>MT's name is Zeke
>Ymir's death flags multiply
>Mikasa is one with the background
>Bert will fuck SL up
>Armin has given up
Annie is love
Annie is life
Annie is everything
Annie a miracle of the universe
Annie might've done some things wrong, but she's still a beautiful person inside and out
Reminder that Mikasa is cutest girl
Ymir went to save Annie. That's why it would make sense for RB to promise to 'save' Historia.
It also would make sense from a strategic POV becsuse with 2 people being saved at once, they can go home faster.
In chapter 44/47 Reiner says something to Ymir about getting Historia away from the walls. Pretty sure they have the full intention of taking her.
Not so sure of how succesful that is gonna be.
Erwin will try a desperate run to the basement and get eaten. SL then will get their shit handled. Eren will go with BR by will to save the remaining
Armin, Levi, and the restand they'll invade the wall to ge AH.
JSC will abandon the mission after they lose hope. They find a cave talking what the fuck are they gonna do. They forcefully fuck Sasha since they can't be accused of rape anymore. The cave collapses all 3 die.
It was time for boring combat training and a troublesome drizzle began to fall. Ymir sighed.
After going through the roll-call, Ymir snuck off to the nearby storehouse. The rain pounded on gently, and she was completely wet when she took cover under the eaves.
“Ahhh… I’m soaked.”
Surprised at the unexpected reply, Ymir turned around to see a petite girl standing there with folded arms, watching her as she wiped herself dry.
“…You’re here, huh, Annie.”
“Haha… is it alright?”
“What is?” Annie asked, her cool expression unchanged despite Ymir’s teasing.
“I’m asking if it’s alright for you, a top student guaranteed a spot in the top 10, to be slacking off here.”
“Combat training is ungraded. I’m not that foolish to take it seriously in this rain,” she remarked and looked over at her classmates who were training dutifully in the distance. “Humans are lazy beings after all.”
Since they weren’t being graded, most of their classmates opted to pass the time casually instead of trying their best. While none of them lazed around like Ymir and Annie, they were still quite alike mentally.
“Still, should you really be leaving that hot-blooded idiot on his own? He seems damn interested in your combat skills.” Ymir pointed at Eren… one of the few trainees giving his all in this training. He was attempting to take down his opponent, Mikasa.
“He’s just engrossed right now, trying to land a hit on the only opponent he couldn’t defeat. And I don’t get what’s so fun about that.”
“Hah… but you taught him the techniques, didn’t you?”
“He was really persistent; I just went along with it.”
In the midst of the freezing rain, the trainees continued to spar on the field.
“… I told you that’s not how you use your strength.” Dumbfounded, the words slipped from Annie’s mouth as she watched Eren spectacularly thrown to the ground by Mikasa.
“Ohh, worried about your disciple?”
“… Not really; just a little irritated.”
“I can’t hear that irritation in your voice.”
The girl’s intimidating silence had no effect on Ymir either.
“Look. He’s going at it again. He never gives up, huh.”
“I don’t need any live commentary.” Annie turned away; Ymir looked at her, a smile forming at the tips of her mouth.
“You… suck at acting cold.”
“I can see it,” Ymir grinned. “Not just Eren. You watch over both the slackers and the serious ones kindly as well, don’t you?”
“What was… that? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“It doesn’t matter.” Locking her own secrets away into the depth of her heart, Ymir patted Annie on the shoulder and added, “The serious, uptight fellows… weaklings who couldn’t oppose the flow… no matter who they are, you regard them all as ’humans’, don’t you?”
“ ’Humans’…… huh.” Annie turned her gaze up to the sky, pondering, as the rain sprayed in from the outside.
“Oh crap. The instructor is coming around soon.”
“… I got it.”
Quietly, the girls left the storehouse and lost themselves in the crowd of trainees.
The soft rain showed no signs of letting up as it continued to rain on the trainees—strong and weak—equally.
Reiner's emotional manipulation reconfirms that Annie's only in it for her father and probably hates the mission itself. If he for example died, I could see her losing purpose and wavering or simply losing her shit completely.
They definitely don't enjoy it per se, but the "devil spawn" point of view implies they at least see some righteousness in it, which doesn't seem the case with Annie.
Okay I worded that pretty badly.
This BRA shit is getting old. They do something feel guilty. Do something feel guilty. Do something feel guilty. There's no promise of surprise. Whatever happens will depend on EMA forgiving BRA and we know they will. Just give us Zéke already.
I hope Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Erwin, Hanji, Levi Historia, MT, Reiner, Annie, Mikasa, Armin, JSC die from Bertattack.
I want this manga to be about Bert only. Imagine how interesting a Bertonly manga would be.
