>everyone's happy now because of muh asspull
why is this even allowed in the 21st century?
5 years from, idiots and grimderps will still be upset about the ending.
I'm willing to bet most people that cry "asspull" didn't even read the LN and never made the smallest effort to put anything together.
And they'll still come and complain about why people are still watching it after the "asspull" end. Fuck, if Yuuna is still a hero they'll probably call that an asspull too.
And why did you bump this thread, you idiot? Learn to sage.
No, it doesn't. In fact, it does nothing except describe a couple of scenes. Congrats on letting one anon fool you.
>hinted that the problems were only temporary
They weren't temporary. And they did hint offerings can be taken back.
>Taisha was working on a solution
Considering I read the tweet myself, I'm pretty sure about it.
>The entirety of yuushabu who have returned to their peaceful daily life after ending the fight with vertex.
True. They may have to fight again, and the tweets describes scenes from the last episode. However, they're currently not fighting. See above. When it's put into text in that manner, it's not up for interpretation anymore.
Waiting eagerly for "Sononochi no Sonocchi".
>Ahh, Wasshi, want to go home together~?
>Wait, you're Tougou-san now, right~? Sorryy, it's a habit
>Well then, what should I call you~? Since you're Tougou-san... Ermm, uh... Togotogo?
>Sonocchi is Sonocchi after all
>So I'm fine with staying as Wasshi, too
>Wa! What is it now?
>Wasshi Wasshi Wasshi!
>Geez... By the way, Togotogo is a no-no, okay?
To see four guys being so autistic to miss the point is damn hilarious. You see, I'm not saying 10k is bad. I'm saying it's clearly under-performing given all the hype and ride the show had provided right until the last episode and would have sold better had there been less asspull conclusion to the story
>given all the hype
From where? 4chan? This shit had the marketing budget to buy a single cup ramen, if you search for "ゆゆゆ" on google, the first results are "madoka-ish anime, wow!" and "Yuyushiki", nearly no one knows about this in the west, the number of downloads on nyaa is median at best compared to shows from the same season.
No anon you don't understand! Madoka is great and all the magical girls shows made after it are only riding the hype and their main objective is to be the next Madoka.
This is no different, just see Yuuna, the way she is pink, the way she punches thing and how she is all about hot blooded heroism, its literally Madoka.
That's what I get for being stupid and not reading the second sentence.
The only show they referenced is Gochiusa. I mean, of course it must surely have a heavy influence of Madoka (and other magical girls) but people overplay it too much, this show could have existed even without meduka since it don't borrow any thematic or style outside of the "Bait and switch" nature, and even that had been done before a lot.
Guess we might as well sink it then.
I SHIP YUUNA AND KARIN. I don't care about anything else, I just want to jack off to them.
There, see you guys when there's something to talk about.
I don't even know why I'm responding to an obvious troll but let me just make clear that the period of 3 months between Gochiusa and YYY is simply to short to influence anything, given the length of time required to produce an anime. Oh, BTW such a project like this wouldn't even get approved by sponsors without a solid successful case like Madoka. YYY owes a lot to Madoka, more than you guys want to believe
I fully support this motion. Best yuusha couple. I hope they develop their relationship in S2 and Karin NTR's Tougou for good.
>doesn't know Gochiusa has a manga.
>project not getting approved without madoka.
On the contrary you ignorant fuck, search about the industry a little, a lot of shows got the red light because the committees feared they wouldn't survive the madoka comparisons.
YuYuYu even got delayed because of the Madoka influence, it had already all the concept art and planning ready for a 2012 release
Let's just wait for Asenshi to deliver and let this thread die meanwhile
>those red underlines have got nothing to do with whatever the pic related is trying to say AND it's actually trolling those who can't into moon, right?
What makes you think those bullshit underlines and the green box can't be false at the same time? What makes you believe I've ever said only one of them is false and being so makes another part automatically true? Could you please acquire some better reading comprehension before you defend so desperately something you don't even understand?
Three posts in and you still haven't made a single concrete point about that pic, anon. Why didn't you address the green box first when it was the topic being discussed? It's obvious to any one by now that you're bullshitting, you're really bad at this.
