Zoro stated he literally sensed the rocks and knew where they would not fall in advance. You keep trying to squirm around this.
>>
>>120694999
He also sensed where his sword was in the rubble. The only reason you don't think this was CoO is because it happened early in the story, but that's exactly what it was and in the very next saga mantra was introd directly

Oh my god are we seriously doing this again? Every few months we go through this. It's not fucking CoO if you cannot predict the attacks of an opponent. Zoro could not do that. If you want to call it anything, call it a swordsman sense, like his sensei was saying. But "feeling the breath" of inanimate objects falling isn't the same as sensing your opponent. And before anyone else posits, no it isn't the same as hearing the "voice of all things". And the reason it isn't considered CoO is because it isn't in line with the abilities of CoO, it's just similar. It's the same difference between CoA and Tekkai.

And further, we know that Zoro never displayed the skill to sense opponents (CoO) until the timeskip, but after his "breakthrough" on Alabasta, he did gain the ability to cut steel and sense his sword whenever it was near him, like in Water 7.

It is perfectly in line with CoO, just immature and only developed enough that it let him win that fight. Usopp also learned CoO in combat. You just don't like the fact that CoO is not mind reading.

There is no evidence of a "swordman haki," and there is evidence against it.

CoO is more than just the ability to sense opponents, Zoro knew where the rocks would not fall Zoro felt the 'presence' of the rocks, the 'presence' of his sword, etc.

I know you think CoO is mind reading but that's just the appearance it gives off, the average person would think their mind was being read because they couldn't comprehend being read so well otherwise, but just like devil fruits are thought to be magic but are really technology, CoO is just about seeing everything possible and then depending on your skill as a fighter, you can see telegraphs in whole new ways and take advantage of that, or find your sword under rubble, of dodge a crumbling pillar.

It is NOT inline with CoO. The 3 hakis have a fucking specified definition, it's not a catch-all for shit you want it to be. And I don't know why you think the page of him saying he senses falling rocks is empirical evidence of CoO, because it's the exact opposite. And stop acting like you're predicting what I think ("just mad cause you want it to be mindreading") because A) that's a waste of time and B) it's bullshit, because that's also not what the fucking definition of CoO is. Your problem is that you misunderstood what it does to begin with and now you're projecting that same misunderstanding on me like I'm a springboard for your bullshit.

Observation Haki does not allow you to sense inanimate objects. What it does allow you to do is:
>•Sense presences
-It's this skill that fighters use to determine their opponents will. If will is not being employed it becomes harder for the haki to sense the intention (like Luffy v Enel).
-This is also the skill that allows a person or animal to be sensed even if it can't be seen.
>•See auras and discern hidden enemy numbers
This is what we saw with Mihawk and Usopp. And this is why we consider what Usopp unlocked to be haki, not some "sniper sense". It's in line with the exact description given of CoO. He's not sensing inanimate shit, it's people.
>•the ability to gauge strength.
Rayleigh was able to determine the strength of the animals stronger than Luffy.
>•the ability to sense emotions
Aisa was able to sense how angry Wiper was.

Absolutely none of this applies to what Zoro did in Alabasta. He learned slice without cutting, not to sense his opponents presence. And you can bitch and moan about how similar they seem, but they're not the same. If you want to see what CoO looks like when it's unlocked in combat then look at Coby. I'm done spoonfeeding you faggots after this. If you're determined to be wrong, then so be it.
>>
>>120697436
>everything presented early is haji
That's not my argument.
When Luffy used CoO on the bull, when shanks used it on the sea monster, when satori used mantra, when zoro fought mr1, those were haki.

If you have to argue against something I'm not even arguing "everything is haki!" then you should just admit you are wrong and move on.

