>no OP thread
I thought today was release day, where my seascum at?
Let's discuss why 2016 is the year of sanji.
Scratch that will there be asura in 2016?
Nope, zoro is like a pokemon that forgets old moves in order to learn new ones.
So what was the consensus on what Asura is? I mean I know Oda will explain it at some point, he's no Kubo and actually plans this shit, but it has literally been 10 years since its debut and we still know nothing about it.
Oh that's just zoro conquering his inner demons from the time his waifu broke her neck falling down.
Luffy: Sleeps whenever he becomes sleepy and wakes up when his eyes open (Around 5 hours)
Zoro: 4:00am - 7:00am (+ naps)
Nami: 11:00pm - 7:00am
Usopp: 1:00am - 8:00am
Sanji: 0:00am - 5:00am
Chopper: 9:00pm - 7:00am (+ afternoon nap)
Robin: 11:00pm - 6:00am
Franky: 1:00am - 9:00am
Brook: 0:00am - 5:00am
I'm nami on a busy day, franky on a free day
we've been gettin chapters on thursday just like before mangapandagate lately, only a few hours later.
we only get wednesday chapters if wsj has a saturday release or was on a break, like this week.
Assuming that it's the curse that awoke Asura, will we ever see it before getting Nidai? Will it change forms?
Do other cursed swords do the same thing? Do the kitetsu's have the strongest curse?
Asura has so many damn questi8ns behind ot, it's crazy.
Against the PH sragon. Ul-tora Gari.
And Zoro always used moves that he never used afterwards. Against Mr.1 and Kaku are the greatest examples. A lot of them seem situation, so it makes sense.
never mind all that Zoro pointless zoro bs lets talk about Chopper instead. When the fuck will he get his number chapter? will he even get one? I mean we are on an island full of talking animals, he is already a respected doctor of theirs they look up to and also we have Law who seems to be at least as capable as a doctor as he is. Will Chopper leave the crew, at least for a certain amount of time? If there was ever a fitting moment it would be now.
I see you still decided to post even though you are a oblivious retard. Good job
>I mean I know Oda will explain it at some point, he's no Kubo and actually plans this shit
>I never read Bleach
>I just read threads and think Kubo aspulls stuff
>I don't know if you go hundreds of chapters back you can easily find foreshadowings
This had been proven again and again with symbolisms or simply because fucking Kubo draws Ichigo's bed with a quincy symbol, yet faggots like you love to meme.
good job talking about the final war jackass as the name suggests it will probably be pretty much the last thing happening in One Piece. Chopper could leave before and come back way before that.
please fuck yourself, thank you
not even this guy but stop defending Bleach in a One Piece thread because this will get nowhere. 90% of the people here don't really think that highly of Bleach
>Most popular theory is it's form of haki, that or it's related to his cursed sword.
Is that really the more popular theory? Because it doesn't really fall under any of the haki categories. The cursed sword theory makes much more sense.
It also could be one of those things that doesn't have to be all that logical like diable jambe. They're just new powers the SHs develop as they grow stronger. I wouldn't be surprised if Oda never explained it in the manga or in SBS.
Diable Jambe is made from friction. Since Sanji learned Geppou, he probbly creates DJ by kicking something super fast or whatever kinda like Soru. Asura is just massive "What even is that". And the Haki theory is just because people think there are going to be forms of Armaments or Observation that we, the readers, don't know about.
A curious detail is that Zoro's weird tendril CoA was only shown on Sandai Kitetsu. Looked like the sword was rejecting it or whatever, kinda like Spiderman 3.
I'd bet that current-Zoro is at the base strength of Asura form now, and he may have a new form(s) to show.
I'm kind of curious to see more "secret techniques" as I believe we've only seen them during the Mihawk fight and the Pica fight, and it was a variation of the same thing.
He used one against Surume, the Kraken.
And I think we might get new forms when Zoro upgrades his Kitetsu. Otherwise, it will probably be the old Asura, just insanely stronger.
Yea, Oda made it a point to show that off even though he showed normal Hardening when Zoro sliced Pica. Even though Zoro's favourite sword seems to be Shusui post-TS.
Why did I laugh
Even images too. Like a recent example being Jack with his one-billion-beri bounty. It's annoying seeing stuff like that on the fucking catalog. How hard is it to click one box that will spoiler an image?
Newfags are a nuisance.
