why does planetes only have vanilla doujins? tanabe is prime ntr material with hachimaki being away for so long..
Because Tanabe is too pure for anything else.
Perhaps more realistically, it's probably because the series was never super popular and 2003/4 was before ntr became the cool new fetish.
Also because Tanabe is too pure.
>There are people who've only watched the anime and not read the much superior manga
Without a doubt.
She is my waifu after all.
Couldn't they just have her pick on weightlifting ?
Then she'd get muscles and bones strong enough to walk on earth without any problem, like seriously she'd be able to walk and run on earth after a year of SS + GOMAD
No senpai, I think you're wrong. It's because Tanabe
is too pure.
Even with resistance training in zero-g, astronauts on ISS still lose bone density and muscle mass, it's questionable if adding 1/6th of a g to that would help with anything. Even if you could live on the moon with really heavy weighted clothing that made up for the low gravity, your heart would still not have to work nearly as hard to pump blood and would get weaker regardless.
It's legitimately one of my favorite shows ever, anime or live-action. Best setting, best girl, and themes that I personally found very relevant.
Should I buy the Omnibus? I've never read the manga.
WHERE HAS ALL THE GOOD TASTE GONE,
AND WHERE ARE ALL THE MODS?
WHERE'S THE OLDFAG WEEABOOS TO FIGHT TASTELESS ANONS?
ISN'T THERE A WHITE KNIGHT TO DEFEND THIS SHOW'S ESTEEM?
LATE AT NIGHT I TOSS,
AND I TURN,
AND I HATE THIS STUPID MEME!
I NEED YOU HIRO. I'M HOLDING OUT FOR YOU HIRO 'TIL THE END OF THE NIGHT.
>work at a job where pretty much everybody has a radio
>pretty much every communication ends or begins with copy
No, everybody else is middle-aged or older. I'm pretty much the youngest person working there, aside from another guy.
There were two girls around my age, but one transferred to a different department and the other quit. Neither was a moralfag.
Do people actually say this? I use radio to communicate while flying a plane, and we don't use most of the stereotypical radio jargon.
If we need to affirm we understand something we repeat it back.
Going from fuzzy nostalgia, I actually think the anime was superior.
Planetes. Compact, finished series.
Space Brothers isn't even finished (new chapter in ~12 hours though!), and the anime possibly drags on a bit.
It's been nearly 12 hours. This user is yet to be banned.
This was the last suspected moot sighting, in a thread I made after we streamed the Planetes marathon towards the end of the memorial streams. I hope we will see him again.
>I do recall there being another brown cutie in the series though
>You will never live in a time where picking up thrash in space is a minimum wage job.
>The only chance to get into space during your lifetime is being a fighter ace combined with a geological degree.
I actually unironically agree, I watched 15 episodes but it was just so horribly boring with shitty ass predictable drama that I couldn't bother to finish it.
Awful looking character designs and art
Boring story and premise. ("We gotta pick up space garbage" I mean really?)
bitch who might as well be a guy
Half the characters are fucking stupid
People who like this show are just huge hipsters who want to stand out.
I mean, space garbage collection can be done well (Magnetic Rose) it's just that Planetes used it as a frame for nothing more than a completely formulaic and melodramatic romance plot that might as well have been set on earth with real garbage men.
her character was fucking retarded, all the "muh ai" shit she spouted and the way she acted like a child would get her fired immediately in any job. It's like the character was written by some self righteous 13 year old.
I did, I don't get what getting to the end has got anything to do with her being retarded and "muh ai", not to mention any self respecting company would fire such an annoying person like her, also there were many pointless episodes, especially the one with the circus freaks
where's she's suffocating and thrashing around as the moon bus approaches
Magnetic Rose was not even about space garbage either, so your comparison to Planetes makes no sense. Each work is very different. The fact you're complaining about something being "formulaic" makes you sound like a total hipster though.
>tfw in flight school
>dream is to become an astronaut
Now all I need is for Tanabe to be real.
But you still need some scientifically important degree to be actually considered selectable.
Back in the days, you could shoot down commies and become the first man on the moon.
Today leftist mobs protest in front of your barracks.
I loved Space Bros but it's not really about sci fi, its more about a dude that has a midlife crisis and follows his dream. His dream just happens to be going to space.
The series drags too long sometimes, and it can be tiring to watch.
Planetes is a masterpiece.
>not really about sci fi,
>already done but not uninteresting setting in which the MC must learn to adapt while still bringing change
>suddenly fuck you the guy you knew the second they met they'd end up together is more important than anything else
>basically the whole second half is about his selfish asshole
>previous MC, now a supporting character, must deal with his bullshit and isn't of any use anymore besides that
>New MC goes in space while previous MC is in wheelchair just so fucking happy mr. edgy-but-I-wanna-go-in-space takes part into the crazy rich guy's mission
That was a good show, but there's something fishy about it deep down.