>tfw you will never dominate then violate Ymir's body by impregnating her with your man seed
don't worry jean, your time will come
>BR believe their cause is righteous
It will be quite funny if in the end we find out their cause is actually righteous and they has a good reason to do what they did, it will put EMA into distress and make some faggots here want to hang themselves.
Mikasa is an alright character and heavely misunderstood.
Remember when she hesitated to kill BR.
Remember when she decided to live on even after believing that Eren was dead.
Remember when she forgave Levi for torturing Eren.
How much she has suffered in silence. How strongly attached she is to the last bit of her family.
Only BRA are allowed to be interesting whether they are or not. They are inherently the most interesting characters. Don't question this. If BRA hold back on killing the innocent "enemy" it means brilliance complexity. If Mikasa holds back on killing actual genocidal terrorists who killed her stepmom that's shallowness.
>implying armin wouldn't be screaming erens name with her
In fact, what Mikasa did took a lot more courage and compassion than what BRA ever did- which is in fact nothing.
Mikasa took compassion with guys that threatened to take away Eren.
RBA are 'bad guys'. They aren't supposed to hesitate to kill people. MCs being emotional and hesitating is nothing new.
That's why hesitation in RBAs context is complexity, and in EMAs context is fucking nothing.
Mikasa doesn't know that even that doesn't kill BR. Your argument is invalid.
Enemies showing compassion is barely complex. Enemies are often known for having reasons behind their terrible deeds. Someone who's on the "good guys" side showing compassion for the enemy, however, is rare.
Your facts don't matter anon. BRA are inherently interesting.
How many works of fiction have you read? The "villians" showing emotion is everywhere in fiction. Read something outside of babbys first anime.
In shounen manga even if the villain is known for having a atragic past, the "good guys" never end up showing mercy or any kind of compassion. In most cases, villains end up defeated because that is righteous.
Compare that to the amount of manga with the enemy ending up defeated. Children's brains aren't so developed as for them to realize that even villains can be redeemed. That's why in shounen manga you always have the evil force being defeated no matter the motivations.
You're right, wall people are the pinacle of inocence and never dun nufin wrong. The Village is helplessly evol and psycotic and they attacked the walls because they couldn't bear peace and love.
You think EMA aren't murderers? The difference is BRA have an actual cause, while EMA doesn't even fully understand why they fight and it was heavily implied they effort will be in vain in the end.
The Reiss and the CMP were the only ones aware of what actually went on whithing the walls. There's no excuse, or any kind of morality behind the genocide of hundreds of thousands of innocents, and continuing those murders even after co-existing with them for 3 years.
I suppose Annie gets to get some.blame off her shoulder since she did realize that the ones they were hurting were innocents.
Marco overheard Reiner saying something about his titan and Bert saying that he kicked a hole in the wall. Reiner remembered the stuff he said in front of Marco in Trost. Marco either knew or would soon know that humans could become titans because of Eren. Their identities were busted once Marco just thought about it a little bit, and that's why he had to die.
Going by what BR think of humans as just devil's creations, it looks like BR are also driven by madness and vengeance. Sadly they're focusing that rage on innocents. And that is the main difference between EMA and BRA. No excuse for what BRA did.
Not him but BRA aren't from the walls. If they were raised to believe everyone in the walls were evil they wouldn't know any better. Later they show guilt for their actions because they know humanity isn't inherently evil, but they still think they're doing the righteous thing for their people. You need to understand they are from an entirely different world that holds different opinions and morals. You can't judge them the same way you would other characters until we know more about their agenda and their hometown.
They may not be beyond saving, but there's no way to redeem them from their sins. Thousands died because of their mission, and Annie herself personally killed a fuckload of people.
Even if she turns good, there's no chance she'll be welcomed back by her former comrades.
Which makes for an interesting event.
Cause she always pretended to be a loner, then she actually would be and having to cope with it.
Instead that she didn't want anything to do with them, it'll now be the others excluding her.
Humanity is already overpowered as it is, the last thing it needs is another shifter from BRA switching sides. They've already got their new weapons, Levi, Mikasa, the coordinate, a second shifter from the serum which will knock out another shifter on the other side, and possibly Ymir eventually. The scales are tipped so far in their favor that it's ridiculous.
>Most of SL fight for their own personal freedom.
Regardless of what every indidvidual fight for they are protecting the walls as much as they can. We don't know why BRA are fighting for or if it's justified or not.
You really think the people of those countries forgave the foreign soldiers who butchered their loved ones? There's a fuckload of people in each who still hate the US for crimes committed by its troops while there, even people who hold no grudges over the wars and lost nobody to it still fucking hate anyone who partook in war crimes.
There's no hope in hell Eren or the majority of the others will forgive BRA for their deeds.
This chapter is so promising.
