The Dagashi Kashi manga has great characters but it gets quite repetitive, though the anime does look surprisingly great.

Not sure about the Dimension W manga, but it seems like some good old mindless fun with hopefully some well animated action scenes and an amazing soundtrack. It looks like it's going to be the Kekkai Sensen of this season really, so if Boku Dake does end up being a rushed mess, then this is the only other contender I guess.

But people need to understand this is a 24 minute anime. They need to draw people in with the premise immediately and there is so much you can cram on a 24 minute runtime.
They sped through the rerun segments too, taking less tries for MC to "fix" what was going on and they also skipped MC forcing a rerun to stop his mother's murder only to be taken five minutes earlier after it happened; really the anime didn't do justice to just how desperate MC got at the sight of the murder.

So what? First of all there are tons of original anime, second of all usually people obcess about details and the differences are trivial, sometimes being actual improvements. On the off chance that the adaptations are very different plot-wise, like Nausicaa or Akira well boo-hoo. Spectacular colored animation shits all over monochrome still frames.

The only cases when manga does have sense is when it has a very detailed art style which would make the transfer to animation a significant loss. Stuff like manga by Nihei, Inio or Igarashi. Other then that sometimes the frame composition can't be translated to cinema too easily but manga artists never do anything inventive with it unlike in the west (Kabuki by David Mack for example).

I expect the following episodes to have just that though, 2 or 3 chapters per episode. It makes sense that the first episode covers that much ground, because the manga takes its sweet time to get to 1988. The anime isn't only for the people that read the manga, so some sort of hook is required for people to keep watching. The death of his mother and the timejump work perfectly for that, as you can see from the reactions in the threads. People seem to be excited, which is a good thing.

It's just unrealistic to expect that they will keep this pace of 5-6 chapters per episode, because they would run out of material by episode 6.