Personally, I think the writer pulled suffering because of pulling it and for some reason I got success.
How did you deal with the break between ep 11 and ep 12 /a/?
The week between ep 11 and 12 was one of the craziest weeks in anime I've ever gotten to experience.
>tears of joy
Just during "o...onee-chan" because the rest of the episode was spent with either log yuuna or Takahiro playing us like a damn fiddle (Specially on that fucking dizzy moment on the stage)
>not shedding tears of joy when this
Do you even udon?
People need to realise that literally no one on /a/ buys anime or supports the industry, so the reason why "good anime" on /a/ doesn't sell well is because it isn't popular in Japan. Simple fact is that /a/ is a terrible example of the anime industry and tastes. Sales numbers and polls will never be representative of whatever bullshit /a/ is wanking over at the moment.
Those underlines and green box are bullshit, to being with. I mentioned only about the former first because I found it more ridiculous. THEN you-yes, not me, it was YOU- suddenly move your topic to the green box, without even knowing it's just another bullshit part of the pasta
And what? Now you think I have to make a 'concrete point' about some-er stupid pasta, right? Hilarious. How much you're going to pay me for that? Because I really don't feel like doing it for free. Just never learn any moon and keep being delusional, please. I like how funny you look.
What are you talking about?
The producer is a huge fan of gochiusa and wanted to make a new type SoL.
The show he ended up producing ended up being YuYuYu. That is all there is to it.
This shit isn't hard to understand to right?
Do people not know how huge Gochiusa actually is in Japan? Do people not know that Gochiusa has 13straight front cover in a row for kirara at 1 point?
To be sincere until episode 8 this was a show I just watched on the thurday livestream for the sake of it, Episode 5 got me interested enough to not lose it anymore but I wasn't in the mood to rewatch it all with subs (I do understand moonrunes to a medium extent)
Then came Episode 8 and made my mind about this, not because of Sonoko and muhsuffering but because of that moment where Yuuna took a deep breath and supported Tougou.
Seriously, how new are you? /a/ is full of pet shows, specially ones like this which never become popular out of here. I mean, have you never seen a Nichibros thread?
>Aw what a sweet ending, I'm glad this tied up in a positive way
>now let's see what /a/ thinks
>BAWWW IT WASN'T GRIM
>WOW IT SOLD BAD, 10K UNDERPERFORMING
Best of /a/, man.
I think he meant to 'downvote the thread', in this case. I see sage'ing in response to other people's posts is pointless, but in context of a thread it makes perfect sense.
(though I don't think it's working because nobody knows what sage is anymore, apparently. And people like me are too lazy to put it in the field)
The only hilarious thing here is how hard you're trying. Now you're even pretending the picture wasn't posted specifically to make the point about GochiUsa.
But anon, that is what I'm talking about.
It was doomed from the OP.
Show has become popular enough to attract trolls.
Also the thread was shit from the start.
>pretending the picture wasn't posted specifically to make the point about GochiUsa
So you still haven't realized that the picture actually proves nothing clear between YYY and Gochiusa, because those underlines are there for no reason and someone wrote complete bullshit out of his delusion in the green box, and how ironically you're revealing your lack of understanding in moon. I'm laughing so hard I can't fucking breath now
But then again, Madoka wasn't Drama, it wasn't SoL, it wasn't School.
And it never tried to be any these things. It was a great show for enjoying the sight of girls suffering and evolving through getting broken.
All the friendship themes and how Yuuna supports them and willing to do whatever it takes kinda made me hooked. That and how the VA handles the shouting.
This show fills all my guilty pleasures.
Speaking of the exhibition of smiles, did the pictures that were displayed ever make it out here?
Or were they just snapshots from the anime?
1.Yuna is still a hero and continue the fighting alone.
2.Shinju got energy from destroyed Vertex and make a better barrier. So no need for hero for sometime.
3.First time someone directly touch vertex and shit happen.
