Fuck off retard, this is AOTS and probably AOTY
You're both wrong
AOTS is this
I'm still confused, there should have been a larger shitstorm on here when Musaigen first aired simply because it's Kyoani legit going all out wit the fanservice but I barely read anything about it.
Jokes like that aren't funny anon, I'm still recovering from last season's battle harems. I die a little bit every time a series opens up with a protagonist walking in on a naked tsundere.
Are you sure you were browsing /a/ when it aired?
There were 20 threads all featuring Mai's tits.
This girl is kind of fucking weird if you think about it, I mean, she seems unsettling in the setting. Even in a world of superpowers I'd probably be a bit suspicious about a chick that hangs around alone afterschool, devouring monsters on her own when there's obviously a proper protocol for it.
The only way she can hurt you is by emptying your wallet.
I feel like ever since the end of K-on Kyoani has been having an identity crisis.
As a studio they don't know what they are or what they want to say. From Lucky Star to K-on!! They knew who they were and what they were about. Now they don't really have an identity at all. They just turn blithely and untethered struggling to find a lasting artistic statement.
But they still find a way.
I think they are trying to cut themselves off of other producers and market their own anime. They've been picking up amateur light novels (or cheap novels in Euph's case) to animate.
They are getting bigger though, so hopefully that means an increase in better source material.
I don't usually say this but fuck it, this has to be worst anime start to an anime season I have ever seen. So many shitty shows.
The ONLY thing worth watching is Erased, everything else is trash. Hell stuff from last season is keeping me satisfied until spring of Diamond No Ace and IBO.
Instead of baiting why don't you actually speak the actual truth.
The 2 best shows so far for Winter are definitely Erased and Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. It's definitely not that KyoAni garbage.
>people are going to gush about Boku Dake since they won't read the manga and realize it's a shit adaptation
Its going to be a lot easier to spot the plebs this season.
I watched ERASED and the candy store anime. They were both better than this. I dropped this 10 minutes in because they characters were annoying, the story is uninteresting and the color pallet for the art makes me feel sick.
>Kyoani tier: automatic AOTS
>interesting but obviously will become complete crap
Here's the actual AOTS strongest candidate though
>the most well animated boobs to ever grace the medium
>faggots call it shit
It isn't a good show anon. Like it for the tits and the harem but don't try to convince otherwise something like this is actually a solid anime. Animation, sound and visuals it is excellent but that is what you expect from a Kyoani anime.
She literally has to fondle her boobs in different ways to activate her powers.
That's just as bad as Pandora's Nene having to put her finger in Clarion's vagina compartment to activate the program.
It might have nice production values, but it isn't any good so far, thing that could change in the next episodes.
No it is bad because her powers are stupid as fuck. You can't call this good with just how ridculous the entire premise is and how characters behave.
If you like this cool but try to push this idea this is a good anime to people who seen actually solid anime.
It's not that it's sexual, it's that it's very trashy and tactless. I adore anime titties and I'll absolutely watch the hell out of this show, but it's not really good. There are plenty of good smutty shows out there, this just doesn't seem to be one of them.
You just don't get it. Phantom World is going to be an anime talked about for the next twenty years.
People will ask, "What has the best animated fanservice?" people will say Phantom World. And because Kyoani is way ahead of its time in content and talent, the only way to beat is when technology is advanced enough to compensate for the lack of talent other studios have.
This anime is revolutionary and I for one am glad to watch it all unfold.
They don't actually support freedom of speech, but there are plenty of people who preface a defense of censorship with something like "I agree with freedom of expression but..."
And then there are people who claim they like sexy things but run around and say it ruins everything.
I haven't even watched the show yet, I just came to see what people would argue is actually more likely to be AOTS
Since Phantom World is the undisputed AOTS, which show do you think comes in second?
She is literally using legitimate tai chi you ignorant fuck. It's partially based on the four humors of Greek philosophy, which is why she extracts elements from certain parts of her body. I'm sorry you're too much of a pleb to appreciate it.
