This is so stupid, I'm so done with this awful show.

They mean the gravitational influence of the dense asteroid belt, I'm sure they mention this in the same vein as "wind".
>>
>>120465388
They are talking about the gravitational pull of the moon bits retard. Cyegg talks about how he compensates with his eye the first time he does the long range sniping
>>
>>120465498
If that's what they mean, then why don't they just say "The gravity is complicated"?
>>
>>120465580
Because they don't.

Considering the similarities of wind and gravity, it shouldn't be a fucking problem.
>>
Solar Wind, dumbass.
>>
>>120465629
Solar Wind doesn't work like that.
Stop making the Astrophysicists cry.
>>
>>120465580
No clue, maybe they play a lot of golf and get their balls swept away by wind?
How you experience it is kind of similar. "oh, I didn't take wind into account" vs "oh, I didn't take the gravitational influence of the huge massive rock over there into account".
Either way, you ball's trajectory is altered.

They just say "wind" to that.

To be fair, they kind of use it to justify (or pretend it justifies) how Inaho beats the superior space magic mecha.
>>
It's really like I'm in the early threads for this show, people still bitching about the technical details.

There's special alnoah gravity in the moon bits.

These shows wouldn't be as fun if they didn't take liberties like this with science. I doubt any of the shit they pulled of would actually work like that.

>this is how retarded the fans are

it's like the writters were too lazy to spend 20sec searching this shit in wikipedia
>>
>>120466035
They want something to happen, so they say it happens. That's how fiction works. They want to have to adjust trajectories, so they say there's magic gravity. What's your issue?
>>
>>120466013
Yeah, it's a simplified term to use on the field. They've explained in the show what the wind is.
>>
>>120466035
Being able to accept suspension of disbelief isn't being retarded.

I think the show's shit and am only sticking around because I'm being an autistic completionist, but HURR USE WIKIPEDIA isn't a solution. You think the writers actually think they're right? You think if someone had pointed out that that wasn't how physics worked, they'd have changed it?
>>
How hard is it for people to grasp that when they say wind they don't mean literal wind? It's just a catch all term to describe the effect.

In a show about giant space mecha from mars I don't really give a shit about things like this if the actual story and characters are interesting. In this case, they weren't so I dropped-this the wind thing is the least of this show's problems.
>>
>>120466205
>after claiming the whole first season how scientific accurately was this show
I really wouldn't say that. It's probably more accurate than actual wind in space, or those little rocks having such a gravitational pull, but it's still not that accurate.
>>
I swear I saw this thread before a few hours ago. eflob
>>
You know, I was about to write this show off with episode 13 but then 14 & 15 aired. What happened? It feels like a different show.
>>
>>120467203
It seems like the first cour was merely a set-up and wasn't part of the show at all.
>>
>>120465744
Slaine has gotten good at anticipating people psychologically. Inaho's autistic ass can't. He makes decisions based solely on logic and exploiting technical weakpoints.

That's why they are the rivals of the show.
>>
>>120467203
No idea. If it were like that from the start it would be above average. It's like they just realized they had no plot.
>>
>>120466201
It's sad that some anime makers actually think like this.
>>
it's important to differentiate between real physics and oh!great physics.
>>
This is actually retarded the calculations needed to have a rough estimate of the effect of gravity on these bullets I did in FUCKING HIGHSCHOOL.

That's right the writers in the show that decided to pretend to add "intelligent" space tactics are dumber than high school students.
>>
>>120467304
You know, I'm blaming this on the split cour. If this had aired in one chunk the Earth side focus probably wouldn't have been as long.
>>
>>120467570

>>
>>120467327

>>
>>120466361
Mechs are generally too big to be practical, put too much stress on almost every joint/part, and impractically take up energy. That being said, in space it'd be better than on earth.

Still, you try moving large metal as fast as some of these things, the stress is unreal.
>>
>>120468177
That and Tanks should wreck any of earth's Kataphrakts
>>
>>120468383

Not to mention the humanoid shape is nearly worthless in practice.
Having a legged structure isn't 100% "useless" but a real battle droid would look more like a tank with spider legs than a humanoid.

I know, but its hilarious if you look at it ignoring the circumstances.
>>
>>120471062
The show has a lot of foreshadowing
>>
>>120471445
Yeah with that whole war speech Inaho gave to the princess, it was actually foreshadowing Inaho's plans (kill as many enemy martians until they give up) and Slaine's plans (achieving their objective).
>>
>>120471384
It just looks like a girl jumping around while suddenly switching to a gay BDSM dungeon. I guess.
>>
>>120471623
Really if those two could somehow manage to work together they'd come up with a better overall solution. Slaine's plan works out better for the Terrans for when he sees Earth inevitably being conquered. Inaho would probably adjust his plans if he realized how messed up Vers's system is.
>>
>>120465388
this is why every mecha anime is retarded.
>>
>Slaine manages to beat the MC power protecting Inaho

>let's a tear run down his face, while he mutters "why?" and dies
>Asseylum and Eggs have sex on top of his body after that
Y/Y?
>>
>>120471740
Some are just bad in different areas, just like all anime.
I've been watching Sidonia and a shit ton of people unnecessarily died because of a gravity shift and they just brushed it off like it didn't happen. I can stand gauna killing people but that was too much. I'm only on Ep 5 though
>>

So are you going to fucking tell me Slaine fucking planed to become Saazbaums son so that he then could kill him to take command?
>>
>>120472773
He planned it once he made Slaine his son.
Slaine was just waiting for a perfect chance to kill him and till not hurt the war effort because he shot his waifu.
>>
>>120472773
He really took advantage of him and used him. I'm not sure he thought Saazbaum would adopt him like that but with how he egged on Mary and Barry that might have been his intention. He pushed Saazbaum into a corner to defend him.
>>
>>120472834
The biggest difference between Saazbaum and Slaine, Slaine didn't let his desire for revenge get in the way of his goals. He got his revenge and used it to further his goals.
>>
>>120471216
>>120469593
I like it. Do you some more?
>>
>>120473312

>>
>>120473274
How did Saazbaum's desire for revenge get in the way of his goals? Part of his plan was getting rid of the Royal Family. Killing Terrans comes with the war.
>>
>>120465388
The only way I can sort of forgive the wind in space thing is hoping its slang for the gravitational effects of the debris they were shooting through. But even then those little rocks shouldn't be remotely close to being able to alter the path of a bullet.
>>
>This thread again

Hahaha Simply epic OP xP
>>
>>120473395
Doing it in front of Slaine and rubbing salt in the wounds, he completely gave up on his goals and wanted Slaine to shoot him in his head. Slaine even asked Saazbaum if he'd prefer to die without realizing his ambitions.
>>
>>120473504
Slaine did just almost empty a whole clip into him. I don't think he was thinking Slaine was going to save him.
>>
>>120473612
More like he emptied a magazine into the wall behind him. I guess saazbaum had slight hope since he didn't kill him
>>
Fucking Harklight calculating the trajectory around the whole of the Earth's circumfence was the final nail in the coffin for me. Inaho was already ridicuolous hitting stuff at 700m, then this nigga showed him by over a hundred times.
>>
>>120473612
After going through the trouble to save him the first time which got the princess shot, Slaine can't just leave them when Saazbaum has the power to help the princess get medical treatment. Her heart did stop.
