If Kaiki doesn't believe in apparitions, how do you explain the scene when he clearly sees Sengoku Nadeko overlaying the sanctuary area with snakes ?
Is this scene real, or just in Nadeko's imagination ?
It's just that many Monogatari characters are huge hypocrites.

All of them in fact.
>>120257723
Nice trick of the light, it feels so real that even I am fooled by it.
>>120257723
Maybe he lied?
>>120257922
Kaiki doesn't deceive people like that
>>120257723
What if apparitions are just inside people's mind? The fact that they seem to affect real people means very little. Kaiki knows that his fake curses and stuff work as much as well, so how can he tell the difference?
>>120257723
I'm pretty sure Kaiki understands that oddities exist, but he wouldn't think of an oddity god as being a real god. And when he spoke to Araragi in Karen Bee I take it more as him weaseling his way out of the confrontation by pointing out that oddity he used on Karen could be proved to be fiction and making the accusations seem foolish.

Not only Kaiki himself but many characters confirm in different arcs that Kaiki doesn't believe in apparitions.
Because Kaiki is such a reliable person.
>>120258406
Is Kaiki really human?
>>120258529
kaiki is niku
>>120258529
That is one massive Miata.
If Kaiki doesn't beliee in apparitions why did he join the supernatural club or whatever it is called?
I fucking love Memes.
>>120257969
By lying?
>>120259009
You can go back to /v/.
i don't believe any of the narrators but Kaiki is the least reliable of all he even tells us he gets killed
>>120258913
He's just a poser.
>>120257723
The same way Republicans don't believe in global warming: denial.
>>120257723
He doesn't believe in them, he fakes believing in them. It makes it more real than really believing in them.
Yes.
>>120259408
I'd say Nadeko is the least reliable, since her entire arc was a lie until the end.
>>120259883
This would explain why Kaiki doesn't show any expression (of fear, surprise or whatever) during Nadeko's rage.
>>120260315
Doesn't Kaiki start his POV arc by stating that most of what he's about to say is probably fake anyway?