Just found out about these "Black threads". Zoro says "Kokujo" for the Post-TS Tatsumki and apparently it translates to black thread, which is related to Hell/Purgatory in Buddhism
>black lines are drawn upon the body, which hell guards use as guides to cut the beings with fiery saws and sharp axes
Zoro's taking this whole "demon" thing really seriously, isn't he?
Also, Onigiri 2.0 is called Rengoku (purgatory) Onigiri.
I may be mistaken, but Rokudo no Tsuji was the only attack to share the Ougi title with Sanzen Sekai. I wonder if we'll get some explanation to why those 2 attacks are special.
Sanzen Sekai is no longer an Ougi. And it probably just means it's a new move he came up with himself and is proud of. It's obviously a strong move but I don't think it's the strongest.
>you will never be able to discuss One Piece without newfags constantly arguing with and giving attention to other newfags
>b-b-b-but its jump that is taking a break this time
>he thinks this excuses the myriad of breaks Oda took prior to this.
Sanzen Sekai? After the Timeskip?
That was just weird.
Oda literally took a break two weeks prior to the 3 week WSJ holiday break. Take his dick out of your moth for a second and at least aknowledge the objective truth that he's a lazy cunt.
I'm the one shitting on Oda for his break.
I dont think hes lazy, I simply think he's out of ideas and should end Op as soon as possible. OP hasnt been good in ages. oda is clearly out of inspiration.
I jokingly said that with how shit OP had become, that if gear 4th would be introduced, it would simply be a lazy combination of G2 speed and G3 power.
Turns out my joke became reality.
>Oda literally took a break two weeks prior to the 3 week WSJ holiday break.
And before that he had released 3 or 4 chapters in a row, why it's almost like
>Oda's breaks have been otherwise consistent since the time he nearly died from tonsilitis
but of course, nobody ever mentioned a thing like that.
someone here doesnt know about berserk or hunter x hunter
What OP as fuck paramecia (just a hunch) is oda gonna feed green bull?
>Buggy shows up
>puts in work
>quick and efficient manner
Nigga will get things done. All good.
welcome to /a/ , where you suck gook cock or get shat on by people who DO suck cock if you complain about their shitty stuff
that movie was shit, the ending song was the only good part.
He didn't even say Santoryu, and he already called it Santoryu: Ougi when he was flying. Unless you want to argue over Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai not being just a larger scale Sanzen Sekai like almost every other timeskip attack.
Because dumb shits like you keep falling for it.
>at least aknowledge the objective truth
Just type "face it" like any other shitposter, I don't want to add more filters.
Kek, fished quite a few this time.
>Implying the release day threads are any better
What? Okay, let's try this.
Pre-TS Ougi = Sanzen Sekai
Post-TS Ougi = Crossing of the 6 paths, Ichidia Sanzen Daisen sekai
Post-TS Sanzen Sekai = Normal attack. No longer anything special.
This is my take on it.
Me pretending that i was pretending i didn't know you were pretending that the first post was bait the real bait, was the real bait you fucking idiot, good job falling for it.
Alright, fuck it, this is now a Monet thread. Post Monet, worship Monet, bitch about Monet, all things Monet starting now.
Will Nidai Kitetsu break Sandai? Will Zoro's CoA lose against someone? It has to happen in Wano and if it does, the Swordsman must be one of the top 2 Swordsmen on the Island. Will Zoro get a fight before that? Will we go to Big Mom's crew next? Will Jack/Drake be saved for after Wano?
>Will Nidai Kitetsu break Sandai?
No, Zoro will uncover Nidai in the Wano Crypts after going on a quest to return Shusui to Ryuma's desecrated tomb after learning Zoro has it. After fighting the cursed armament of Kitetsu, their duel is left to a stalemate and Zoro is given Nidai with a promise to find him in the Underworld for a chance to wield Shodai.
>Will we go to Big Mom's crew next?
No, she'll show up at the same time Kaidou does when they get to Wano and have to fight them both off on the island.
>Will Jack/Drake be saved for after Wano?
Jack will be before Wano, as a ship-to-ship battle. X Drake will be part of the Wano Crusade on Kaidou's side and face off against Capone.
I was thinking you were implying there was a 3rd Sanzen Sekai, my b. But I don't think Zoro would care enough to demote an attack, especially one that he uses as sparingly as Sanzen Sekai.
