interest as well.

Here the plot twist, MC's succeed in saving his friend&mom but he's in Coma for 15 years, Kayo end up married his best friend and he himself have no memories about her other than the fact that she's his friend and glad that she's alive. Airi never met him in this timeline.

So, in my opinion, it's more like a reset relationship with Kayo out of the picture in the romance solution rather than an actual NTR.