Zoro's use doesn't contradict Rayleigh's statement. It does allow you to sense inanimate objects or Fuji would be a terrible fighter because he'd only see bodies not walls, holes in front of him, and he wouldn't be able to find meteors

What motive does law have taking down a yonko, so far it appears in cold blood. It's a total change of pace from Luffy being blocked by x guy and beating the fuck out of him to now Luffy is actively seeking to hurt people to make a name for himself. Kinda fucked up I hope Kaido wins
>>
>>120698037
He's a blind Admiral, he's gotta be top tier CoO. I agree it's possible he doesn't use CoO to pull meteors (maybe he just randomly pulls with gravity and has no idea what he's pulling) but that seems to unskilled and he's already broken just by being able to pull them so there's no reason to believe his CoO isn't broken too.

You realize he got his fruit AFTER Akainu recruited him, meaning he was admiral tier with no devil fruit?

That's some next level speculation. If you want to do that, cool, but don't try to make it canon.
>>
>>120698401
A reasonable explanation exists, CoO, the blind admiral shows the power of it and when he wa introduced lots of snobs commented he must have God tier CoO.
No other named mechanism has been introduced, so it makes the most sense to go with the answer we already have.
>>
>>120698500
So how does Fuji get around in a fight without tripping over shit? His walking stick?

The guy grabbed a piece of the ground and made it into a magic fucking carpet for doffy and flew away. He is blind but he clearly can see on some advanced level.

>>
>>120698800
no he does not
>>
>>120698606
How the fuck should I know how he gets around? All I know is what the story says CoO is. If you want, you can believe its the same ability Zoro gains on Alabasta. You can shoehorn an explanation if you want, but that doesn't make it true. You know just as well as I do that even if you asked him, Oda would likely just write his ability to maneuver off as a gag. But unless Oda goes back and adds, "Btw, you can also sense non-living presences with CoO" then we know what Fuji uses to maneuver isn't that.
>>
>>120698680
So you haven't read the manga but you are telling me what CoO is? It's 100% canon that Fuji recently got his fruit and that he was testing it out as he took actions on Dressrosa, he said so himself.

Actually he wouldn't since he acknowledged through Luffy and rayleighs talk that various things we had seen were haki. Luffy did not see Zoro's fight with Mr 1.
CoO makes the most sense given what we know. Zoro felt Mr 1 too, that's how he could fuckin cut him.

Did anyone notice that zoros sensei cheated when he sliced the paper without cutting it? He reversed the blade.

No, he felt the breath of his body, aka steel. He also felt the breath of a rock and a palm leaf. I really am having a hard time seeing why you guys keep trying to consolidate two different skills. There's nothing wrong with him having a swordsman skill and CoO. Him sense the presence of non-animal objects is just a deal breaker.
It's like gays who try to stay Christian. It just doesn't work like that, unless you bend the rules and ignore the source.
>Fujitora: Much obliged. This was just a little...warm-up.

>>120699283
Ok first of all, I want you to acknowledge that this ("Fuji would not be able to fight top tiers if his CoO was blind to the environment he was in and he could only sense where people were.") is a stipulation that YOU set, not the manga, and second I never said Fuji can't also sense the environment with another technique. Him being a swordsman and also blind, I don't have a problem believing he also uses the same skill Zoro and his Sensei used. What's so hard to believe about one person using two skills?
>>
>>120699396
Bitch I said maybe you knew something we didn't. Just saying "nuh uh" isn't doing shit for anybody, so don't post some gay ass "owned" bullshit when you could've posted your source to begin with.

>>120699397
There is no evidence of an alternate observation haki just for swordsman. Rayleigh would have told Luffy since the purpose was to teach him the best combat skills to have and Rayleigh is probably a top 20 in the world swordsman and his crewmate Shanks rivaled Mihawk.
>>

The part that's hard to believe is we're almost to kaido and "swordsman sight" hasn't been introduced as a named concept but CoO has.

So are one of you gonna bother posting the page, or should we just take your word for it? Not that one translation out of 4 lends what you're saying any validity.
>>
>>120699742
No you said it was a separate mystery skill because he also sensed objects. The leaf is a living thing, mr 1 is organic steel, not inanimate. So either Zoro learned both skills or it's just CoO

>>120699773
"Being a named concept" is your holdup? Really? If this were a swordsman manga, then maybe that would hold some weight, but it's not. Sanji's leg being on fire isn't a named technique either, but he's able to combust at will.

