Honestly, even as an INTP, I'm usually told that I'm fairly sociable.
I think the key for INTP in socializing is to try to view the act of human interaction from a logical stand point, and playing it based off of patterns we sense, something we're especially talented at.

You may need to check the percentages.
Sometimes, you can be right on the border between say, P and J. That means you may only weakly associate with associate with one, and actually have a few traits of the other.

Also keep in mind its hard to categorize the entire human population with just 16 different types. INTJ may just be the one you're CLOSEST too out of all available options.

Was earning nearly six figures and had a nice 3DPD, but as an INTP it brought me no joy. Zero. All I saw in the job were apes jockeying for status and mean little value extraction machines that served no higher purpose. INTPs definitely need stimulation, or I find we get bored and start to feel like we're wasting our potential.

For a partner, I think as long as you have an "I", you're off to a good start. We like to live in our own internal worlds, so someone who can co-exist with us, without intruding on that world is good. I've got an ISFP girl and its working out really great.

Well it depends on the partner.
She just knows that when I'm watching anime/playing vidya its me-time, and I give her the same courtesy.
A way to encourage that is through communication. Establish rules and explain yourself, so that your behavior doesnt come off as insulting.
We live together in an apartment and I've never felt like I needed more space, because
a) I selected someone who jived with that kind of lifestyle
b) I was clear about how I operate right from the get-go

Just make sure to sprinkle in some together-time and you should be good to go. I know this is vague advice so feel free to ask for clarification on certain points.

But we are all laymen here, and I feel that its a simple test that can actual provide some insight on your personality, even if only a little bit. It may be just Forer effect but my own grade is pretty accurate, and most other people I've seen take it were spot on. Hell, the person who gave me the test predicted (without telling me, of course) what I would get and was spot on.

Yes I'm aware of the Forer effect, but that applies only when evaluating oneself. I've seen a lot of people get very accurate results, from both my and their perspective.

And again, as I mentionned earlier, this isn't intended to be a psychological tool in modern times. Its a short, fun little test you can take to get a little insight on your tendencies and personality with fair accuracy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Alleged INTP here. However, I don't feel like one. I like theories yet, I am more hands on kind of guy when it comes to learning. Once I have figured something out, I'm reluctant and lazy to execute it. I find computer science and general science to be interesting but the details most often than not confound me and bore me even.

The most telling sign of an INTP is his/her childhood, read up on great thinkers who are INTP, they tend to do well in school (or have signs of brilliance) and their intelligence shine throughout. College/university is their best years and that's where they build their future career out. Yet these never happen to me and I still struggle with my university syllabus. I guess I am more of an ISTP or even an ISFP.

Just because you got INTP or INTJ, doesn't mean you're a genius. Just means you would TEND to think in unconventional ways, which, when combined with a strong intellect, could lead to big breakthroughs.
Also, INTPs tend to be easy going, and go with the flow. In my experience that can lead to getting BAD grades in university, when it may become necessary to put the pedal to the metal

The thing is, these characteristics are not a yes/no question in reality. To use my own example, I may be an unusually clear-cut introvert and thus pretty much a walking stereotype, but for most people it is not so. In the real world, extroversion is a bell-curve and most people fall somewhere near the middle, with their attitude fluctuating depending on their current mental state and people they're interacting with. Putting them in some E or I categories is pretty much meaningless. This test is a combination of extreme simplification and simple bad science; the thinking-feeling distinction for example does not really exist: our ability to understand sophisticated emotions is handled by the same brain circuits that handle our highest intellectual processes.