Wait, wait, wait. Zoro is gonna have a dream sequence? He's gonna fight Kitetsu's embodiment in the crypts? Why the fuck would he give back Shusui, it's his. He's a damn pirate. He doesn't give two shits about stuff like that. And Shusui is like his favourite sword Post-TS. How would he even get to the crypts, he has a higher chance of getting to a Sky Island on his own.
>a ship-to-ship battle
You fucking wish.
>Drake vs Capone
Ew. That would be an incredible waste.
He uses a lot of attacks sparingly. He didn't even use Sanzen Sekai on the Pacafistas or Kuma. He used Asura instead. And it's not exactly a demotion, since the attack is still insanely strong. It's just that he has an upgraded version now.
It's like you have X and Better X. Better X is going to be the attack you'd say is special.
> >a ship-to-ship battle
>You fucking wish.
I do wish, but it's not to be ruled out. Big mam's ship is a repeated point of interest since Dressrosa, and it has a grand design to it.
If anyone in 2006 said we'd see a full-scale war in One Piece they'd be called crazy too.
I'm just saying to not have too much hope. A battle between Sanji and Pekomz can happen on a ship but something major like Jack would be ridiculous. Especially considering his destructiveness.
I cared quite a bit about Chopper until the time skip when his points went to shit and he wasn't allowed to do anything, culminating to his exile with the rest of the rejects while the already developed characters fucked around on Dressrosa for two years.
>Why the fuck would he give back Shusui, it's his
Because Wano was fucking pissed the Ryuma graverobbery happened, and Zoro bringing the sword to Wano either involves him pissing off everyone, since Kinemon's already been like 'dude wtf that sword is... oh whatever we'll deal with this later' so a whole country will be able to persuade him to put it back. Then
Connection to the afterlife, or the approximate version, since Davy Jones is a thing too. So he returns the sword, wins Nidai to replace it, and in the arc they go to get back the Thousand Sunny from Davy Jones, (destroyed in the Revolutionary War and so , he stops by Kitetsu's armory, and gets Shodai in exchange for Nidai and Sandai, as well as a third new blade from Kitetsu, forged after his death in Hell.
>You fucking wish.
It's happened before. Remember Baratie and Krieg's warship? Now imagine that on a much more equipped scale.
>Ew. That would be an incredible waste.
Well they're going to be taking over Yonkou duties when this is done, so it's more a symbolic fight.
I see now. Although I'd still argue Better X is simply a higher scale version of X, but whatever.
Fuck no, it's his damn sword. Why would he give two shits about what some random country wants. He'd probably challenge them all.
>If anyone of you can beat me, you can take MY sword
Cue him meeting Nidai wielder, him breaking Sandai but still winning, cause he's fucking Zoro, taking Nidai from the guy, everyone approving his strength and saying Ryuuma would be proud.
And Shodai is most likely in the possession of the Gandhi Gorosei,
Anon, a higher scale version = Better.
Compare Zoro cutting Pica vs Zoro cutting Pica's statue. It's like Zoro cutting Kuma compared to Zoro cutting Hody. Weird example but the idea is the same. One looks really tame compared to the other.
>Why would he give two shits about what some random country wants
It's not 'some random country'. It's Wano. The sum of all the past 200 chapters of shit going down, the place his dojo draws training from, the country the Strawhats need to stay on the good side of if they want help in the upcoming battles with two Yonkous. Zoro may not want to give it up, but when the alternative is fight all of Wano, he's going to at least show some appeasement for the greater mission. He's smart enough to show restraint when it means being able to work his crew's issues.
Nope. Can't see it. Can't see it in any way shape or form. Zoro won that sword fair and square. He loves fighting, that's why he's interested in Wano. It's the perfect chance for him. Besides, the Strawhats are gonna help with Kaido, which the Wano people would love. NOT to mention we have no idea what will actually happen Wano, thus making the people love him anyway. As Ryuuma said, the Sword is content with Zoro as it's master. Sandai is the weakest sword Zoro has. It's high time he got rid of it.
it is a very good one piece podcast. fun guys talk about the recent manga chapeters/anime episodes. new volumes sbs. The very early episdoes are bad. you can jump on from the most recent episode and listen to previous ones if you like.
Anyone have the colored portrait of the curly hat pirates?
Nah, not really.
But they're the arcs I've reread most along with Arlong Park, when I first started reading One Piece (along with the official US Viz releases) the manga was around there, and I was obsessed.
