I read KnK ages ago and never thought about searching for one.
The name got translated as The Garden of Sinners rather than the literal ver. Boundary of Emptiness so whereas I did come across it before I never noticed what the fuck it was.

Garden of Sinners, by the way, is the subtitle of the Japanese version.

There's a Tsukihime anime, and while the plot is largely the same as the first route of the VN, they vastly changed (read: butchered) the main characters' personalities. As a result, people said it wasn't a faithful adaptation, and therefore wasn't really a "Tsukihime anime," and that's where the meme came from.
