Beef is expensive. That's how they save enough money to keep burgers on their dollar menu while everyone else no longer can.

I don't eat McDonalds anyway though, it's just that if I did want something to eat because I was hungry, I wouldn't spend another few hours preparing it or spend even more energy looking after it as it fries and turning it and whatnot.

Granted I usually just buy bags of frozen fries from a grocery store as I hardly have time to cook.

How are burgers hard though? Just buy some ground meat, season and shape as patties, cook it up, chop some vegetables and smear some sauce. Buy buns from grocery store.