Also, Zoro vs the Bounty Hunters during the Whiskey Peak arc is a one of a kind One Piece fight
>yfw awakened mr.3 makes dai candle champion
No, it'd be fucking miserable. Everything turned into a shitty white marble that's not even glossy or fancy? No, anon, what I want to see is Mr. 3 using all sorts of weapons and shit in a battle like a walking 3D printer.
>"As if I'd fight a man with one arm"
Are you fucking retarded, in what way does that not imply shanks is weaker now? Do you have reading comprehension?
And it most certainly does not imply he is just as strong as he was before he lost his arm, you autistic moron.
Not I don't think it made Shanks weaker at the time.
It might simply be a sporting thing.
Shanks may have been stronger overall to begin with but was matched with Mihawk in swordplay.
Their rivalry may not have been one of strength of overall combat but of pure swordsmanship.
What's the appeal of OP?
I mean it's literally made for children, even the creator doesn't deny it
Can we just start a kickstarter so that Oda can give us a chapter a week without breaks? This is ridiculous something needs to be done about his health. This isn't a holiday week and we should be getting a chapter tonight
Why are you even on /a/? You can't really shame OP fans it's the biggest selling manga in the world and has gone on over 15 years. People have grown up with it and it has been accepted in mainstream culture as normal to read and watch. The whole world is enjoying One Piece at this point you just have shit taste.
>is no /a/
>thinks he is not a manchild
No it's not good at all don't let the shill fool you. It's the most cringeworthy shit I have ever listened to and I would rather stab my ears with rusty forks than listen to those fags and their terrible "jokes" ever again.
>adults can't enjoy works that are targeted at a younger demographic
>n-no I only read and watch mature animu & manga for mature people like me
>But they're the arcs I've reread most along with Arlong Park, when I first started reading One Piece (along with the official US Viz releases) the manga was around there, and I was obsessed.
Same here. I started during Baratie in the US Shonen Jump and started to grow out of it during Alabasta, then speedread to where JP was a couple years later
>Did anybody watch the Special episode with the foxy pirates?
No, you were the only one of course
>Expect to see that black hardened bullshit in every fight from here on out
No armament haki in the fight Franky vs Senor Pink
No armament haki in the fight Cavendish vs Dellinger
No armament haki in the fight Kyros vs Diamante
Now go and eat a nice juicy cock, faggot
Post the pages, I posted the mihawk interaction, the only thing anyone else has done is say that somehow mihawk no longer feeling its worth fighting shanks means that shanks is just as strong as he has always been, and then also saying they vaguely recall something something haki shanks stonk.
>uses literally as a buzzword
who else is every fucking strawhat? I'm literally like everyone of them in some way.
>forgetting the ussop/nami tagteam at the end
The entire fight was great, not just the franky shogun parts(though tiny ass franky shield, put up after the attack, killed my sides).
Nami's tits are really great but Robin's I wish they were still tan.
You possess the reading comprehension level of a 7th grader, don't you?
The only implication made here is that Mihawk would not fight someone with one arm for the sole reason that he believes it is not honorable. It has nothing to do with strength.
Even if it was confirmed Shanks was stronger, Mihawk still wouldn't fight him with only one arm.
But whatever, keep grasping at straws.
>it is honorable to refuse a fight from someone stronger then you just because they have one arm
You are fucking retarded. That is, quite literally, the opposite of honor.
Yeah, it's blatantly obvious you're wrong.
If Mihawk actually fought Shanks and won, he'd be a laughing stock and no one would respect him for challenging and beating a one armed man
If Mihawk actually fought Shanks and lost, he'd be a laughing stock and no one would respect him for losing to a one armed man.
It has nothing to do with strength. Mihawk has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
>shanks, one of the four emperors
>has not been dethroned and has ruled for over a decade
>mihawk would be a laughing stock if he defeated him
Are you fucking kidding me here?
>shonen trope complaint
God dammit, you got me. I did not think I was being trolled because I have seen some nonsense shanks love in the past, but I clearly was. I am really dumb, well played.
He obviously would be. Mihawk's not going to risk losing all his pride as a swordsman.
Everyone knows they used to duel each other and as far as we know it's always been a draw. But suddenly, now Shanks manages to beat him with only one arm. Tell me how that looks.
>Shusui, Zoro's most recent, best and favourite sword who he carries in honour of a previous WGS and was granted to him, with the sword's will desiring to be carried by Zoro
>Give it away
Nah man, wont happen. The only thing will be him replacing Sandai with Nidai (whether through breaking it or finding it) and that'll be the end.