Sanjis fire leg technique was explained not to be magic, but a result of friction, it's also named.
Zoro was the first crew mate and he is clearly shown learning his techniques sans Asura, so saying it's not a swordsman manga is irrelevant
>>
>>120699986
>I don't like it when I'm shown to be wrong

>>
>>120700048
Bullshit, all the way around. Sanji's leg being on fire without burning off, the ability to slice air, the Asura technique, Zoro's ability to pump up his muscles for his "gorilla" attacks, all that shit is nameless and none of it is magic. Neither is his about to cut steel, not does it need a name.

No, I'm him. I just wanted a fresh start on identifying our goals and positions in this disagreement because arguments get muddled and go off in different directions when they've been going on for a while. Anyway, this is my starting position: what Zoro uses in Alabasta and from then on out to slice steel is NOT haki, which is what he gains after the timeskip. I wrote out why this is the case here >>120697532.
>>
>>120700331
>The ability to slice air is a direct result of fighting mr1
No, when I say slice air, I mean the ability to send "slice projectiles".
>>
>>120700676
No where does it imply that "presence" is limited to only living things
>>
>>120700676
Okay, without emotion consider the following:
1. It has been stated that you can learn Haki without being taught (on the brink of death, in a life or death situation).
2. Coby did this during Marineford (CoO).
3. Luffy did this during Marineford (CoC though this wasn't his first unconscious use).
4. Usopp did this on Dressrosa when his whole crew would be erased if he missed.
5. Zoro did this vs mr1. Then later he wondered if he could still do it and he could. He had no idea what it really was so he could only use it consciously to dodge the rocks and cut mr1.

Mr 1 is a person with a devil fruit. A leaf on a tree has a life force. He saw all of it, and he used CoO prediction so he wasn't hit with falling rubble and CoO to see his sword under the rubble.

Otherwise it was "some other magic" because he couldn't physically see his sword at the time

Every example of its use, and in it's official introduction by Rayleigh. Further validated by the fact that when Luffy disregarded his will while fighting Enel, he lost the ability to sense the presence of Luffy's fists. Will and presence are the most important parts of CoO in every instance of CoO being used. If Enel, probably the strongest CoO user introduced in the story so far, lost the ability to use the technique on Luffy's fist, it totally invalidates the theory that CoO senses inanimate things. And that's why it's impossible for me to think of the technique Zoro used as being haki.

Garp wanted them to become pirates the whole time. The world government would have killed them for the sins of their fathers. Only free folk would raise Luffy and Ace. The marines are led by villains.
>>
>>120701180
Satori used CoO extensively in his fight, not just dodging attacks but using the environment to his advantage because he was in a minefield and could know which floating moving balls would explode and which wouldn't, Zoro was purposely not allowed to fight any mantra user except enel who immediately one shorted him with lightning. Instead, Usopp, Sanji, and Luffy triple teamed the guy.
>>
>>120701180
How did he lose the ability to use it on luffys fist? The richochet attack? Luffys fist is considered an animate living object that's part of Luffy. He lost the ability to predict Lucy's fist because it changed directions too many times too fast for his mind to keep up, not because he couldn't see it

every anime adaptation knows when to stop so they can let the manga/novel stack up on some chapters so they can re-resume with better spacing

EXCEPT for jump who insists on shoving us a shitty chapter every week FOREVER with no breaks, even as far as cutting out credits forever.

WHY do they insist on this? its not like one piece (THE MOST FUCKING POPULAR MANGA IN JAPAN) will fade in popularity just because the anime stops a couple of months, instead they keep burying themselves in in this shit.
>>
>>120701147
Okay. I considered that with no emotion. Now consider this the same way in kind:

Yes, haki can be learned under duress. Yes, people have learned haki under duress. And yes, Zoro learned to cut steal under duress. That's the common denominator for all those examples. But the difference is the most important part: the results. Just because he learned a technique close to death doesn't make it haki, it's a single similarity.