>Reiner and Bert seize Marco
>Annie arrives later
>Marco is filled with hope thinking she came to save him
>Reiner tells her the story about Marco discovering their identities and his plan to let him die
>Annie tells Reiner he is a fucking douchebag
>Annie becomes confused between her mission (RB) and saving Marco
>Reiner is trown aside by Marco, which begs Annie to just take his 3DMG already before he flees
>Reiner yells at Annie for risking his life for Connie, a devil spawn human
>Reiner says Annie is developing a sympathy for humanity and tells her she is pathetic, because her father is waiting her at home. He asks for proof as to why humans are so good as she thinks
>Even though Annie is still confused, she finally takes Marco's 3DMG off
>Reiner praises her
>Annie looks terrified and asks Reiner how could he do it
>He tells her it's time from them to go
>All three watch as the titan approaches and kill Marco
Just look at her in the spoilers. She's devastated. Yet Bert makes no attempts to somehow calm her down or be with her at this time despite he's supposed to like her. Instead, he just goes along with Reiner and watches a hurt Annie do this to a friend. He's showing zero interest towards how she is feeling here. That's not how you treat a girl you like.
>she knows Marco, those others were just redshirts
>though she has a complicated relationship with MMA she loves using it too
>at this point she had committed herself to the mission whether she believes it or not
>better to find enjoyment in it than wallow in her guilt
>Reiner yells at Annie for risking his life for Connie, a devil spawn human
>Reiner says Annie is developing a sympathy for humanity and tells her she is pathetic.
According to Ymir, Reiner and Bert are just small fry whose fate won't change anything about the walls being fucked in the future. Only Eren showing the coordinate made her think there might be some hope.
As a reference point, consider MT. He can spank Reiner with no visible injuries, has an ability which can turn an entire village of humans in their houses into titans, and has limited control over said titans. He's also expendable enough for BRA's village to send him out to camp the wall as long as it takes for the SL to show up.
Reiner could have been less abrasive about it but he was right and he was doing it for her own good. She needed to get her head in the right place. Her sympathy as dangerous and in the end it nearly got them all captured or killed.
Because she lost her chance to go home right then and there. It's not a mystery, just as her reason for saving Connie and sparing Armin weren't mysteries before this chapter. That art Isayama drew a while back that depicted the scene where Eren was running towards her as RT and gave her inner thoughts showed the obvious fact that her thoughts were on finally getting to go home once that fight was done.
If MT had trouble ordering a titan right next to him to not eat Mike, there's no way he could trust one to go out as a scout with Bert on its back. A pack mule shifter also fit right in with how the others seem to be designed for certain roles. Coordinate is a commander, Colossal is a wall and siege engine, Armored is a tank, typical titans are cannon fodder, etc.
>We got to the point that someone says Reiner's split personality is annoying.
Bert wasn't bad unless you were in denial and thought he was a sociopath. He cared about both Reiner and Annie enough to put the mission in danger and he even cared for humans
When did it turned so sensitive? If it was that time there would be 30+ pics of Marco getting ahegao'ed by BRA and bullying the ones being butthurt about it.
When did everything go so wrong? It started to feel like a hugbox.
Why? He kept his distance from humanity better than Reiner and didn't develop too much sympathy like Annie but he still didn't enjoy what they all did.
I don't see why people are making distinctions between the three of them anyway. They all knew they were harming people and still went through with all of it, saying so and so cried more than so and so doesn't change that. None of them is a better person than the other two.
Yes but it was a safe assumption to make with the bits of dialog that he heard. You can see him piecing it together moments later in the panel where Reiner grabbed him then I think he might be figuring out the rest here while they're taking his gear
This entire thing makes me wonder about Annie's lame jokes about her being "frail" and "weak". Maybe that's just how she feels on the inside and she wants other people to see that too, somehow.
So can we all celebrate Reiner death then since he's the biggest bitch in the series.
>gets Marco killed
>destroys the walls with Bert
>begs for his life right before they kill him thinking they care about him.
This, Annie is a pure angel that transcends the limits of human purity. She is too good for Bert, she is too good for the SL, she is too good for God Himself. She is innocent beyond the limits of innocence because she cried when Marco died. i dont care if the others cried too annie is the only innocent btw mate br are evil incarnate k??
If you still need an example of how bad misogyny in this cesspool of a fandom is, my friends, I shall direct you no farther than the reaction a certain Annie Leonhardt is getting for her role in Marco’s death.
First of all - Marco has been dead for fucking forever, and most people have known this since it happened. Along with that, it was strongly implied Annie was the one who killed him. This happened years ago, and it should come as no surprise to anyone who believed Marco to be dead that Annie was involved.
