So /a/ how many episodes have you seen total?
All the long ass shonen shit I used to watch 10-5 years ago puts me way over 2,000.
Oh boy, a niwaka e-peen thread.
A bit over 4000.
Wow, that really isn't that much at all. I feel a bit sad.
>/a/ always acts as if they've seen a shit ton
>every yearly /a/ survey has the majority of people having seen between 150-250
>normally less than 5% answering more than 500
>most of /a/ talks big and doesn't actually watch much
619Without counting Hentai shows. But I read a lot of manga.
2563 files in my anime folder, probably near 3000 if you add the stuff I've got on DVD.
Not much, but i only started watching anime methodically a couple of years ago.
People who take those retarded surveys include tons of lurkers who don't watch as much, also I doubt I'm the only one who pretends to be some kid from /b/ to piss people who think surveys are a good idea.
Apparently about 95 days worth. Something over 5000 episodes.
Maybe 350 series.
/a/ is all about the seasonal anime. There are occasional classics thread, but those are very few and only the popular ones. In reality, people here have seen only a handful from the 90s and earlier.
You replied. You already failed in having anyone believe that.
I don't think anyone is attempting to show off because that would be stupid. It was a simple question to fulfill some random curiosity. No need to be so defensive about not watching a billion shows.
No, I mean I don't care about how many I have seen. But bringing up being defensive isn't a good idea because people will think you are the one with the insecurity regarding the subject.
Fuck, that's a lot more than I thought.
Not OP, but I'm using MAL just to have a simple list; I'm not counting the ones I dropped and I don't give scores. I could also make a list on my computer, but this way I get some statistics as well.
As for why I'm making a list in the first place: every one or two years I'm going through it to decide on a potential rewatch. Most series I have forgotten after some time, but this way I might get some idea for a series I might want to watch again. Hence why I'm not counting my dropped series.
Too many to count or give a fuck.
Been watching anime since 6, you tell me how many I've seen.
And I'm a huge ass newfag.
You need to step it up OP
6,241. 100 days.
I've only been watching anime seriously since 2009 as well, so I feel that's pretty lightweight.
I think I own more DVDs and Blurays than that, so I've got to be at least 4x that in purchased anime alone.
Then you have to throw in the fansubs of stuff I never bought, which includes all One Piece, all Precure, Doremi, lots of other 4-cour+ magical girl shows, most unlicensed Gundam, all of LotGH and side stories.
Plus at least three or four seasonal shows completed, every season from the last decade or so.
...Fuck. I've wasted my life, haven't I?
not sure if that counts rewatched stuff, but I still have a ways to go
Here, let's make it simple. Go watch a couple Excel Saga episodes without reference notes, then with. If you missed anything, you should probably lurk moar, kill yourself, or, if you don't have enough substance to do either one of those, just get the fuck out of /a/.
Most reaction pics which from that pic was made of are cropped anime.
And besides, most black and white would look like shit.
>TV: 104, OVA: 19, Movies: 63, Spcl.: 20
There's no point on try to keep an average if what you are doing isn't watching random anime. My mean is 8.0 because I only watch shows that are actually good. The only shows I rate below 5 are season garbage.
>My mean is 8.0 because I only watch shows that are actually good
That I actually like*
You don't have to finish everything you watch, anon.
>How many shows did you watch? 100?
Right back at you. Once you've seen enough anime you learn to pick the ones you're likely to like.
I can't know if I like a show if I haven't watched it, that's stupid. When I'm thinking of watching a show I look for reviews and ratings pretty much everywhere to get a general sense of its quality. If it's not worth it then I don't bother.
once you get the opinions of a lot of people you can get closer to objectivity, so I let that guide the choice of which anime I watch. I don't let that tell me if I'm going to like that anime or not, I form an opinion about that anime once I've finished watching it.
I'm not sure, I don't see any reason to keep track of that stuff. I can remember if I've seen a title or not.
That being said, I've been picking up 5-15 series per season since Chobits was airing.
I don't know, it doesn't matter. This isn't a way of life, it's just a hobby. There are a lot of excellent series I won't watch in my life but I don't let that get me down. There's a lot more to life than the animes.
