IDK about y'all, but I dropped it about 7 episodes in while it was airing. I expected it to be similar to Cowboy Bebop in that it would have an story that connected all the episodes together and was disappointed. But then I restarted the series after it had aired and realized that not only is it meant to be episodic, but the emphasis was not on the story but on the visuals and the music. It's a comfy series, in my opinion.

Did we not watch the same anime? I tried watching the first episode and stopped as soon as I heard QT's auto tuned shit voice. How the fuck could you put up with that for 12 episodes? Also, Dandy's jap VA fits just as well, actually better, than his English VA.

I hated that episode at first and thought it was boring, but after rewatching it a few times I love it, even if I don't understand the full meaning behind it because I'm pretty dumb, it's still a beautiful and imaginative episode, I love the backgrounds and the scene where Dandy realizes that happines can't exist in a world without sadness.

This show was so fucking sick. Probably the best original show to come out of the decade so far, and it'll be tough to top. I'd love to see future projects like this, the amount of creativity and talent poured into it was nuts.

It was hard for me to appreciate the show at first because every episode is so different from the last. Now I know that's exactly what makes it good. The side characters, setting, story, directing are never repetitive. It's like one of those compilation movies, like Neo Tokyo, Robot Carnival, Memories etc. except 10 hours long.

I watched both and still think the sub is better. In general the side characters in the sub are better than the dub. Just check out that english queen bee video. She's supposed to resemble a damn singer (jpop in japanese case) like in high school musical or something similar, but the singing is so bad in the english version. Sounds like some nerd trying her best to sing.

QT sucks in english too. The auto tune was unnecessary.

Sinclar and Meow alone can't carry the side characters. I think most dub proponents generally only consider the main cast when talking about the dub strength, when side characters are almost as important.