However, this doesn’t stop at Annie. Reiner and Bertholdt was just as involved in his death as she was, which may come as a surprise to most people (me being one of them). Apart from a few people reblogging that cap of Reiner with half a head saying “he deserved it”, I’ve seen no hate directed toward Reiner or Bertholdt specifically.
Just the woman of the group.
People saying things about how they hate her, how what she did was awful, about how inexcusable it was, about OMG HOW COULD SHE DO THAT TO HIM??
And, yes, these are all very legitimate and credible criticisms to be throwing at her in light of how brutal Marco’s death was. However, why the fuck aren’t you people asking Reiner and Bertholdt the same questions? Reiner fucking pile-drived Marco out of the sky and forcibly held him down while he was crying and kicking and screaming and begging. Neither Reiner or Bertholdt showed strong emotions through the entire thing, except remorse at the very end. Annie (you know, the crystal ice queen of all that is cold and stoic, who shows less emotions than Mikasa) was fucking sobbing though the entire sequence.
So can we all stop acting like Annie was the horrid heartless bitch in this situation when they were all equally involved and they all deserve equal amounts of hate and criticism? What happen was terrible, and all three of them are terrible people for what they did, but Annie isn’t inherently worse just because you want to feel sorry for your precious fucking manchilds innocent cinnamon baes.
What are you talking about? Bert and Reiner get plenty of hate and shit (rightfully) for what they've done. There's no reason Annie should be immune from it. She's just as guilty as they are.
This is about right. We can assume Bert, Reiner and Marcel are the designated warriors of this mission and Annie was a replacement because of Marcel's death. Annie could be less prepared mentally for this job while BR were more brainwashed.
BR are shit. Why did Reiner not kill Marco himself? Why did Bert react like that? They are supposed to be tragic characters but the only one I feel sad for is Annie, the two others are shit.
They're small fries in that they have no influence over the decisions of the village. If they die then the power structure remains the same and the village will still continue on with its course. I'm pretty sure either last chapter or the chapter before last, Reiner called MT their general or something like that so he's at the top of the totem pole and is there because he's capable, not because he's expendable. Another thing in Reiner's thoughts was that they would not be able to defeat Eren if he learned how to use the full power of the coordinate. So Eren alone can be enough to defeat them when he masters that, which he mostly likely will do eventually. Ymir instantly changing her mind about the fate of the walls upon learning about Eren backs that up.
Anniefags are the worst. Not only they whine when their favorite righteously gets hate, they also tend to pretend she's any better than BR when all three are the same and constantly shit on BR claiming Annie is the one being hated.
The worst is that these threads are dominated by retarded Anniefags and the moment a character doesn't treat her like an angel he is immediately described as shit. Mikasa has a rivalry with her? Shit. Reiner states the obvious and tells her to man up? Shit. Bert doesn't bring flowers to her bed every morning? Shit. Eren feels betrayed from her actions? Shit. Armin rightfully uncovers her? Armin exists? Shit.
Wake up sheeple.
Annie looks completely torn up and sickened by her actions every time. BR are hypocrites and whine for pity but also carry out the coldest actions. Reiner was especially a dick in this chapter for how he approached Annie about that idiot Marco. He was fujobait and boring but it was Reiner who knocked him down ruthlessly and harassed Annie into taking his gear.
Then he has the audacity to call her pathetic when he's the shit with the forced multiple personalities.
No, I'm talking about the world as a whole, we don't put the blame on pilots for collateral damages they caused and mistreatment toward war prisoners for doing their mission is against Geneva Convention. The same logic applies for BRA, they bear no blame.
>Having this level of brain damage
Because BRA are retards, BR especially. Instead of dealing with the problem they created themselves, they chose to increase the chances for things to go even more wrong by making Annie help when they already knew that she was sympathetic toward humans.
I'm not talking about people on each side, I'm talking in a general point of view, obviously each side hates the other since it's war, but from a third person point of view, neither side's soldiers are objectively right or wrong.
Annie was the one who brought it down. In her sympathy, she spared Armin. He figured out the identity of the Female Titan and through that, they got CT and AT as well. That's what Reiner tried to prevent in this chapter. Reiner's instability actually saved them from total destruction. His outburst on the walls prevented the legion from being able to lead him and Bert underground to be captured. Without him telling Eren everything right there they'd be done.
>Annie was involved too
First off calling me a anniefag because I forgot to add her. Go Fuck off somewhere. No one cares about, she isn't even important anymore. And did Annie even help? Yeah she's with the group but Bert was the one who kicked a hole in the wall first and Reiner attacked after words.
They have only shown two titans and mention only two titans attacking the first time so don't throw in some BS input.
Annie called the titans over to invade the walls the same way she led them to the expedition. Annie would still be home with her father if she didn't have a role in all of it.