I guess this "stupid" show is too smart for you.
yeah I'll probably enjoy it too, and its technical execution is far from bad, it's just very dumb even for an ecchi
>they like sexy things but run around and say it ruins everything
dumbest fuckin' mentality, like, pick a side and support it
the idea that "oh this would have been a good show if it weren't for the fanservice" is so silly to me
>what people would argue is actually more likely to be AOTS
I guess some might find it funny, but it comes off rather childish and stupid to me; find myself rolling my eyes every time I ought to be laughing
not to say I don't like pervy humour (most of my favourite comedies fall into that category), I just don't think it's particularly interesting here, you know?
One of the dumbest things I ever heard.
"Listen anon, it might look stupid, panders to the otakus and makes you roll your eyes b-but it makes sense. Tai Chi or something.....philsophy from Greek. Its cool."
Oh yes truly a breath taking concept here. A girl activated her powers by sexually rubbing her body and we got researchers trying to put in the piece on why this isn't just mindless fanservice. The faggots on here are amusing.
>by every definition of "ecchi" I know, this show absolutely fits it
>no bare tits or nipples
>no allegories to sex
>male MC isn't touching the girls sexually
I think you need to brush up on your definitions, senpai
Next are you going to tell me that it is a harem despite none of the girls are in love with the MC?
But it isn't ecchi anon, it is Tai Chi.
>the idea that "oh this would have been a good show if it weren't for the fanservice" is so silly to me
Nobody would watch this show without the fanservice, and anyone who claims otherwise is naive.
I thought the limbo itself was far funnier. Like, telephone melodrama is hilarious to even think about, and I thought seeing them dance around was great. Plus the dude trying to rectify the Christian meaning of "limbo" with the act itself was also good.
maybe if they had really bad taste
the genie pixie fairy thing is annoying but I liked it a lot
Actually it's both. Obviously the reason it's there is service. But mapping elements to organs/bodyparts is exactly the kind of shit Chinese medicine is full of, and I'm actually kind of surprised this sort of thing hasn't been done before (to my knowledge).
It's like how mana replenishment in FSN is done by fucking. It's an excuse to get them to fuck. But it's ALSO rooted in actual mythology where semen was thought to be magical. You see, when decent writers do fanservice, they can use it for worldbuilding at the same time. You assume things can only have one purpose, and that's a wrong assumption.
You're getting too hung up on the words. What does it truly 'mean' to be ecchi?
Ecchi anime generally means porn anime without actual fucking. Blue balls anime. You know, like To LOVE-Ru Darkness.
Just having fanservice here and there isn't enough to classify anime as ecchi, it's just the way things normally are done..
And a ecchi harem LN shit by KyoAni is supposed to be AOTS.
Fuck off KyoAnigger.
God dammit not again.
>The MC is going to be surrounded by 3 or 4 girls that are lusting for his dick
>They battle monsters and spirits in their school club
>Not a battle harem
Sekkou Boys has made the best impression on me so far.
>vaporwave faggots are ruining this show by liking it ironically because it reminds them of an album cover
I just enjoy the concept and I liked the first episode, it has literally nothing to do with vaporwave
>only 1 episode aired
>"no it is bad show"
I know /a/ is full of retards but still
The Nile (Arabic: النيل, Eg. en-Nīl, Std. an-Nīl; Coptic: ⲫⲓⲁⲣⲱ, P(h)iaro; Ancient Egyptian: Ḥ'pī and Iteru) is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, generally regarded as the longest river in the world. It is 6,853 km (4,258 miles) long. The Nile is an "international" river as its water resources are shared by eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo-Kinshasa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. In particular, the Nile is the primary water source of Egypt and Sudan.
My candidates for AOTS is Musaigen (visuals, fun, funny), Dagashi (can't beat the crazy, although it's not as good as I expected) and Kouya (Already better than SaeKano).
Already out of the running is HaruChika (P.A. is barely trying this time), Active Raid (just doesn't click with me), BokuDake (I finished the manga a long time ago and it's quite a letdown), Pandora (cute and fun but definitely not AOTS material), and Sekkou (muh aesthetics)
I actually liked the first episode of HaruChika up until the end, when they sacrifice the 10 Commandments of Detective Fiction for the sake of establishing a love triangle.
Still gonna watch ep 2.
I would have enjoyed HaruChika a lot more if I had any chance of solving the mystery on my own, but I don't know Japanese or musical notation, so a cipher wasn't something I was likely to figure out.
Mysteries are more fun when you're trying to solve them while you watch. Hopefully the next ones are a little more accessible.
Everything is shit this season anyway.
