Kaji may not be a terrible VA but there's a nasal quality to his voice which makes it really grating to my ears. I can't stand his voice when he's a whiny shota, beta MC, or hotblooded screaming. His normal, more chill voice, however, is much more tolerable. His role in DRRR, for example, is great.

Well, I like nasal voices. Well, I may not like the too nasal ones, like Midorikawa's; but I don't dislike Kaji's voice. I like Ryouhei' Kimura's and Kouki Uchiyama's voices, even find them charming. I think he is okay, but another one that has been getting a ton of roles lately is Natsuki Hanae who voices Inaho, Kousei, and that creep in SAO just to name a few. He always voices losers of some sort and the voice is a combination of nasal + whiney and it's not pleasant. Tetsuya Kakihara is another one whose voice grates. Yui Horie is another popular one I can't stand, especially her overly genki roles.
