Have we talked about what the identity of the black king is yet? Have we talking about how it's very heavily foreshadowed to beJesus Christ?
Especially apparent when you hypothosize what role Jeanne d'Arc will have in later chapters, since she easily can get btfo by Toyo.
Her whole deal with being an offscourge is that she can never forgive God for the unfairness of her death, and resents and curses her faith.
Her death was seen as martyrdom and her story has quite a few similarities to that of Christ's.
It'd be really played out well if this turns out to be true and we get to see her inner turmoil being torn between revenge, empathy, hate, and all the while Toyo telling her to fuck off back to the kitchen.
Who do you guys think it is? Or do you think Hirano Kouta is going to make it an obscure historical figure?

I keep getting the feeling that there won't be a happy ending for her, like if she finally learn to let go of her hatred for humanity she'll just move to the afterlife peacefully and fade into dust or something like that. Unlike the Drifters Jean was confirm dead in our world so her staying alive would be really strange.

There wasn't much of a reason to keep her alive though after that first battle with Toyo. I mean she essentially gets 2/3rds of the way into "peacefully passing" when she got pushed into the well.
I'd be fine with her not surviving though. There was already that Mercenary Pierre manga where Jeanne prepared a body doubled and then got married to the MC and lived out in the countryside with him.
I just want Toyo to have a good end, but there's no other ending other than "dying in battle, for he has outlived his use", no matter how many angles I look at it.
I can't imagine him even being able to exist in a time of peace.

Maybe he'll learn how to become a ruler like Nobunaga wanted him to and learn that there's more to life than the rush of battle, or maybe he'll just steal a dragon and fly to fight on a different continent or something and leave his empire to someone else. Either way, I can't see Toyo dying at all.

I'm talking way down the line. Everyone would need to have a power up to fight not!jesus anyways. But as it seems both corridor man and gothloli are treating human lives as game pieces, meaning they're objectively both in the wrong.
Not!Jesus is objectively lawful neutral/good too, same as Hitler was. Except he's on the monster side. Anyone can be in the wrong at this point and that's where Toyo's "I don't care, I live the way I live. I am the way I am" bushido comes into play.
