Lets have a fun thread /a/
Which LotGH heroes character are you, according to your Jung indicator?
Test here http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp
if anyone has better site post it though
As for me, Yang Wenli INTP master race reporting for duty.
I was told INTPs are supposed to be fairly rare. But I get a feeling there will be a lot of Is and Ts on /a/ especially. I'm curious to see what the distribution will be.
INTP reporting in. We're kind of like INTJs, but wracked by self doubt and trapped in an existential mire, so /a/ is the perfect place for us.
Honestly, even as an INTP, I'm usually told that I'm fairly sociable.
I think the key for INTP in socializing is to try to view the act of human interaction from a logical stand point, and playing it based off of patterns we sense, something we're especially talented at.
This should help break you out of your shell, but yeah the self-doubt is still difficult to deal with.
That was more towards me being such a boring character. Guess it's right.
Proven wrong >>120460742
If you're telling the truth, that's pretty neat. ENTJs are another rare type. Though the one ENTJ I know is pretty retarded so don't go thinking you can take over the galaxy any time soon, mein Kaiser.
Yup. Pretty much it, but I don't think not too many people would miss me if I were gone though. Also, I really do need people to tell me to go after the girl. Watching this show is like re-living puberty all over again. Suffering.
But anon, Kessler is fucking based.
>When Terraists launched an attack on the Imperial Residence in 801 UC, Kesler personally entered the building through a window while his men were pinned down at the main entrance, and armed only with a pistol, protected Hildegard and Annerose von Grünewald until they could be evacuated.
Also, its been a while, but wasnt he also the one who parked a tank between two groups of soldiers who wanted to kill each other? Or was that someone else?
INTJ here, i am the mastermind, the stratigian, the analyst.
I'm always two steps ahead of you and everything goes according to my plan.
I have a higher intellect than the majority of people, which is not suprising considering the fact tham i'm a "thinking" person, contrary to a fool who only thinks with their feelings (most people around my age)
You may need to check the percentages.
Sometimes, you can be right on the border between say, P and J. That means you may only weakly associate with associate with one, and actually have a few traits of the other.
Also keep in mind its hard to categorize the entire human population with just 16 different types. INTJ may just be the one you're CLOSEST too out of all available options.
INTP mustard race, reporting in.
Was earning nearly six figures and had a nice 3DPD, but as an INTP it brought me no joy. Zero. All I saw in the job were apes jockeying for status and mean little value extraction machines that served no higher purpose. All I saw in the 3DPD was an insatiable utility monster that was entering her nesting phase.
I threw it all away to enjoy a simple life of solitude where I can enjoy books, art, and free creation (and anime and waifus, of course).
The rat race ain't worth it if you're an INTP.
ok. i bite the bait. i was intj in school. now i'm... ISTP. guess i'm a mechanical mastermind or a schizo machine hivemind.
Yeah, that makes sense, I think I'm just wierd though.
I think you just need to find a job/partner that suit you better.
INTPs definitely need stimulation, or I find
weget bored and start to feel like we're wasting our potential.
For a partner, I think as long as you have an "I", you're off to a good start. We like to live in our own internal worlds, so someone who can co-exist with us, without intruding on that world is good. I've got an ISFP girl and its working out really great.
Yeah see its as I said. You're very much on the border. Consider taking it again later on when you're in a good state of mind.
If weird is being not normal, then we're all weird anon.
I know its cliche, but just be you and I think you'll find that you're more comfortable with yourself.
objectively and empirically speaking, all jung is baiting wankeristic shit that's been asswrecked by postmodernism decades ago. also all evangelion chicks are objectively pandering to shit taste
Well it depends on the partner.
She just knows that when I'm watching anime/
playing vidyaits me-time, and I give her the same courtesy.
A way to encourage that is through communication. Establish rules and explain yourself, so that your behavior doesnt come off as insulting.
We live together in an apartment and I've never felt like I needed more space, because
a) I selected someone who jived with that kind of lifestyle
b) I was clear about how I operate right from the get-go
Just make sure to sprinkle in some together-time and you should be good to go. I know this is vague advice so feel free to ask for clarification on certain points.
If someone is using it for actual psychiatric or psychological analysis, then yes thats retarded.
But we are all laymen here, and I feel that its a simple test that can actual provide some insight on your personality, even if only a little bit. It may be just Forer effect but my own grade is pretty accurate, and most other people I've seen take it were spot on. Hell, the person who gave me the test predicted (without telling me, of course) what I would get and was spot on.
I was referring to that anon saying that he got INTJ and that Oberstein is his favorite character. We tend to like characters we sympathize with, and we sympathize more with chracters in whom we see our own characteristics.
Yes I'm aware of the Forer effect, but that applies only when evaluating oneself. I've seen a lot of people get very accurate results, from both my and their perspective.
And again, as I mentionned earlier, this isn't intended to be a psychological tool in modern times. Its a short, fun little test you can take to get a little insight on your tendencies and personality with fair accuracy. Nothing more, nothing less.
I like this one because it describes me as a moeblob.
Consider the following:
>Person A takes the JM test
>Persons B, C and D, who know A quite well, agree with the result
>Person B tells person A to take the test, and, without telling A, records what they believe the result will be
>Person A takes the test
>Result matches with Bs prediction
>Person B is able to repeat this feat consistently
I've seen both of these happen.