Never could get into the show or manga. Between its putrid art style and the fact that I will forever associate it with that 4kids rap, I just can't suffer it for more than a few seconds.
>posts page where luffy greatly insulted fuji's honor to prove a point about honor
>does not post the next page where fuji laughs in luffys face, then used fierce tiger, and called luffy stupid
That was a scene showing that luffy was WRONG about honor bro.
Oh right, forgot to say why I disagree, muh bad.
Mihawk had no problem insulting anyones honor in the EB arc, he insulted the shit out of zoro by using the weakest blade he had, and gave no fucks about it. He followed a starving and dying krieg pirates just to dick with them some more, the opposite of honor.
I have never considered mihawk to be honorable, as far as I know, we have never seen anything to support that.
And Sugar is 22.
30 is not too bad though; Robin is 30 and Hancock is 31.
i already did that the other day
Actually, I thought about doing it and realized i had no idea how to even do that request without it looking like Nami had caught yet another crazy disease. You're on your own, for that one, buddy.
will this come back into play?
Luffy said this in regards to dealing with Caesar, meaning he has CoA
>Anon actually makes a good post
>ignoned for 15 hours
I'm here patiently waiting for Nidai and Shodai to show up. I'm pretty sure they are Zoro's endgame, and I'm hoping we'll atleast see Nidai in Wano.
That said, I'm sure the sword is not the only thing important to Asura. If there is a change/upgrade it will be atributted to Zoro getting stronger mostly.
I don't see Shodai ever being attained by Zoro. He's got to have a perfect trifecta balance in the end and he's one step from that as of now. Also Ghandi has the Shodai most likely.
But it'll now have a double meaning. New World people are going to assume somone with "Black ..." means they use that part of their body with advanced CoA to fight with (similar to Black Arm Zephyr).
Cycling between Zoro and Nami
Looking at this gif made me realise how ridiculously high Chopper's ears and antlers were when he wore his old hat.
Yes, but Oda draws his ears closer to his eyes now, which looks better.
>mfw dressrosa was just a shitty remake of alabasta
>mfw zou looks like it's going to be another skypeia
>mfw next arc will probably be another water 7/enies lobby with robin replaced by sanji
i could be crazy but tell me i'm not the only who is seeing this?
I was super disappointed with the new filler.
>The Big Three are incapacitated
>Oh, so it'll be up to the weaker members+Foxy to sort this shit out, sounds fu-
>Luffy is immediately revived
What is a skypian bird doing on his armor?
Sanji and Zoro eats shrooms like a pair of retards, Robin and Luffy get weakened by fog. Chopper and Brook piss off to deal with some giant mushroom snake (probably because they realised those two would be useless if the fog got them) Usopp is Usopp, Franky is electrocuted, while Nami is actually useful for once.
Stuff happens, Luffy fights the boss like always.
The only similarity Zou shares with Skypiea is that its an ancient and secluded island.
Sanji wont really be getting rescued, more likely a regrouping.
Dressrosa and Alabasta showed parallels in which even Oda exemplified, but there were massive differences in the two.
"Enough of this; let's just get to Fishman Island!"
Aren't the children One Piece was aimed at when it was first published adults by now?
Yes, almost half the viewers of One Piece are over the age of 30 years old. There are also more female fans of the series (52%).
The problem with these are that girls in general are more enthusiastic to participate in these surveys. Oda even said in an interview that "Boys just aren’t the type to pick up a pen*. (laughs) They don’t have things like stationary or stamps and they don’t think about going through the ‘grueling task’ of writing someone just to say, “That was cool.” Boys are a life form that enjoy something but won’t bother to tell you that they actually do."
And the same goes for volume sales too, it's skewed because many older people buy One Piece for their children and because kids treat manga like shared property in school, passing it around to their friends.
One Piece does have wide demographic reach in Japan, but young boys are hard to place in graphs because many don't bother expressing it in polls or surveys.
So far there are (canon fruits):
How many more will we end up seeing? I can barely see more than 4 logia types left to use now.
Jinbei will bring the one he found to Zou.
Maybe he took their Vivre card? He's after Big Mom and Big Mom was after half the SHs. He's probably going to connect with the crew again to join and head to take on Big Mom when the Strawhats do. Now is about a perfect time for him to join.