The differences between abilities are staggering. Zoro is never able to predict or sense his opponents after Alabasta, but he IS able to cut steel and sense his sword, as he doesn't on Thriller Bark and Water 7. If he learned CoO, he'd be the ONLY character to have learned a new version that allows sense of inanimate objects and he'd also be the ONLY character to have learned a technique then never use it again, not even unconsciously. All of this counts on Zoro being the sole exception for everything.
>>
if the D. legacy is so hated by the world government and the tenryuubito how did they let Garp get such a high position in the marines, let alone even let him alive?
>>
>>120701583
He could have had it but not known what it was or how to control it, like Luffy with Conqueror's.
>>
>>120701583
When he learned the technique he was astonished by the new perception he acquired, I apologize but that seems too much like the perception haki for me to buy its some other "sword magic" for swordmen. A dude with a sword is still just a dude

I really hope Kinemon gets to fight Trebol
>>
>>120701583
Zoro always gets lost but ends up in the exact right place to fight the exact enemy he's needed to fight.

Fujitora finds meteors as a blind man. It is not sensible to separate what Zoro did from CoO only because Luffy didn't flash back to something he didn't see when he had that "oh shit all that stuff was haki" moment.
Dodging the falling rubble had to be haji with the way Oda made such a huge deal out of it even though it would have been 100% believable for Zoro to just take that damage and still win

He wouldn't have any reason to do that if its a fuckin mystery.
>>
>>120694829
All they needed to do was not show the Sunny encountering Big Mom's ship, and they could have easily thrown in a filler arc concerning Sanji, Nami and the rest which then ended on the encounter.

It would have at least given them a few more weeks buffer, and more screen time for that lot before they disappeared completely.

I just went back and reread that entire fight. Not once did he do anything that made it seem like he was sensing inanimate objects. Not a single time. If you want to go reread it yourself, it's chapters 246,247,250.

>>120701528
No, I'm talking about pic related. I used the wrong example. Anyway, when Luffy turns off his brain, he can't be read. If haki were extended to inanimate objects, "will" should play no part, but after Luffy became an idiot he couldn't be read. That says enough.
>>
>>120701583
The most obvious thought if you want to cut through anything is CoA if you know about it, and probably people can cut steel with CoA too, but Zoro was taught the true master secret, that seeing the composition of a material and from that deriving the ability to cut or not cut, is superior. This is actually a plot point of grace of the sword vs might of the sword. Zoro yelled at his master her get strong enough to cut anything but his master sighed that he didn't get it, until mr1.

It makes sense his master taught him the precept behind CoO 'hearing the breath' of things, without confusing him by directly telling him in his rookie stages, so he would continue to focus on the basics instead of trying to go straight into that and ending up weaker because of it.

Of course I do know it's only just my opinion that his original master was/is top tier. Mihawk also commented on grace vs might at Baratie.
>>
>>120701528
I'm pretty sure it was explained that Enel couldnt predict and dodge fireworks because Luffy didn't know where the shots would land.
>>
When was the previous chapter released?
>>
>>120702417
Is it ever outright stated that pre-timeskip Zoro doesn't have CoA?

Weak people like Sai's jobber brother Boo, the girls in Amazon Lily can have Haki but I doubt all of those ladies can beat Daz Bones (famous to the point even Mihawk calls him by name).

I always thought Zoro unlocked a weak invisible CoA in that fight, his revelation moment with 'time' slowing down was very similar to Usopp's in Dressrosa.
>>
>>120702574
From Luffy's perspective, who had no idea what Enel was doing except he was dodging aimed attacks easily like he knew them in advance

In reality he could tell what was coming by what Luffys body was doing right at the start of the action, but when Luffy didn't aim at him and the punch started bouncing off walls Bellamy style, it became much harder to predict because senso had never seen it before and couldn't immediately comprehend where the fist would bounce and at what point it would hit him.

Also if CoO did not let you see inanimate objects Doflamingo's string clone would not be viable, unless he too is a swordsman with sword magic.
>>
>>120702863
He could have unlocked Haki in general, but the observation scene was most prominent because he'd tanked massive damage and kept fighting in the past.

