That's your own bias. The first episode had drama, but it also had cutesy comedy. There was no bait and switch; you just expected it to fit into a box.

The movie was largely unnecessary, could've been told in an OVA episode, and all it does is confirm what we already knew Ohana means family.

I personally don't get what people enjoyed from this show.
The drama was petty as fuck and annoying.
Almost all the girls had terrible emotional control and all the guys were complete incompetent fucks.
It was like a bad soap opera, and it just made me stressed/angry.
The SoL bits didn't make up for the drama.
The resolution was just that "well, your grandmother, your mother and you are all intolerable whores but shikata ga nai and it's daijobu love yourself like that" and they lived happily ever after with the status quo maintained, besides the uncle who kinda got something from the real estate girl or whatever she was.
The girls were erotic though and I'd hate fuck every single one of them. The ntr djs were nice too.

For me it was another miss for P.A. just like Angel Beats, Glasslip, etc.

The SoL was weak, besides the kitchen scenes the rest was pretty meh, I feel it lacked in the show don't tell department, and the drama (besides the probable selling of the inn thing) was basically out of everyone's lack of maturity and it got old really fast.