Also, the day he continued setting off for Big Mom with Wadatsumi at the end of his cover story is the next day in the current time of the Strawhats (take note of the moons).
Yeah I was kind of thinking along those lines, as in the one Jinbei's got is the actual Zou one.
Sounds good to me. They can't face a yonkou yet without Jinbei on the crew.
>Blackbeard's (Actually not sure if it's a Logia or not).
Blackbeard has the quake one which is a paramecia, and his darkness one is a logia.
>implying Zou won't come to Jinbei
I can see Chopper asking Zunesha to bring them to Whole Cake Island. Then the Minks could also repay their debt to the straw hats and fight Moms forces.
I don't really have good ideas for any more logia, I don't see how Oda's supposed to. He probably has one more in store to make a nice even dozen, mythical zoan are even rare so I doubt we'll see more than 3 new ones.
I thought a natural sticky substance like slime or honey would be good logia material, but Oda felt otherwise for Trebol.
Also, why wouldn't the poneglyph Jinbei found just be from those ruins? It seemed like there was once an ancient civilization there once too. Seems too much of a coincidence to fall from one ancient civilization to another.
Yeah, I hope he doesn't get stupid with the logias now though. And I thought Trebol was a paramecia?
What if that ancient civilisation was part of the one on Zou, but fell off?
Ignoring the lack of real reason in the story for Chopper to stay with the minks, there's one big thing you must consider.
Why the fuck would they put the CUTE MASCOT CHARACTER on the bench. That's suicide, there'd be more outrage than Ace's death from the general public.
Moria was that fat kid who never ate in front of anybody.
Moriah only got fat after he was beaten by Kaido. As a kid and even to the Prime Moriah point where he fought equally with Kaido, he was fit as fuck.
He's just super bitter in that scene still over his loss to Luffy and his plans crumbling down. Plus he's sitting beside the guy who nuked him and his island ship too.
The NHK One Piece demographic statistics does not come from surveys. They got those numbers off of recording who bought the magazines in stores. They had the clerks working record the ages of the people who bought OP.
>it's skewed because many older people buy One Piece for their children and because kids treat manga like shared property in school, passing it around to their friends.
Not saying this doesn't happen, but Japan tends to be more independent from a young than in the western world. It's more common for kids to buy their own manga.
>Not liking Moriah
I guess you skimmed his character that fast.
Jinbei is already connected with Big Mom. And the things he needs to take care of probably have to deal with her. There's already a reasonable connection with Jinbei coming back in the Big Mom arc without having to add in an extra convoluted step, especially since it would be weird for Jinbei to know how to get to Zou in the first place or why he would know the Strawhats are there.
>not a lot of stuff happens
>most stuff ever happens
You cunts are insufferable.
Full moon only happens once per month. SHs have only been in the NW for around 2 weeks. Jinbei's coverstory which occurred during Dressrosa actually took place 10 days into the future from the current time. Otherwise it'd seem like he set off a day or two after Luffy which would be stupid.
Two poneglyphs in a row seems a bit too much for me personally. It'd also shed some light on the ancient ruins at the bottom of the sea, instead of it just being left untouched for good.
Yeah he will. Zoro's bounty may never top that. Jinbei's is based on many more things than Zoro's is. They don't indicate powerlevels completely either, but Jinbei is indeed more of a threat to the WG than Zoro is. Luffy's bounty has topped Jinbei's now and that's the main thing.
>Zoro's bounty may never top that
Hah. When the Marines realise he solo'd Wano and got a new sword, they'd be shitting themselves.
>Two poneglyphs in a row seems a bit too much for me personally.
Oda seems to be writing towards the end now. We won't get as much down time and I feel like every arc will have major developments, especially regarding end game stuff, including the poneglyphs and uncovering the mysteries of the void century and Ds. Seeing how little we know about it still, I wouldn't be surprised if he introduces a lot more now in succession. I actually think there's gonna be one is Wano too considering that's a closed off island as well.
not for people who kept up with it on a weekly basis. you think I'm gonna sit and wait a year for his new arc to finish then read it?
plus is there a new chapter this week or is it still holiday for japan.
I've read for years weekly. I'm used to it and always reread arcs once they're finished, because that's how they're meant to be.