>literally the season bestseller if we ignore UBW
I wish people got some idea about sales before shitposting
I'm not sure what you mean, please explain. To me it seemed Rebellion was the closest to what I expected to happen.
Admittedly, the new universe seems a bit more stable. (in the shallow way that all of Madoka setting is built on) So I can see if you mean the meat is gone now.
So what is the justification for letting Sonoko be at large? She spread a seriously false info that almost led to the destruction of the entire world. 10/10 would be charged for fraud. Or
is she the actual villain and the last scene implies she's running away from Taisha?
>Dem happy smile faces
She actually told Tougou the truth.
The Taisha were the ones spreading lies.
Also, she was without most of her body for 2 years. She probably had convinced herself that the effects were permanent and told the same thing to Yuuna and Tougou.
All those protected smiles
But Taisha said the damages are only temporary and they will get better! Maybe they were tested of their faith in Taisha and failed it. Kinda makes sense since they've all been relieved from the duty now. Dishonorable discharge?
Except she did not. She said something along the line of
>You're supposed to lose a function due to Sange after Mankai
And that's a fact. When Tougou asked her if they would never get better, she said
>You want to get better, right? I want to get better, too.
Literally, nothing she said are lies.
Taisha has very little power or knowledge. Their communication with Shinju-sama is one-way and rudimentary (he shows them visions through the priestess). They probably had no idea if they would get better or not.
>When Tougou asked her if they would never get better, she said
>You want to get better, right? I want to get better, too.
if that's not a lie, then the pic related is not a liar too
I don't think the execution was flawless, I already nitpicked it enough. I doubt anyone thinks that. But of course you're gonna try to show the good sides if you liked it and other people just take it at face value and start whining about asspulls and whatnot.
Which is fine, too. Sonoko did nothing wrong and Taisha did what they thought is right, which was justified, too.
Tougou wasn't exactly doing what she was doing because she's mad at Taisha. That's a feeling she held, but it did not motivate her actions.
Well, yes, exactly. It's basically a story where no one did nothing wrong, but the world is still awful and bad things happen.
Yes, that's my main gripe with it. Still wouldn't call it awful by any stretch of the imagination.
So you /a/nons are comfortable with literally no one being held accountable the incident which almost destroyed the world? Holy shit this is not how jurisdiction's supposed to work!
> but the world is still awful and bad things happen
That's because Amaterasu did everything wrong. Probably.
Considering Taisha and Sonoko had no clue that there's a way for the Yuusha's to get better, it's hard call either a liar.
Also QB was arguably a liar if you define lying as purposely withholding information you hold to mislead people.
Furthermore, QB never had any reason to always tell the truth. It's simply irrelevant to an amoral entity. The important part is appearing consistent to the people you hold expectations off.
>almost destroyed the world
That's the thing though. The world wasn't destroyed. In fact, it was improved upon as their actions halted the gods threatening their world for a prolong period of time AND gave power back to Shinju-sama. They did nothing short of praise.
they insulted fictional characters with indecent drawings
What the hell are you talking about? It was confirmed in the last episode.
You know that being held accountable can mean something very specific?
Tell me what damages Tougou incurred, aside from the metaphysical wall she broke. And what court's jurisdiction is the wall within? What are the property rights on the wall to begin with? Taisha does not own god, as far as I am aware.
Keep in mind Taisha is not a judicative entity. They have no right to give Tougou any shit whatsoever, on a legal basis. Nor do they want to, because they have a grasp on the situation.
Spread was alright, definitely did not meet expectations, but the amount of Ulith with the delicious voice was nice
I do hope that if YYY gets a second season, that it turns out into something amazing.
Infected also seemed to have at least one extra season planned from the beginning, while here they probably had to give it a definitive conclusion while still leaving possible hooks for a sequel.
They can confirm that Shinju is refusing to take new hero's easily enough.
The girls will be called back next time Shinju wants to eat. Either to maintain himself or to try and expand the border and regenerate the rest of Japan.
The visions probably showed signs of them getting better (offering vs sacrifice) but never showed any definite conditions or timeframes. They were probably trying to get more info, but just couldn't. After all, there was quite some time before Sonoko's wish and the Taisha finally giving them the upgraded terminals, despite the teacher already knowing about the faeries.
