Why isn't there more stories about the simple pleasure of eating, drinking and chilling?
the live action is pretty comfy
Why aren't there more fantasy stories that ignore the adventure and focus on eating, drinking and chilling?
I mean, Dark Emperor Killdeath Deluxe must be dealt with, sure, but I've got to pick up my cousin from sword practice. What sort of societal changes would logically result when any schmoe can cause an explosion by thinking about it? I just want to watch cute elves doing cute things.
Well the one that does exist, is making waves with all the editors and probably the guys who normally chose manga for awards. I wonder if anyone would've even noticed if it wasn't for Kui Ryoko's prior Manga Taisho nomination.
I'm just being honest. Taking actions without owning up to them just creates confusion. If the person you're trying to be intimate with can't figure out what your true intentions are, then all of your time and effort is being wasted.
Doublespeak is for cowards who always want to have an escape route in case their advances are rejected.
"Oh no I didn't mean as a date, I just like having lunch with people as friends. Heehee"

Well you would expect one to start on /a/. I don't think any other place touches anywhere near as much SOL. Besides listening to other people, you go by tags. There's not much else.
I think the attraction of Christmas Cakes in general is that they seem reasonably attainable and most of us can relate to them more than a high school girl or whatever. For us late-20s/early-30s guys, characters that we actually feel like we could meet and date have a lot of appeal.
I, for one, wish there were more manga and anime about cute Christmas Cakes.