Imagine reading a 600 page novel but in the form of 10 pages per week. Of course it's not going to feel the same as reading the whole thing at once, so you shouldn't compare an arc read weekly to others read in a marathon.
what's your point? I didn't have a problem with the previous arcs, I loved impel down so much, that arc didn't drag at all, it was a step forward each chapter. Dressrosa, which I like just not as much as punk hazzard, did drag on, by adding a lot of flash backs and characters doing stuff that could have been done off panel or done in one panel.
but you opened that form of discussion when mentioning you could read in a day, my point is what you are saying actually is you can't compare because it felt reading weekly was dragging on and on.
>I loved impel down so much, that arc didn't drag at all
Interesting because Impel Down is where I had to take a break. Caught up and then had to take another break during Punk Hazard cause it was moving too slow for me. Caught up again rmaybe two weeks before Gear 4th, and have been reading weekly since with no complaints. Guess everyone just has differing opinions.
>my point is what you are saying actually is you can't compare because it felt reading weekly was dragging on and on.
Most arcs feel this way reading weekly. Dressrosa doesn't feel dragged when marathoned.
My point is people fucking complain about the pacing in every single arc. You complain about it in Dressrosa while others have complained about it in past arcs. Your opinion means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
really? I loved the pace of impel down because of being behind enemy lines and being neck up against enemies that were so much stronger than luffy, you saw how much all the prisoners had to rely on one another.
yeah its fine to take a break but I just love having something to catch up on once a week.
>flashbacks that give characters background and depth are bad and drag things out
>characters doing stuff that could have been done off panel or done in one panel.
I love random statements like this without any further explanation
neither does yours yet people will still complain, why bother freaking our about it then when like you said your opinion won't matter in the grand scheme of things when it comes to just people complaining. you are basically complaining about people complaining. your not going to change someone's opinion when you respond in an antagonistic manner.
You made a point in this post >>135830042 like Dressrosa was an exception when it's not. I don't give a fuck about you complaining, but my point is Dressrosa isn't an exception to the complaint about pacing.
I never said it was an exception, it was just the most current arc, and I just didn't enjoy the pace of this one arc, I didn't enjoy the pacing of skypia either or Fishman island, but none the less I simply wanted to state mt opinion and get feed back as to why maybe the pacing wasn't to my liking with other anons insight to the matter.
Nigga, Zoro is practically invincible right now. He can powerup with his swordskills not some random eye voodoo shit that has nothing to do with physical fighting abilities. That's not Zoro's thing.
like the fairy princess healing everyone, and everyone running from the bird cage that could have been done in one panel or 2 but it got a couple of pages of reactions on her healing powers then running. >>135830718
another could be luffy bringing Rebecca to her dad and then escaping dressrossa could have been done in one chapter.
but that's just what I would prefer since oda has done somethings like this in the past I just need to look for them.
Trust me Oda could write a whole 10 volumes of just different flashbacks and I would fucking love it. I don't know how people can think flashbacks are a waste of time when there's so many interesting characters and islands we can learn more about. I guess I'm personally just not that much in a rush to finish the series as other people are.
why not? both are very important to the story. in fact you can do that, where as a flash back can add info that isn't needed that much to where you get world building where it can be explained more.
Because a whole storyarc is always detailed from start to finish, the world building parts on the other hand always only give us a short glimpse of something happening somewhere in the world.
but world building is that detail that needs to be adressed and is, the problem I am having is story arcs can go so long as to detail things doesn't need to be detailed that much.
can some one explain how rubber imbued with Haki hurts more than regular Haki punches? Haki is supposed to feel like being his with steel right? so did luffy us Haki only after he stretched? and gear 4 allowed luffy to stretch with fully armed?
Remember the time Hajrudin's bones went JUST and was running around a few days later?
Flashbacks that I'm pretty sure will be shown in the series even if it's just Zoro backstory-tier levels short
>Nekomamushi and Inurashi's brotrip before becoming sworn enemies. Hopefully when they meet Shanks
>A Wano flashback (similar to FI and Skypiea flashbacks where it fleshes out the social conflict/history in that island)
>Moria and Kaido's rivalry when Moria comes back in present time to help beat Kaido
>Croco and what his deal is with the secret Iva knows
>Kuma - and what his deal is exactly with Vegapunk. Might be just told in dialogue but I hope Oda goes into it more with a flashback type explanation.
>Dragon - when he leaves Luffy. Or at least interaction between Dragon and Garp before Dragon becomes Revolutionary
>Bonney and her deal/history with the WG
>Roger & crew - when he leaves One Piece where he left it
>Extended flashback of what happened during the Void Century.
