What did /a/ think of Code Geass? How good were Geass Sundays?

The show was whack, but it bought the most activity out of any show

It basically hijacked /a/ for 1-3 days

I don't remember a single show causing the board name to change.
The only other show to get to that level was Toradora spawning the twin evil tripfags of LancedJack and Taiga, to the point where our lord moot changed anonymous to randomly be renamed to either LancedJack or Taiga.
I remember threads filled with posts entirely centering around the fact that one of the those tripfags posted and it was the most nonsensical things ever. It had to be some sort of evil IRC plan of some sort, that response was just insane.

Personally Code Geass is my favorite anime of all time and that will never change. So best weekends of my life

i'm sure code geass was a peak for any community that handles anime

Code Geass was 10/10, meaning it gets a yearly rewatch from me

It's such a watchable show that simply absorbs all of your attention in its theatrics

My first day on /a/ was the day the last episode of R1 aired. The whole front page was spammed with this image and others from the scene, accompanied by "HAHAHA SUCK IT GEASSFAGS" "ENJOY YOUR SHITTY CLIFFHANGER." I'll never forget my sheer level of confusion.