Honestly, all the results give on a general level arent really arguable
>Is this person Introverted or Extroverted?
>Does this person base their opinions on Perception or Judgment?
Alleged INTP here. However, I don't feel like one. I like theories yet, I am more hands on kind of guy when it comes to learning. Once I have figured something out, I'm reluctant and lazy to execute it. I find computer science and general science to be interesting but the details most often than not confound me and bore me even.
The most telling sign of an INTP is his/her childhood, read up on great thinkers who are INTP, they tend to do well in school (or have signs of brilliance) and their intelligence shine throughout. College/university is their best years and that's where they build their future career out. Yet these never happen to me and I still struggle with my university syllabus. I guess I am more of an ISTP or even an ISFP.
I'm more just a loser who wastes a bunch of time because I gave up everything in my adolescence because reasons.
I'd love to have some master plan or something though. I guess that's part of being an INTJ. Just wanting to be some mastermind evil guy who's steps ahead of everyone else or whatever.
Just because you got INTP or INTJ, doesn't mean you're a genius. Just means you would TEND to think in unconventional ways, which, when combined with a strong intellect, could lead to big breakthroughs.
Also, INTPs tend to be easy going, and go with the flow. In my experience that can lead to getting BAD grades in university, when it may become necessary to put the pedal to the metal
>Once I have figured something out, I'm reluctant and lazy to execute it
But that fits perfectly in the INTP stereotype
>they would much prefer to build complex theoretical solutions, and leave the implementation of the system to others.
Once you've got that shit figured out, you're just as likely to drop it.
I've taken this test a gorrillion time and got ISTP. It's pretty on the mark too, considering these things are usually ridiculous and completely off.
Tell me about it, I obsess over it for months during my teens, reading about people's experience and what not. It was interesting but really, it's just too vague. Interests in the theoretical and abstract vary from people to people and anybody could claim that they show interest in it but they could only have shallow knowledge about it. Sometimes it could be a case of Dunning–Kruger effect.
Interestingly, information about INTP on the web is probably more numerous than the other type despite SJ's dominating the population.
ESTJ MASTER RACE

OSKAR VON REUENTHAL
My african american amigos.
Nothing. As stated in the OP, its for fun.
Let me be clear. Im from a physucs background, so believe me when I say scientific accuracy is in my utmost interest. However, as ive said before, I dont believe that this test is accurate on a scientific basis. What I do believe, is that by asking a series of introspective questions it is possible to place people in one of 16 fairly open, but defined, categories. Do you disagree?
>Is this person Introverted or Extroverted?
>Does this person base their opinions on Perception or Judgment?
The thing is, these characteristics are not a yes/no question in reality. To use my own example, I may be an unusually clear-cut introvert and thus pretty much a walking stereotype, but for most people it is not so. In the real world, extroversion is a bell-curve and most people fall somewhere near the middle, with their attitude fluctuating depending on their current mental state and people they're interacting with. Putting them in some E or I categories is pretty much meaningless. This test is a combination of extreme simplification and simple bad science; the thinking-feeling distinction for example does not really exist: our ability to understand sophisticated emotions is handled by the same brain circuits that handle our highest intellectual processes.
Wasn't there a poll a while ago where /a/ ended up being 90% INTJ/INTP?
It's a shame the only way we can keep you guys from being mass murderers/killing yourselves is to tell you you're special and rare.
Pretty much, aside from the "Sincere and genuine" and "Perfectionists" part. I'm a liar who uses speaks bluntly and pretends to lie terribly so that I can get away with anything I actually want to.
As for the perfectionism thing, I've got a very specific standard that I need to reach on anything I'm doing before I start slacking off on it.
>pretends to lie terribly so that I can get away with anything I actually want to.
Mah fucking brother
>mfw people just "know" I'm telling the truth because i'm a terrible liar.
Who picked this one out? I've lost my composure.
Youre putting this under far more scrunity than it deserves. You say that being "extroverted" is really just being part of a large distribution. Absolutely right. But all the test seeks to do (at least, in my application) is to give GENERAL categories to people. Does this perfectly sum up your traits and personality? No. But neither does, as you pointed out, attributing to someone the title of "introvert". Should we discontinue the use of that word then?
I've had a reputation for being a terrible liar since I was a kid, I don't even remember when exactly or why I started lying like that. I also have a bit of a stoic disposition when I'm with people who aren't my friends, and somehow it leads to people giving my words more weight than they really should.
>Making excuses for fuckups.
That doesn't sound very Bittenfeld-like.
You're completely right though, when I almost got fired once for being a lazy fuck I didn't make any excuses and now I train new hires. Boss seems to like me so it's all fine.
You are starting to sound like someone who has MBTI as his business, and I'll just stop this discussion at MBTI is a complete joke no different from astrology in my eyes. And if you, by some circumstance, find the test entertaining, I can't stop you.
Have any of you ever noticed any big changes in what you get over the years?
Back in college I would get INTJ consistently, but now ENFJ seems to be my thing.
I really need to watch LOGH, it's been in my backlog for literally years.