It was true though. Or did you not notice that several months passed in last episode after the battle was over? Sure, they can still be pulled back into battle but they weren't not fighting during that time.
Could be, but at this point we can only guess. It could just as well be wishful thinking on their part, or they believed they'd get better because there was nothing physiologically wrong with them.
This is also something we can only guess. They could be telling the truth, but other girls could also be fighting in their stead and they'd never know.
Point is, a lot of stuff was purposely left ambiguous, probably because they didn't know if they'd ever make a sequel or not.
I am also very confused.
Depend on which of the speculation is actually canon? But yeah I get your point.
It's just that the way everyone acting like her "The whole world(Including us) should burn" is not a big deal is really bothering me. Guess it's just not that kind of show.
Doesn't answer the question of the existence or non existence of a legally entity entitled to hold her accountable.
A crime that is not punishable is little more than a moral guideline. And you cannot be held accountable without a sentence, legally.
And I would still like to play the self defense against torture card, assuming there were such a court for supernatural space and spiritual property. xP
All caused by the Taisha's abuse of the girls. And Taisha refusing to provide Shinju with the food he needed. Since Shinju approved of what the girls did Taisha really cannot retaliate against them.
Nearly all the problems in the show were caused by the Taisha imposing their ideas, motivated by fear and embarrassment over the will of Shinju and the experience of the girls
Seeing as how Tougou also helped to save the world and indirectly caused the Vertex attacks to stop for a while, that's probably enough for a pardon. Plus if the Taisha actually try to pull anything on her the Shinju would probably bitchslap them.
furthermore, we don't even know what damages were in fact her fault, the vertex could have planned to break through the wall any moment anyway.
Tougou creating a weak point in the defense scheme is rather formidable battle plan, in fact.
She's like a soldier without any military obligations. She cannot be a traitor by definition because she never pledged allegeance to any military body.
>Didn't expect titled character to save all.
>Lets have 5 girls who have done nothing wrong suffer for no reason.
>Sonoko After is Sonoko doing cute stuff with the yuusha-bu
>Sonoko After is Sonoko and Tougou touring the city, visiting locations they used to visit 2 years ago
>Sonoko After is Sonoko's daily life after recovery which involves her writing GinXSumi yuri fiction and doing other cute things by herself
Which one would be better?
This. They're trying their best, and they're in the tightest spot in the whole setting.
I wanna go the gym with Karin and then take her out somewhere nice to eat, preferably a buffet.
Damn, time for me to go to the buffet.
It ain't easy to please an all-powerful magical lolicon.
>You'll never hear Sonoko's soft, contented snores as she dozes off in the sunny hero club room while her new friends to cute things
No the problem was the Taisha could not imagine ever being able to let the girls off duty to heal.
With vertexes coming through the barrier apparently whenever they wanted, they always needed girls on duty, and they failed to figure out a rotation system that would allow the 100 odd hero candidates to take turns and minimize the damage.
But the biggest reason was that in order to power up, Shinju needed to have a major battle fought within the barrier so he could eat the remains. A battle that could still easily be lost, a battle that even if won could result in epic damage and casualties depending on how long it lasted and the damage done to the forest. The Taisha were so adverse to the risk that they refused to cooperate and suppressed information going between the Hero's and Shinju, to try to prevent the Hero's from coming to this conclusion on their own.
The result was their own bad treatment to the Hero's and starving Shinju.
However the Taisha were humans meddling in the affairs of gods and the Gods will eventually found a way through Sonoko, Togo, and Yuuna.
I appreciate your honesty, sir.
Personally I don't mind, because I'm a guy for harems. I'll be happy wherever the characters go, as long as they are happy. And the harem prospect never dies!
Considering Tougou is not Washio anymore, I wonder what Sonoko will actually call her now.
She was fine being called Wasshi in episode 10.
Actually fun isn't allowed.
Please do your part in preventing it by reporting those you suspect of having fun to our specially established Internet Police.
