Yeah, which is why certain ships (including some super popular ones like Tenryuu & Tasuta) don't even get cameos and the majority of them don't even get more than a line or two.

Focusing on a select few was smart in the sense that even people who don't play the game can still become invested in it rather than just being confused each episode by an ever growing number of ships and personalities of which they are not familiar with.

Killing off Kisaragi is really the only thing worth debating whether or not was a good idea.
