You heard the man, let's destroy all of humanity /a/!
>that smile which masks pain and suffering
Who protects the hero, I wonder.
I like how steadily the artist evened out his face and his body ,he used to be a Liefeldian juggernaut.
Also, best boy.
>tfw you'll never be a roaming Hero wishing to unite all races in peace
>tfw you'll never bro it up with Demon kings and hit on sexy demon women with banging bodies
>tfw you'll never sacrifice everything to uphold a just world
What's shield bro? And it's just a solid story that begins light hearted with a pinch of seriousness but starts to ramp up as it goes on, not to mention it's just one dude scanlating it.
Everything so far is on batoto
Yeah that sucks but at least by soloing them he kept casualties on his side to a minimum.
I think Daiguard said it best, it's not about beating the monster, it's about saving lives.
I really like the artist's style. Also Vamario is super cute to boot.
Pretty much this manga's Xellos, even his goofier side can't bring down just how stupid powerful he is, and Vamirio is probably as strong if not stronger than him since she's not restricted by location.
>was already foreshadowing the Awakened plotline from Chapter 3
>Helck has to murder everything and everyone he ever loved to restore order
Tragic hero I name thee Helck.
And another piece of foreshadowing, Helck's sculpture is actually Azudora's first appearance in the manga, since he's the one who invited him to the tournament.
I suppose the timeline is currently like this
>Cress kills Demon King
>"Human" King gives power to the people aka Awakening
>it actually fucks everything up
>Helck kills his brother and flees
>Welcome to the current timeline
it says in the first chapter that 3 months passed after Cressed killed the demon king
Seeing the page before this where it reveals he killed his brother is fucking rough.
I was actually searching for it right now, here we go
the person who kills the demon king definitly is thinner than helck, so we can assume it is Cress
we don't know for sure and its only my conjecture that Helck killed him.
I haven't read the raws yet, but for some reason
I have the shittiest feeling they didn't kill Cress, but the "Human King" is using him as a catalyst to create Awakened Humans and then they blamed Helck, because he didn't want that to happen
>I haven't read the raws yet, but for some reason I have the shittiest feeling they didn't kill Cress, but the "Human King" is using him as a catalyst to create Awakened Humans and then they blamed Helck, because he didn't want that to happen
This, it's suspicious that the younger brother was sent to take on a demon King, hero or not, I'm willing to bet Helck was sent somewhere else on a ruse to deal with something and the King used that to his advantage since Cress might have been perceived to be the "weaker" of the two brothers, maybe even stealing his heroic ability while he was battered from the fight.
I really like that there's no real dragging out of the plot/backstory and that even if it's not the whole story Helck gives just enough to satisfy both Vamario and the reader
Helck official theme song
>wood magic and support magic
>not a jobber
>great taste in masks
As great as Azudora is, I also got to give a shout out to Hon also being made of sterner stuff.
I can't help but think that the human king is Jesus because of Drifters.
As a previous anon said, it's very reminiscent of King Baldwin the IV's mask from Kingdom of Heaven, good taste, hope the mangaka watched the Director's Cut.
It looks pretty close to it.
from the bonus chapters is like he's trying to make her happy since childhood, but i dont read runes so idk
Azudora climbing them ranks to be top tier bro
>hey babe, after this adventure I'm thinking it might be time to settle down
>Oh Helck, you and your jokes!
>Haha, you know me too well.
>I... really like...
>Always keep smiling...
>I'll also... try my best... so...
>Until the end... I'll try my best... that's why...
>Even if... one day... I... become your enemy.... and appear in front of you...
>Somehow... your smile....
>Please show them to me....
>Ok... I understand...
>I understand... Alicia...
I thought the only tragedy in his past was his brother, this is even worst. Where are these raw from?
Why you do this, this was supposed to be about a happy go lucky human hero becoming Demon King, that ain't right.
THAT AIN'T RIGHT
I really, really wanted to like this series, but I just can't. By the time I've gotten up to the remote island chapter, I was just so... disappointed. It was the 'demons are noble and humans are evil/fanatic' cliche turned up with a huge heaping of messiah complex from Helck. Does it get better or is it more of the same?
>demons are noble and humans are evil/fanatic
I get why this is a turn off, but consider it this way; I would totally have Helck as our messiah.
Helck is such a cool guy, I would pledge my sorry life in an heartbeat for him
The remote island chapter, maybe chapter 12 or so.
