It's a harem that's easy for normalfags to enjoy. He has a normal boring relationship with one girl and they can say "I'm totally watching for the dialogue" and pretend they don't actually like harems. The anime also has a very high budget which helps.

Lots of people say things like cute girls, fanservice, etc., but that's stupid because most series have these things without even close to the success. The one thing it has that other shows don't is presentation, and even that's kind of a wash because most Shaft shows are similar.