Yuuna likes it more this way and Tougou is her real last name anyway
Well, yeah, but it would probably get weird once they start hanging together again and she's Mimori Tougou to everyone else. Could still see it happening though, Sonoko is like that.
>Actually fun isn't allowed.
Some people still cling to those YYY-Madoka character comparison pics from a while back.
You still alive or just someone took on the role?
Still the same guy.
Was out since Christmas eve for a week so couldn't visit the threads after the finale, and have been too busy to post since then.
Impeccable taste my good friend.
Fun times before Ep05.
Beck then I thought she was going to be the only Hero to survive the Season.
Why is Umul the only LRIG that didn't make it to the anime? ;_;
doesn't make a statement about their hero statement, if someone wants to go from the angle that yuuna might be permanently a hero for some non vertex related reason.
(and of course it doesn't make a statement about what's gonna happen in the future, but you know that much I'm aware)
Though I'm not sure who or what we are really talking about~
>However the Taisha were humans meddling in the affairs of gods and the Gods will eventually found a way through Sonoko, Togo, and Yuuna.
Isn't Shinju-sama the single result of the fusion of all the Gods of the Earth? Could the Divine Tree be considered a single entity or the cumulative will of the Gods? Either way we really need that background information to clear all these discrepancies and that leaked article only covered very little.
Got to agree that the are just Humans trying to understand the work of a God with 'predictable' results.
People buying the BD now because want a S2 to get shit explained and done..... Gokumi better not fuck it up
Just look at nico's rating, from episode 9 to 11, the rating percentage was high as fuck(93%), then episode 12 fuck up dropped back to 79%, pretty much the same as episode 1.
Healing is important, but you have to admit it's the suffering made this show so popular
I wrote the Gods in plural in that although I consider Shinju to be a single entity now, but the fight is still between Shinju and the Celestial Gods/Gods of Heaven/however you want to translate that kanji- which means Amatarasu and her friends essentially. AFIK the gods on that side have not found it necessary to merge themselves in a similar fashion to Shinju so its still "affairs of gods" even if there is only one on the humans side.
Well maybe two if you want to investigate the "Yuna is becoming a God" angle and the Shinto habit of deifying humans.
It's hard to understand why YuYuYu got popular and why it got such number in its sales.
Nico ratings are kinda hard to take account of with a show like this since it has a militant anti and a small fanbase in Japan.
Episode 5 already had set an upward trend, enough to go past Manabi. It probably would be around the 5k line if it didn't have the episode 9 boost.
Episode 9 did start the boom, but the finale barely had a hit on it.
Seriously, this show is one of those that will probably get some profiling research from other studios and producers since everyone has been tried to point out who is buying it and why are they doing it.
If anything, Episode 12 needed a bit more of fine-tuning but that's all. The HOT BLOOD and the clues scattered around make it more than worth it.
Changing the filename doesn't help. Getting it from somewhere else is irrelevant. It's not about >tumblr, it's about the quality. Stop posting that shit.
Nico just one of the example to show how the rating of this show dropped, YYY is in the similar case like EVA, everything else was great except the ending that's why people still buy it, plus even the ending was a disappointment for all the build up, but still bearable than that clapping end of EVA.
People disappointed not because the ending was happy or not enough suffering.....disappointed because it didn't explained right and left with too much questions.
Because YYY spend pretty much half the season build up the clues here and there inside the healing SoL part, then exploded the plot by revealing these clues.
A great contrast between healing and suffering made audience get into the show, while make the plot setting interesting and not too "complex"(very important). It's all about the surprise.
What I personally liked:
The show builds an emotional bond between viewer and characters.
The setting is built out of several layers, it doesn't just materialize on the spot to fit with where the plot/show wants to go, exactly the moment it has to.
Of course a show doesn't have to do these things, as seen with Madoka. I enjoyed that quite a bit as well. But mostly because I enjoyed 1 specific character's development, out of the rooster, not all of em.
Also the visuals and music are well matched and generally the production quality is just there.
Nah, surely not that, not only a lot of shows flopped but the madoka thing has always been shown to be bad for sales, people don't buy because it looks like Madoka, on the contrary, they will rage over it.