I can't. I've read enough of these types of characters in LN to be excited for him. I want to, but I just can't because these types of stories usually ends up being a suffering plot to ensure Helck becomes a savior. The humans will sacrifice more of their humanity while the demons will sacrifice their lives. In the end, Helck will do some heroic noble stuff and save everyone by convincing them the errors of their way. Or maybe I'm just seeing too many parallels between the humans and demons as US and Japan during WWII or something. I can't explain it, I just don't like this series for whatever reason.
>Muslims can't be called humans anymore, they are just living weapons that repeatedly slaughter under the orders of ISIS.
>At this rate, all of you will... No... All the races in the world will be afflicted by that evil.
>Before that happens, as an American, I want to put an end to it.
I don't think I've ever said one side is right or wrong here. I said humans will give up more of their humanity and lives in their war against the demons while the demons will do the same. Sacrifices will be made on both end so that Helck will be more of a savior through his passive-aggressive actions. These types of stories work best when there's no right or wrong so the savior can save everyone by clearing up the confusion through some heroic self-sacrifice.
I want to give you the benefit of the doubt behind your words but I would like for you to continue reading. As of now, it would be hard to explain to you without spoiling. So at least keep reading is all I'm asking.
Main girl is going to fall in love with Helck.
Helck turns out to be a giant asshole who used the demons as a necessary means to get close to the human King and steal his power to become the ultimate lifeform.
Also funny trivia: northerners are a clan of amazons that use their breasts as catalysators to boost their power.
I hate how this potrays humans as the bad guys and demons as the good guys even though Vamirio already said that most demons in general are bad. I can't believe the author still manage to make a cliche manga even when he manage to create an interesting premise. I'm very dissapointed.
I read through everything up to latest chapter. This guy is baiting. Don't listen to those fake spoilers. If I need to have real spoilers then here's this
Helck's girlfriend's name is Alicia
If you mean about his girlfriend being forced to change is still cliche as fuck. Unless the king had a sad backstory and everyone volunteered to change and not forced, this will likely still be cliche.
Huh, somewhat close to Drow colors. Also, I like announcer girl with the hair that hides her eyes, nices memories of the YYH ring girl.
OK, I've read everything up to chapter 23. It's really more of what I've expected. In fact, they've just upped the noble demons and misguided humans factor by a lot. I can pretty much imagine the ending already. Helck goes out of control, fighting hatred/violence with hatred/violence and its up to our plucky young Stockholm Syndrome demon to calm him down and it will end with Helck offering his hand to the final boss as a gesture of peace after he beats him down with his fist.
And berserk is shit. Can't feel sad about spoiling that piece of shit. People really don't know what an actual good story is. Manga like this and Berserk can't even be considered a good story. So, spoiling that isn't actually noteworthy. Or maybe you just don't know. As expected.
I read everything up to current chapters and holy shit, just keep reading for pete sake. Bitch about it when it ends and say how cliche it is even though it executed it very well by standards.
Maybe it is the fact that Berserk is still considered better by many standards alone up to the golden age arc. Also you gain experience through reading with your eyes to see how the story unfolds on your own thus being able to judge it. It makes you un-credible if you don't do it on your own effort and read based on the content through experience. In other words, read it you dumbass.
There is that threat in the north that already has the demons on edge. It's likely the human king took that force into account when he used the angel spell on the other humans.
Ah, I see you're a man of refined taste as well
Yeah, that's why I said misguided humans. Because there's bound to be a huge catch to this, and how it will inevitably be up to the demons/Helck to convince them that is not the right path to take, or something like that. I could be wrong, but that's the feeling I'm getting from it.
Already read up to the latest translated chapter. And judging from the spoilers already given out from the untranslated stuff, I have the feeling I'm not too wrong on my assumptions.
Mmhmm. Yeah. You don't know everything. Just keep reading then judge the fuck out of it by the END. Even if it follows something done before, as long as it is done RIGHT like a journey to defeat the demon lord, then it is ok otherwise don't complain over it. You don't know the entirety of the story. Stop reading the spoilers and just follow the manga to the END.
I just discovered this series thanks to these threads on /a/ and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. Don't know if the TL is in this thread but just in case, many thanks for all the good work and spreading the word on obscure series worth reading.
Just finished the raws. It's cliche as fuck. And not the good kind. Everything I expected to happen, happened. Even the trauma from not saving his brother is cliche. Not to mention going berserk and getting saved by waifu shit. Fucking hell.
Ok. You just realize that you became a cynical asshole that expects everything your way and now you just realize how your predictions are and now your being a hypocrite. Great job. Now realize how good it was executed you impatient little bitch.
