so i finished nt11 today and holy shiet didnt see that coming. what are the chances misaki will get a better resolution in the future?
I always had a slight preference for mikoto but im fullblown misakifag now.
pretty much everything. was emotional and original and didnt get bogged down with pointless fights. the only thing i didnt like was when the 2 girls sort started bitching over who got to spent time with touman.
kamachi style has also gotten alot better in these last novels, i remember i couldnt even finish the first one because of badly written it was. Though that might have been the translators fault.
i didn't like how thin ant girl's reason for hating misaki was, literally two instances that were beyond her control.
>who the higher ups picked to be a 5
>and touma running into her by accident
the fight was ok for a psychic fight, a bit bogged down for the moments of her messing with misaki for no reason. seria's reasons for helping misaki at the end made no sense since touma would not remember her even if she died. the best part was misaki searching for clues, meeting with seria, and the flashbacks. not as bad as people say in my opinion.
It wasn't even as emotional as her flashback in Railgun. Othinus and maybe Index aside, there are not girls with truly emotional moments with Touma. We didn't even get to see a reaction from her after losing him forever. You suddenly stop caring when you know the true reason Misaki can't meet him like a normal person again.
>i didn't like how thin ant girl's reason for hating misaki was, literally two instances that were beyond her control.
that's true but it's typical for the series really. i guess she just needed someone to blame just as she needed someone to rescue her.
also i though touma also only ran into her by accident when he lost his phone. the rest were him keeping tabs on her.
seria is just a good person i guess
I'm not quite sure about that. Yuno path maybe.
More like he finally saw the light and acknowledged who the better girl is.
NT11 is generally considered the worst NT volume yet. Even for Kamachi, it's too ridiculous and feels very artificial, like he is trying a bit too hard writing Misaki. Kamachi drove himselfinto a corner, so it's like he had to figure out a way to explain Misaki's connection with Touma and find a way to make it so he couldn't remember her.
>kisses Touma on the forehead despite only hurting herself in the process
She already won this battle.
Because of her power and because of IB, Touma literally forgets Misaki every time after she leaves. Touma can't retain memories about her because of some bullshit about her power being inherently active in her, so she's effectively erased from his memory. It's a kind of 'out of sight, out of mind' only Touma has no control over it.
She can read his mind as long as he's not touching his head but IB just dispels any memories he has of her because somehow memories of her are tied to her power.
Also she used to be flat chested but she grew big for Touma.
Too many Touma will never reminder Misaki. Meanwhile, Mikoto keeps scoring points.
Other girls come and go, but Biribiri is constant and forever. Do not forget that. Let Biribiri find a way in to your heart again someday.
It's not about Touma. It's about what the girls do.
Right because Touma doesn't know that she always helps and how far she would go/do if it's for his sake.
And Mikoto has done a ton for Touma, and she will continue to do so.
>othinus is a fairy
>itsuwa in jail
>kanzaki in england
>seria will never make her move
>index spends the most time with him and yet makes the least effort to establish a romantic relationship
>tfw bill cosby wins by process of elimination
When does Haimura reveal the HQ version of the cover, the month before release or on release date itself?
ARRRGGGHHH KANZAKI HELP ME, IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN
>Right because Touma doesn't know that she always helps and how far she would go/do if it's for his sake
Yeah, and it makes no difference in how he sees, treats or feels about her.
Index and Misaka are the main girls, but there won't be a romantic end. Index will by the girl who will always be by Touma's side and Misaka will always be the girl who supports Touma as a friend.
Simply put, Kamach is keeping it shounen.
he's got two cripple brown girls
i hope anon
>Kamach is keeping it shounen.
LNs of the same publisher, same demographics, same genres, even same editor, etc, as Index, have had romantic ends.
Touma treats every girl basically the same general way no matter what. Your point is moot. But the fact is he is aware of it and acknowledges her, and that follows through with his consideration and seeking Mikoto out or relies on her because of trust.
You forgot my picture how dare you
>tfw Index is going to be my waifu
>LNs of the same publisher, same demographics, same genres, even same editor, etc, as Index, have had romantic ends
This does not always happen with WSJ though
Also someone help me with these runes
if i grabbed couple of those index 4komas off pixiv would translate? it's the same guy who did the othinus ones posted in the last thread.
>Your point is moot.
No. The point is that Mikoto has never scored a single point with him.
Touma can trust literally anyone. A big plot point is exactly him being manipulated by everyone around him. Mikoto is not special in that regard, or any regard, really.
I'm pretty sure SnS as a seinen LN has been known for a long time, but Wikipedia only categorizes it as under "male", not Shounen or Seinen. What's sure, though is that the Eternal Song manga is Seinen.