>>120701872

>>120702124
>Zoro always gets lost but ends up in the exact right place to fight the exact enemy he's needed to fight.
Don't do that. You know as well as I do that it's just plot. And you keep talking about what's "sensible" (according to your sensibilities) saying things like "It HAS to be haki because Oda made such a big deal about it" or other non-evidential feelings about it instead of focusing on what IS. Yes, Fuji finds meteorites. So what? YOU'RE the one choosing to ascribe that ability to CoO, apropos of your own limited understanding of Haki. I'm not saying he doesn't use it to navigate. Because it would be stupid if he didn't. But I am saying it's highly unlikely he solely relies on it for everything. I think the cane makes that pretty self-explanatory.
>>
>>120703344
Yeah it's to be able to cut anything or nothing by understanding its molecular composition with CoO. CoO improves 'sight'.
That he couldn't consciously control it except near death suggests even more that it is CoO, since it is difficult to train, but can appear in the brink of death. It fits perfectly I'm sorry.
>>
>>120703344
How does he navigate seeing only living things? He stays in crowded places only?

Either you can see inanimate with halo or you can't. If you can, Zoro definitely used it on Alabasta.
>>
>>120703344
The cane is a sword, he purposely tries to appear non threatening if you haven't noticed. The card players never would have fucked with Fuji if he wanted to be mean looking. He could do all kinds of shit to intimidate people even without mentioning/being recognized as an admiral.

The "cane" is his primary weapon.

If he's using magic it's a fruit, haki, or he's an ancient weapon, since we are far enough in the story that these things have been fully introduced and now we are in Rising Action approaching climax.

If he's not using magic and just walks like a normal blind man he would be easy to evade with terrain or you could beat him easily by shaking his hand with sea stone rings on your fingers, since her have no idea until he felt them during the handshake.

If he can't see terrain, weapons, armor, then he's fucked vs zoro who has a sword in his mouth, and should not be an admiral.
>>
>>120702920
>couldn't immediately comprehend
My point is that he would never have been able to comprehend an attack like that. Luffy didn't know where his hit would land which means Enel can't read it.

That's great, but I'm talking about what CoO does. What it does is basically allows you to read the mind of others in regards to actions they are about to take.

The reason he was hit by fireworks was stated as him being unable to use mantra as Luffy didn't have any idea of where his punches were landing. Hell, it was stated right after he was hit by it that it was the reason for the attack.

No shit if somebody was stronger they could block the attack, I don't know why you decided on mentioning that.

Most of Oda's fights aren't super long.

Even the CP9 fights were only like 4 chapters. Zoro and Kyros have been fighting in the background for a while, so I figure one full chapter for each of them.

Then 2 or 3 for Trebol if a straw hat fights them (1 if Sabo shows up to fight him) and 3 or 4 for Doflamingo.

Yes. Oda wrote in a bubble that the reason Enel got hit by that attack is because he couldnt predict it.

I don't see any reason for Oda to make Nami say something like that if it was flat out wrong. You're debating that your idea of what happened is right and what was actually written by Oda is wrong. I want to see proof of your idea that an attack like that can be predicted using mantra.

Don't tell me that he could dodge it or block if he was stronger because no fucking shit Sherlock. I'm asking why you think he could predict moves like that using CoO when it was directly stated that you can't.

I dunno why people keep going with the Alabasta/breath shit being evidence of CoO (especially since we already know Zoro can use it NOW, does it really matter if he could back then?)