Though, Puella Heroica is a cool tittle for a series, Puella Heroica Yuuna Fortis not so much.
I'd be disappointed if it didn't explain anything and didn't leave enough to make concrete speculation on what happened. But that's not the case. There's a handful of conjectures that differ in details but are overall consistent with what is shown, which means the fans can have fun putting things together instead of going into full wild imagination wankery and the creators have room to work with in a sequel.
That's not disappointing in my book. But then again, I never expected any definitive answers. If anything, I was pleasantly surprised by the ending in that particular aspect, and more disappointed in the pacing of the second half.
Nope, It'll still be good as long it explained the ending well. There'll always people make comparison no matter what they did, just right in this thread you will see someone says YYY's a modaka failure .
without too much spoilers; does yyy have a happy ending?
I really like it at first, kinda felt like a cross between madoka and freezing, but dropped I think slightly further than half way through because of grimderp/everyone is a cripple
if things DO turn out happy, I guess I would be interested in picking it back up and finishing
thanks yall, will do
unfortunately already cleared from hd, and dont remember where exactly I left off. does anyone remember which episode # is the one where they first meet the paralyzed bedridden chick who teleports them to her and explains theyll just get more crippled but not die; iirc thats last watched/where I left off
I'm still glad I can laugh at this without feeling miserable again.
Not only is that webm down scaled from its source's original size, it's grainy and well under the file size cap. You can make both the resolution and bit rate higher as it is no where even close to the 3MB limit.
Small webms fit better in the threads. Big ones are better with sound if you really want that extra quality.
>Small webms fit better in the threads
What does this even mean?
And sound has nothing to do with the image quality.
Your whole post makes my head hurt, because none of it makes any sense at all. Having a larger image does nothing to the thread, and only increases the quality. And the image itself being bigger has nothing to do with whether there's sound or not.
Her bad grade, Fuu graduating and there'll soon be no one to lead the club, the moment her puberty kicks in, the fact that two girls still can't get married in future Shikoku (maybe), etc.
Wait, what? You want him to create 1280x720p webms? Now that's retarded. There's no need to make webms bigger than 960x540 and I would say optimal size is closer to 640x360. webm is lossy format, 1280x720 will never look good. Inflating the bitrate just to get closer to 3MB isn't necessary either, most of the time.
Nope, I watched it in chinese sub, which the use of words more closer to kanji. It just compare to how nature episode 1~11 flow, episode 12 just had a lot weird moment, based on the habit I got used to the previous episodes made me think there're more meaning for what it showed
Do you have any idea at all what you're talking about?
A 720p webm will look exactly the same as the source if you use the correct bit rate. And for an video that short you could do it just fine. A duel pass encode with and constant stream bit rate will make just about webm look fine with a useable file size.
A larger image does not make it look any worse, do you actually understand what the coloration between bit rate and image resolution does?
Taisha is a bunch of assholes so they might just do something like that, Yuuna's not the type to do something outlawed so she won't go against them. Tougou'd need to be the one triggering another system change.
Your idiotic 720p webms suck because they take too much space. If I wanted to watch the episode I would play the episode. When discussing stuff in a thread I don't need the file to cover half of my screen.
>it'll slowly degrade and lose bytes over time
lossy means it does not contain pixel perfect data, there is visual artifacts. Like jpg, or x264 are lossy formats, as well.
There's no data loss happening over time with any digitally stored files.
A lossless format is characterized by that you can recreate the original, uncompressed, file, from the lossless compressed file.
She just entertained the idea of Sumi being pushed down by other girl, her OTP was still GinxSumi at that moment.
She was in the process of shipping herself with Sumi after that ship had sunk, but who knows what will she do now.
I started collecting GIFs in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the clips I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 320kbps, they just look like crap. The resolution is terrible, the color banding...well don't get me started. Some of those clips have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. Lossless h.264 rips from the same period still look great, even if they weren't stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to h.264, you may not be able to see the difference now, but in a year or two, you'll be glad you did.