I agree. The shipping shit is by far the worst part of the actual narrative and the fandom. I have no problem with shipping stories but Index isn't one of them and it doesn't belong if you ask me
That was actually me
It saddens my heart that overrated skank in revealing clothing got so much attention after that
Sfx: Crack, whack, smash etc
Sob sob sob
Its status has been discussed quite a bit in the past regarding if it's shounen or seinen. Before the supposed questionable demographic debate, it was always seen/known as seinen. I still personally think it's seinen.
Mikoto is far from being the only girl who score points with Touma. It's not about being special or anything. You're delusional if you think supporting/doing things for him and Touma being aware and acknowledging her isn't scoring points with him.
I feel like there are loopholes in the way this works or it simply doesn't make sense.
So what if Touma agrees to go on a date with her and they're eating at a restaurant or something and she leaves for the ladies room. Will Touma get amnesia and being confused, just leave? What if she comes back, will he suddenly remember he was supposed to be there for a date?
She deserved what she got
But yeah I agree.
The shit with Touma ONLY forgetting Misaki was bad enough.
The shit with Touma NEVER BEING ABLE TO REMEMBER MISAKI, EVER was pushing it too hard.
Also the fluids shit, how Misaki could "read" memories from touching objects with her hands, the fat ant that wasn't actually fat and all that shit.
Scoring points would be doing things for him AND him returning some affection or appreciation.
This is true when you can see how Touma would think of her the same and would treat her the same independently of what she does for him.
It was always shit
Because it stopped being about me and Kanzaki and Index
No, take of your shipper goggles. Touma and Mikoto will always be friends, they don't need romantic dynamic in their interactions. Since they're friends, Mikoto sharing Touma's burden and Touma acknowledging her efforts is mutual caring.
It's okay Kanzkai your tits are still the biggest
In Japanese bookstores, they separate LNs as male or female demographic. Only manga have shounen or seinen demographic. And going by manga adaptation's demographic of course wouldn't be accurate. DB carries all kinds of works in its label for LN. The best way to see which works caters more to is by reading it. Index is very much shounen and SnS is very much seinen.
>Since they're friends, Mikoto sharing Touma's burden and Touma acknowledging her efforts is mutual caring.
There is a flaw here. A normal "friend" wouldn't go out of her way to involve herself in shit totally unrelated to her for a guy that isn't even on close terms with her. And the other friend wouldn't just accept those reckless actions without questioning first.
Touma sees how far she goes for him, but still doesn't bother to question her or even have an inner monologue about the reasons, motivations behind her actions, what he truly means for her, means that she really isn't scoring points with him.
Let's take this to another scenario with the same characters. In Railgun, Kongou goes out of her way to help Mikoto, and shit happens. However in the end they have a heart-to-heart talk and Kongou makes it clear to her that she did it because she was fond of her, and Mikoto acknowledges that effort as something special.
>The best way to see which works caters more to is by reading it. Index is very much shounen and SnS is very much seinen.
Both are LNs made specifically for teenagers. Adults don't read LNs, they read actual books.
Only on is for young boys. The other is clearly for young male adults.
>Adults don't read LNs, they read actual books.
Right and adults don't read/watch mahou shoujo either, right? Really, how narrow-minded of you.
This is kamachi-related enough, so...
From the A Simple Monitoring games, which of them are the most terrifying games for you if you were forced to participate?
The guillotine one made me fucking nervous.
You are still thinking of shipping. Stop it.
Neither Mikoto nor Touma are normal people with normal personalities. But they have a normal relationship for the two of them in that it isn't romantic, but something akin to comrades. Much like any comrade Touma recognize and recalls, any of them helping him will be scoring points in his book, obviously. Though Mikoto does like Touma, has feelings for him to make her act for his sake, she generally keeps that in-check except during comedy category scenes.
You're the only seeing shipping. And now scoring points isn't that special as well, since everyone can do it.
You ignored Kongou's example even though it's a better done "comrade" relationship.
You are trying to invalidate Mikoto scoring points by playing the affection/special feeling/obvious romantic feeling card.
Never said it was and I already said she isn't the only one since anyone who helps Touma and him acknowledge them is scoring too. The point was Misaki can't score points in Touma's eyes because he cant' remember her. That is undeniable.
Better is subjective.Touma and Mikoto already have a mutual thing between them, which suits them fine for their dynamic. It allows them to be comrade-like and also keeps the tsundere and harem antics afloat by not being too close yet. Kongou and Mikoto are closer and they're girls who can be more intimate, simple as that.
Stiyl I just want you to know I appreciate you showing up to every raildex thread. I have a giggle every time