This is just anime swordsman shit, like the myth of Masamune;

A legend tells of a test where Muramasa challenged his master, Masamune, to see who could make a finer sword. They both worked tirelessly and eventually, when both swords were finished, they decided to test the results. The contest was for each to suspend the blades in a small creek with the cutting edge facing the current. Muramasa's sword, the Juuchi Yosamu (十千夜寒?, "10,000 Cold Nights") cut everything that passed its way; fish, leaves floating down the river, the very air which blew on it. Highly impressed with his pupil's work, Masamune lowered his sword, the Yawarakai-Te (柔らかい手?, "Tender Hands"), into the current and waited patiently. Not a leaf was cut, the fish swam right up to it, and the air hissed as it gently blew by the blade. After a while, Muramasa began to scoff at his master for his apparent lack of skill in the making of his sword. Smiling to himself, Masamune pulled up his sword, dried it, and sheathed it. All the while, Muramasa was heckling him for his sword's inability to cut anything. A monk, who had been watching the whole ordeal, walked over and bowed low to the two sword masters. He then began to explain what he had seen.

"The first of the swords was by all accounts a fine sword, however it is a blood thirsty, evil blade, as it does not discriminate as to who or what it will cut. It may just as well be cutting down butterflies as severing heads. The second was by far the finer of the two, as it does not needlessly cut that which is innocent and undeserving."

You mean like 99% of DF abilities ?
Oda doesn't care about consistency of the powers he creates. He makes things up according to a theme he sets for each character. Best examples are Doffy's parasaito and Law's countershock. The ability to create strings shouldn't allow you to control +1000 humans at the same time without even a conscious thought for them. A fruit which allows you to cut and manipulate anything and everything shouldn't allow you to create a current of electricity. But Oda does it anyways because Doffy has a puppetteer theme and Law has a surgeon theme.

Well the Doffy thing I may agree with (tentatively because he isn't the first character to be able to control multiple people), but you misunderstood Law's ability. His "Room" grants him the ability of a doctor and makes his opponent the patient on the table. This gives way for a WIDE variety of skills, cutting is just the most applicable. It's called the Operating fruit for a reason.
>>

In case you haven't noticed, devil fruits are pretty much magic. Oda does care about consistency, it's just that it applies to ALL the abilities he grants to the fruits. If he says that Law's fruit gives me a defibrillator-like attack, then so be it, as long as suddenly Law doesn't have it anymore for no reason.

Yeah I checked, he uses "to omoe" as the end, as in think of yourself *as* a patient on the operating table. So it is indeed just a metaphor.
>>
>>120706963
it's the Ope-Ope fruit. The Operation fruit.
>>
>>120706800
you're right anon I didn't see it at first
any suggestion about the rest
>>120706869
what is 6 then? My brother who doesn't even watch OP said it was nami
>>

Well yeah, but we have yet to see him materialize nurses out of thin air to provide him with scalpels.

>The ability to create strings shouldn't allow you to control +1000 humans at the same time without even a conscious thought for them
I think Parasite is more about simple order rather than direct control
>>
>>120706733
A one armed man stopped him.
My point only stands of new model pacifista are anywhere near as strong as Kuma. By wreck Akainu easily I mean defeat his forces, especially if their armor withstands magma, which with vega punk making them, seems probable.
>>
>>120707205
You're probably right given that controlled people only stop when they're unconscious, but my point stil stands : a string fruit shouldn't allow you to give an order to people's brain.
>>
Why didn't Doflamingo just tell Pica to incapacitate the gang and then use his wall cutting kick again?
>>
>>120698164
earth may not seem like it because of its sheer size but there are MILLIONS or small asteroids and metors orbiting earth right now, theres even a graph that shows what it would like if they were made visible. its almost a miracle we can get shit into orbit without it getting fucked up.
>>
>>120706481
#19 is Nojiko
>>
>>120706733
Im not saying he's not one of the strongest characters in the story I'm saying if the new model is anywhere close to as strong as Kuma and there's lots of them they will easily destroy the Marines who also have worry about other threats. Akainu could solo a new pacifista but probably only without relying on his fruit. If the SMILES actually go to WG (doffy plays both sides) then these pacifistas might have SMILEs embedded too, and it seems likely they work with Doffy if they are willing to trick Akainu for him.

To me it seems more likely the WG will decide a robot army is more trustworthy than a human one, now that the final product is ready.