Though of course there is going to be degradation, when re-encoding from 1 lossy format, into another.
But shouldn't be a big deal unless you re-encode it repeatedly into different lossy formats.
>we'll ignore the rules about posting high quality images because anon doesn't personally like it
Weren't you trying to argue something about the bit rate and how it'll never look good at 720p? That's wrong.
And just because you can't handle "large" and I say large very loosely because 720p is not large, doesn't mean people shouldn't follow the rules.
Can we post no large images because they're too big for you? Guess any and all scans are off the table.
Just that nobody uses lossless x264. Seriously. It's not hard to tell encoding artifacts in anime openings even in 700mb episodes.
And your gifs from 2001 look exactly as when you looked at em that day. You're just going crazy.
Or you re-recorded em onto analogue media, or converted em into alternative lossly file types.
Also note that 320kbps is in fact 320kiloBitsPerSecond. Anime is measured in 1/8th the size, kiloBytes (or megaBytes).
so a '320kbps' gif would of course look like 40kBytes per second.
Music is usually quoted in kbits, though.
You don't understand. webm file doesn't have to be 720p to look good. It's just a supplement to discussion. It's there to remind the scene one is talking about. There's no need for 720p.
>Can we post no large images because they're too big for you?
You're fucking retarded for thinking your shitty strawman has any value.
Each year they sat on my hard drive, they lost roughly 12kbps, only because I have SATA - it's about 15kbps on IDE, but only 7kbps on SCSI, due to rotational velocidensity. You don't want to know how much worse it is on CD-ROM or other optical media.
Data loss due to rotational velocity results in your HDD breaking.
Sorry to tell you the bad news, but your HDD is dead. You're imagining you have the files, but you don't.
HOW TO WATCH ANIME, A GUIDE FOR NEWFAGS
1. Download a hardsubbed xvid re-encode of the show you want from TT. Make sure it's a horriblesubs funimation rip.
2. Encode as 1920x1080 x264, open in aegisub and add in some fabulous karaoke for all the OP/ED songs.
3. Encode to 704x480 xvid.
4. Encode to 1280x720 rmvb.
5. Encode back to 704x480 xvid. At this point you can now decode it with 3 different codecs for thrice the playback power!
6. Open in VLC.
7. Take screenshots of each individual frame.
8. Record the audio with your phone.
9. Encode the audio from phone to 7.1 flac to reduce rotational velocidensity.
10. Encode it again to q-1.0 vorbis.
11. Encode again to 192k aac.
12. Make a slideshow of the screenshots in windows movie maker.

No, it seems you don't understand. Many things in fact, including what straw man means. But I'll get to that in a second.
There is no reason a webm can't be both large and "supplement discussion" There is literally nothing different about the two other than one is a high quality image and the other is a low quality image. One is against the rules, and the other is not. Does the webm being 720p somehow impede you from understanding what's happening in the scene?
And no, not all webm are there to remind you of something that happened in the series. Most, if not all, are just there to look good, and be nice.
And you clearly don't know what strawmanning an argument means and are only parroting the phrase because you don't really have anything else to say.
Your premise was that large webms should not be posted because they are large, well that same rule can be applied to images. You know, we only need a very small image to remind us there are actually larger scans out there. Why not just post thumb nails?
There is no faulty base to my reasoning, so it's not a strawman. And even if it was, you just calling it a strawman doesn't prove anything.
Example of a webm just there to look nice.
>non 720p webm are low quality
Yeah, you are fucking retarded.
>Does the webm being 720p somehow impede you from understanding what's happening in the scene?
It covers other posts after hovering over it you idiot.
>well that same rule can be applied to images
No, it doesn't because they have different purpose. Not to mention webm will never reach top quality because it has no sound and in longer-than-few-seconds cases 3MB limit while for images only extreme examples have to be downscaled.
Are you high?
Not only do webm's also have thumbnails you have to open an image's thumbnail to see it's content as well. Unless of course you're content just seeing the thumbnail of the image.
Yes, anything lower than the source's resolution is lower quality. And then you should also have the highest resolution and bit rate possible while fitting in the limit.
