The characters aren't particularily original or interesting, but I thought that they nailed the group dynamic. The main guys genuinely felt like friends goofing around with each other.
The drama aspect of the series also mostly focused on their mentor, so there wasn't any dumb infighting once they'd gotten over their differences in the first few episodes.
The rival group was also fun.
All in all, nothing special, but watchable if you enjoy cute boy idorus singing with hilariously terrible choreography.
