The only post-2000 anime I can think of that is on par with the 90s is Azumanga, Noir, possibly GITS, Planetes, Cromartie, Nanoha, etc. Most of it is either pre-2005, SoL, or both. I guess the 2000s had better anime to watch with /a/, such as Geass.