It's possible an army of new pacifistas could defeat any individual in the one piece world, we don't know except Kuma is really strong
>>
>>120698264
what made you think he doesnt have a devil fruit

CoC through the string. It could happen.

The scans I read (which someone posted itt) he said he was testing it. One translation disagrees though so it's hard to know what's legit.
>>
>>120707401
Parasite doesn't control their brain, it controls their body.
>>
>>120707533
Could is the key word here. We have seen no instances of people controlling others with their haki yet. Nullifying their fighting intent yes, making them unconscious yes, but nothing beside that.
>>
>>120707615
I agree I just think if there are multiple ways to use CoA there might be multiple ways to use CoC.
>>
What haki did Rayleigh use on the chains at the auction? What did it do?
>>
>>120707615
I'm not sure if I believe my own idea because thinking on it, people's wills don't seem changed when it happens, they freak out that they are being forced to attack friends. So probably not, was a decent half assed guess though
>>
>>120707600
Then why can't parasaiito control unconscious people ?
All your moves can be controlled if you hijack the connections between the brain and your limbs. So of course that attack is going for the brain, just a certain part of it.
>>
>>120707725
Plot Haki
>>
>>120707803
>tfw we will never see specialized haki.
At least the anime made it seem like it slowed down time for the chain or something. Allowing him to take it off before it exploded.
>>
>>120707780
I don't fucking know m8 ask Oda

but everyone Doflamingo has controlled has shown the ability to control their head/eyes and to talk free of his influence
>>
>>120707903
Maybe he targets the Spine not the brain
>>
>>120707903
>but everyone Doflamingo has controlled has shown the ability to control their head/eyes and to talk free of his influence
Yes and I just explained to you why. Doflamingo doesn't aim for their thoughts, just their motor neurons.
>>
>>120708040
then why can they talk and control their heads?

it targets the spine and everything below it.
>>
Threadly Reminder that Based Pinkdidn't throw Franky on his back, to be fair. If this isn't manly, then what is?

To show that they're not willing. Moreover hijacking their mouths seems like a superfluous effort.

Dellinger is very manly.

why does everything have to be fucking haki. It could have been brute strength.

So what do you think the drawback of SMILE will be?

It's obvious there'll be one, since Vegapunk is smarter than Caesar and couldn't make a perfect artificial Devil's Fruit.

My guess is that anyone who eats a SMILE is stuck in the hybrid form.
>>
>>120708490
Wouldn't that just make it explode? I think he stopped time with haki so he could take it off
>>
>>120708547
did Vegapunk have access to the dwarves though? I think it's only because of them that SMILE is a success, hence why there probably isn't any drawback
>>
>>120708561
>he stopped time with haki
Where do we go from here?

Doffy's song here http://flamingo-chan.tumblr.com/post/109769673012/one-piece-nippon-judan-47-cruise-cd-at-saga
Weird metalxflamenco song, I like it.
>>
>>120708611
I don't think Oda will put straight up artificial Devil's Fruits into the story. there has to be a drawback of some sort, I think.
>>
>>120707118
Nojiko would be my guess.

Speed up time with haki so you can look at people and age them to death.

Perhaps, but I think the utilisation of the dwarves is a critical difference between Vegapunk's attempts and Ceasar's SMILE.

Vegapunk's was closer to the real thing but the user can't control the switching, so I figure Caesar made something that's more useful to pirates/the marines but is at the same time 'worse' than what Vegapunk made.

no but you can find them individually easily.

Law also got beaten up by Fujitora, pinned by gravity for an extended period, had to use his abilities many times, and got shot by Doffy.

When at most, you sleep 3-4 hours a day, draw nonstop the other 21-23 hours, live in one room, and smoke as much as Oda does, it tends to be just a bit bad for your health after 10 years.
>>
>>120709917
I thought he quit smoking after the tonsillectomy.
>>
>>120707044
My guess is they are not standard meteors, but rather he lofts a bunch of earth way high up out of view and then just drops them at will, letting the planets gravity do the work, maybe steering with his power.

It wouldn't take much to pull a meteorite down though cus once it started to fall it would fall on its own.