Seems to be more of the "I do it when I can" sort of thing. He's been putting out a least a chapter a day since Christmas, likely due to having more time with it being the Holidays and all.
Well to be perfectly honest I have never understood why it takes translation groups so damn long to translate 1 manga chapter.
There just aren't that many words, I mean I would assume that anyone who could read Japanese properly would be able to translate the actual text in less than an hour at most. The rest of the time would be editing the raws to actually put the text in but I really can't see that taking more than an hour or two as well unless you suck shit at basic image editing.
1 chapter a day seems somewhat appropriate for it if it's being done as a hobby. Maybe every 2-3 days if you're busy but I can't see it taking any longer than that even for one person.
I think they just don't give a shit, they set up a chapter a week because it's not their work and no one pays to them for it.
So they choose to work on it as little as possible whenever they feel like to spend 5 minutes to do something.
I mean it's just a hobby.
Is it weird that I feel really good when monsters kill those shitty human bastards?
Makes me so pumped, fuck yeah, genocide that retarded human race!
Demons are so much fucking cooler, makes me want to drop some nuclear bombs on this earth. Go Helck.
Doesn't umaru only host korean translations?
That's not really raw then, I can't read korean unfortunately.
I was just asking because of this.
I guess it's someone just scanned one page?
It's not that he's anemic, he just has poor defense and even then despite being a "puny" caster he's tough as fuck when determined, there's an omake chapter where
young Vamirio gets mistakenly trapped in a hot air balloon and he races through the countryside smacking monsters left and right to catch up to her, he's covered in blood by the end of it.
>spending effort to destroy something that will destroy itself
>is different so is good
Fucking hipster fuck.
We already got our first haters.
Very significant first step, never fucking change /a/.
As soon as we discover this marvel everyone is stunned by it's greatness.
3 threads later people see that it got more popular and it's "le bad series haha, fags"
Contrarians are such retards.
So you come asking about what people think about this in form of literal blog shitpost?
There's not even a question mark, you just came in and said it's shit.
Are you brain dead or something?
Undertale had some really clever programming and good music with a nothing to o special but nonetheless somewhat clever branching story. This is just a standard hero story with a few roles switched around.
Hyura will always remain as a delicious brown girl in our heart.
>Helck and Co. defeat King Wizard but it results in a huge explosion that seems to have claimed his life.
>Everybody especially Vamirio cries bucket of tears
>some time later we see a rebuilt Demon Capital after the climactic huge battle
>Vamirio and Hon talking about various changes, Hon brings up that amazing statue made in memory of Helck
>wait, what statue
>goes to look at it
>impeccable craftsmanship she's seen before
>runs to the entrance
>cast against the rising sun in the distance is the imposing silhouette of a man "straddling" a tiny demon cat, waving
>full page shot of Vamirio with tears in her eyes with the biggest smile on her face waving back
So I'm guessing the island is the ruins of the demon empire brought back in time or something.
I would feel cheated if the gate transported them through time because I assume Azudora's divination magic should have failed to point anywhere if Vamirio was entirely gone from the timeline.
I don't think they traveled through time but rather hag Vamirio traveled back in time.
But how would they know the spatial coordinates if something doesn't exist at the moment?
Why is Vamirio so cute? Like, holy shit she's adorable.
Wise words anon.
You're welcome anon. Vamirio is just super cute.
How long will this continue anyway?
More backstory, kill all humans, then maybe not kill all humans, and they lived peacefully ever after.
Better to have it end than drag on into despair.
The one that won was Kengan Ashura, Helck was in the 4th place
That is how it works, yes.
Can i cuddle it?
>is actually future vamirio & fluffy but from a different timeline where Helck & 99% of the human + demon population is dead. hence the lack of population on the island.
future vamirio knows they are going to visit the island so she spend her entire life waiting for that moment so she could give advice that might just save Helck and the rest.
seeing how the chapters are going now. we are in for a ride.
>Trumpshills can't be called /pol/lacks anymore, they are just living faggots that repeatedly shitpost under the orders of Trump
>At this rate, all of you will... No... All the boards in 4chan will be afflicted by that cancer.
>Before that happens, as a fellow /pol/lack, I want to put an end to it.
>trying to derail the thread with offtopic post
But nice try fag
Can someone shop him to say "Can't stump the Trump"?
>to be continued
SON OF A
Thanks for the scanlation rello
You know, I think the big reason this is so enjoyable is that Helck is genuinely likable. Not in the sort of forced way that a lot of writers try and make their leaders, but he's just go this fun charisma that jumps off the page
>Helck getting popular
Then I've done my job.
