Slowpoke here, but Jesus Fucking Christ why did this anime have to end like that?
I'm not even pissed that it's a happy ending, I like happy endings, but why the fuck did it have to take that path? Why did it set up a logical hero system and then suddenly completely shit up and break it completely with absolutely ZERO foreshadowing? Why did Tougou's resolve just fold in one minute after being punched once? Why was Yuuna the one who fell asleep when it was Karin who pushed herself the most?
Christ, this could have been AOTY 2014 if the writers didn't decide to suddenly go retarded.
Was there even any reason for the Yuuna coma? It was just tacked on, instead of 5 minutes of unnecessary "Yuuna is a log" drama they could have justified the deal with them recovering from their sange more.
It is just a prequel turbonerd
Watch the end card
"yuki yuna's chapter"
>Why did it set up a logical hero system and then suddenly completely shit up and break it completely with absolutely ZERO foreshadowing?
What do you even mean? That they got back what they had lost? Shinju-sama didn't plan to give it back, but when it witnessed the resolve of the heroes and the power of humans it decided otherwise. The hero system will be revamped and mass-produced and in the future every pure girl will be able to mankai without sange, however they will be weaker and have no protection from the fairies. I don't have the link to that info right now but it was just revealed like two days ago.
>Why did Tougou's resolve just fold in one minute after being punched once?
Because her whole resolve was based on suppressed feelings of fear and sadness, a punch, a hug and a promise is enough to break that.
>Why was Yuuna the one who fell asleep when it was Karin who pushed herself the most?
Maybe because she touched and destroyed the core of a Vertex with her bare hands?
Now, before you ask more angry questions: Read the LN, play the VN, lurk more and read the interview and other background info:
Also right now we're waiting for scans for another LN chapter, Sonoko After, which will focus on Sonoko and in general on what happend during and after the final episode.
You know, the only weakness of this show is that it leaves out lots of important background info you need to collect by consuming other media, read interviews, etc. Therefore it's a good idea to lurk here.
This is not up-to-date anymore, but a good point to start: http://pastebin.com/E0V76WGN
She mankai'd with sheer KONJOU and touched vertex core untransformed.
>Why did Tougou's resolve just fold in one minute after being punched once
Because ultimately she just panicked, and all Yuuna had to do was calm her down.
>putting major plot points of an anime outside of the anime
>people defend this
You Damn Fool need to read the fucking staff interviews, and that is not outside the anime!
What outside we currently know (or just have known) is no more barrier, mass produce phones and we crusade now.
So this is what I get for carefully avoiding spoilers and spoiler threads entirely and marathoning the show and letting it set itself up without any preconceived expectations?
>lol the interviews/LN/VN solve everything
Deal with it! Like I said it's probably the biggest downside of this show that you have to get additional information from elsewhere to understand everything, but it can't be helped.
Given the japanese pace you were supposed to have read up to chapter 5 of the prequel LN at the start of the show and every 4 episodes another chapter until chapter 8 came together with the final episode. It was all timed pretty well.
The only real problem is that idiots will marathon the anime, ignore all other content, complain that they were fooled and then act all uppity when they get told.
The anime is incomplete without the LN. If you can't deal with that, just move on.
The main points are that you miss the content, the shadow and then come up here spouting it.
Hint: read the shinto and buddha ideas about heroes, gods and human relationship for those damn hidden points.
Hint2: try to understand the flower.
Oh boy, here we go.
Text is pretty small, but I'll try to work with it.
1st VN was the latter already, so I'm really hoping for the former. I need to see Karin starting to recover.
It's not conventional for an anime to be so multimedia in its presentation, but it works. If you actually take your time and check everything out. There's no reason to be this mad.
Why is that a problem? Is there any law saying that every anime has to be closed within itself and is not allowed to expand beyond the reach of it's twelve episode? This was planned from the start as franchise that went beyond the anime. It was marketed from the start as that too. The LN started being released months before the anime.
Holy shit, yes. I love you anon, you're a hero.
Sorry I'm too used to Sony's style and thus mixed something up. There are no indication that these BDs are Limited edition, but on official site http://yuyuyu.tv/bddvd/bddvd_01.php , all specials are labelled as first-press only special.
The quality is horrible, but it's readable. My eyes would really appreciate it if you could take some higher resolution pictures of the LN pages though.
>quickly flip through the pages to check the quality
>see Gin's name written somewhere
Thank you, Takahiro.
Well, the only other thing that costs money would be that small one volume LN that's really short and whose sales probably make up only a small part of the whole revenue. If that was honestly a cash-grab strategy it was a really shitty one.
LN was published monthly in a magazine, I don't even think there are plans for a volume release. Same for 4koma. It's marketing, not a cash grab. VN comes bundled with the BDs too.
You look like /v/ knee-jerk reacting over what you think is DLC.
Madoka Magica is a franchise with several alternate versions of the story, scenarios not revealed in the TV anime itself, and side-stories with different characters all in an expanded universe.
Yet the Madoka anime itself stood very well on its own feet and told a complete story while enticing fans to pick up the other merchandise to discover more of the universe.
YuYuYu didn't need to leave out important material to get people to look into the side stories and prequel. It just made the anime a lower quality product in the end.
Oh man, this is so good.
I can get the general idea even with some of the words being unreadable, but translating it would be a bit tough.
I really hope we get a better version soon.
Yes. Thanks for the wonderful insight.
Put it this way, they made Madoka first then released the site stories way later. Did you read TDS to find out about Mami/Kyouko side story before Kyouko appeared in the anime? Nope. They made it to milk the franchise.
Stuff here is released concurrently and in this case the LN came first. We knew about Sonoko before ep8.
Learn the difference.
But anon, Madoka was the case of cash grabbing with a popular franchise. It's not a multimedia project, the anime is the finished product and the rest is made because of it's success. In YYY, everything was made and released in a way you should be getting info from several fronts as the story was told.
>only 21 unique posters
Shitty OP's getting in the way of YuYuYu threads as usual. Is the translator anon already aware of this?
Already working on it, anon.
Haven't been on the threads for a while, so I don't know if it has been brought up before, but didn't Sumi pass out or go through something similar when she revived the prophecy from Shinji-sama?
>Why did the Hero System go away with ZERO foreshadowing?
There was plenty of foreshadowing anon, Fuu even said that you can take back sacrifices after a while in Episode 7.
>Why did Tougou's resolve fold in one minute after being punched once?
Tougou wasn't even thinking very logically, she was panicking. It's established that she's a pessimist and a bit of a coward, and that she tends to try and do things on her own. She probably thought that the other Heroes would agree with her, but when her girlfriend so violently disagreed her resolve pretty much shattered. All Yuuna really did was calm her down and get her to think straight for a second.
>Why was Yuuna the one who fell asleep?
The way she Mankai'd from her human form and how she touched the Vertex core as a human are explicitly things that have never happened before, plus the fact that the writers are officially playing coy about Yuuna's dizzy spell at the end heavily suggests that that whole ordeal is beyond ordinary Sange.
The Vertex (aka the other gods) communicated with Yuuna when she passed out, and revealed to her some horrible secret about Shinju.
Next Chapter: Yuuki Yuuna
>mfw when this chapter touches on and delivers pretty much everything that was anticipated in the threads
I should have never doubted them.
Jokes on you, the text clearly depicts her as jealous.
