>Disgusting CGI backgrounds
>Static patterned textures for clothes
I'd rather have DEEN do it.
Nah, Kyoani's next project is Berserk's Millennium Falcon arc. Definitely moe enough for them
>its a manga which people talk about solely because of the drawing detail on clothing
Not really, but thanks for trying.
>kyoani animating that detailed cloth
The animation would have to be very basic if they want to aim fur such details in the clothes and patterns. But I still rather have KyoAni do it than SHAFT.
SHAFT would just butcher the visual style completely and make their own using the Bake template.
Because they're quite literally the best suited for the job and that is a fact of life.
Has Kyoani ever done anything serious? Their shows always feel too fluffy and fun even with melodrama. Otoyomegatari is all about love and serious romantic feelings.
Hyouka did it well I guess. Not romance but the serious tone it had often.
Nice tumblrspeak there lad. And the main bride can be seen as a feminist hero depending on who you ask.
Forgot about Clannad AS because of the silly artstyle.
I'm not sure I'd like the character designs either if they adapted it. But there really isn't many other options aside from maybe Madhouse
I've seen some of the trailers for Kizu and the quality leaves to be desired. They do the same trick as >>135852894 says. Everything looks so CGI and simplistic it hurts, I know that's Bake style but they usually do the same with other shows and I don't trust them in getting it right with this manga at all.
They're supposed to be doing 3 gatsu no lion soon. Let's see how that looks and hopefully it won't look like pic related.
Looks good for the style they're going for. But for Otoyomegatari?
You would only need to hire Studio Pablo for the backgrounds.
And half of the job is already done.
More important is it to have a creative team that understands what's the appeal of Otoyomegatari.
KyoAni has enough talent in-house, no need to outsource, they're not SHAFT.
One thing you all seem to forget is that KyoAni has a lot of female animators and even a director. I'm sure they could do a better job at understanding the source material.
I suppose I think they COULD do it right as well, the problem is I don't believe they would.
>arguably a better show than the first season.
It was literally the only reason to watch the first season since the first was garbage.
They'd need the seriousness of Clannad AS, with the visuals of Hyouka modified to fit the theme of the setting Otoyomegatari has.
the lesbian arc was such a waste of time, I don't want to buy the volumes but the gap in my collection is triggering my autism really bad.
It was good.
I seriously don't get why people disliked it so much. Is it just because it's yuri? It was just as cute and diabetes inducing as the rest of the manga. Autistic waifu gets her first friend and ends up loving her as a sister and another person, eventually sharing her love with her husband.
Good thing that has nothing to do with 2D.
>There are people who actually care what gender the characters are for romance
I generally only like het romance since I'm not a faggot and like you said, yuri is usually boring. But all of them have good ones. Prunus Girl is 100% homotrapshit yet it's cute as fuck. Lonely Wolf, Lonely Sheep is yurishit but it's cute as fuck.
What truly matters is the development between the characters.
>how is a spoiled, sheltered girl finding friendship interesting in any way?
The same way a bratty tomboy finding out about love is interesting.
Guess what? This is also a common theme in young adult books.
For Hibike they sat in with an actual wind ensemble and observed how the conductor would move and interact with his players.
Here's another one, they worked with the Museum of Kyoto when researching shopping districts for Tamako Market