It's funny you call me an idiot, then demonstrate how new you are by showing you don't know what inline extensions are. It doesn't cover anything. And even if it did, why do you need to see posts while you're watching a webm.
Sounds has nothing to do with image quality. The two are not related. Stop trying to grasp at anything you can.
And no, I already explained how the purpose is the same in most cases.
Yeah, I'm sure wemb's like >>119818747 are just for sheer reference and edification so people will understand the show better. Clearly this is not the case, and you are just a belligerent fool who has to argue about everything.
Yes, look at this thumbnail.
>you are just a belligerent fool who has to argue about everything.
No, I think that's you.
>this obsession with everything fitting within your "objective" idea of quality
You remind me of a certain someone.
>how new you are by showing you don't know what inline extensions are
How the fuck does that even make sense? Inline extension is relatively new, and people who aren't retarded would not have any reason to even start using that, since they are already accustomed to superior userscripts.
>implying you're not shitting on the characters by showing them in lower resolution webms
>12. Make a slideshow of the screenshots in windows movie maker.
Nobody wants to touch that thing.
Actually taking screenshots of the characters without asking them for permission is already shitting on them.
Posting them on the net without their permission for everyone to see is even worse.
Yeah, and check out this thumbnail. Guess what? You'd have to open it too, to get the full image. Just like you have to open the webm to see its full content.
This isn't up for subjective debate. It's a matter of numbers.
You can not claim lower number is higher quality than a higher number.
No, they're not at all. Literally every third party add-on has had since their inception.
>You'd have to open it too, to get the full image. Just like you have to open the webm to see its full content.
Just stop. How is a black rectangle in any way comparable to a smaller version of the entire image? I can tell exactly what that image is without opening it. Can you tell what a video you'll get when you click on the black rectangle.
>a smaller version
You mean unusable version.
It seems you already forgot what the was about.
It's about the quality of an image. Not if you can guess what it is or not.
Because that means it's not new.
What happened over there. Did the mass amount of screenshot shopping turn sour?
Even the anime makers are doing it as well and in many forms of it. Just look at pic related and tell me they are not doing it.
Let's just be clear. The idiot who was trying to use the fact webm's can't have sound as proof the image quality doesn't matter is trying to lecturer people.
Just making sure everyone is away of this.
Is that "official" art from magazines even done by people affiliated with the studios?
After all the unnecessary shitty fanservice art of YnS and Shirobako I really doubt that.
There was no back backpedaling just like there was no strawman.
You do understand that just because you say something doesn't make it true, right?
Yes, large images are the same as large webms. It doesn't matter if you can tell what the image is from the thumbnail.
Because in both cases you must open the thumbnail to get the full quality. That's how they are the same.
Magazine art is always like that, anon. Plus there's the official daki covers.
I'll take this type of derail over the 'normal' ones we had so far. The point I was trying to make is "If I want to see a 720p-1080p webm I rather go and open the episode" but, yeah, image quality is a thing after all.
Is part of the marketing and pre-planned by the staff, Sometimes it's done by internal artists (like the animators) and others by hired ones who are tasked to make them look like they will in the anime.
Let's just be clear. The idiot who was trying to make everyone conform to his standard of quality as objective and necessary is the same faggot that whines endlessly about fanart degrading the characters.
Just making sure everyone is away (sic) of this.
I see. Well, problem ist not fanservice itself, problem is that fanservice is churned out regardless of the character of the show. Strike Witches can get as much fanservice as it wants, it's a fanservice show anyway, but Shirobako is not, and a show like that getting that is really unfitting and breaks with the mood of the show.
Those people would probably even make fanservice art of ARIA if it aired today.
That's just how modern anime is, when your target audience is pretty much Japanese /a/ and the show has girls in its main cast then you're going to advertise the fact that your show has cute girls in it. Plus Tougou got lots of boob and butt shots in the show.
And yeah, shows like ARIA and Azumanga would definitely get those kinds of spreads if they aired today.
>You do understand that just because you say something doesn't make it true, right?
Back at you.
>Because in both cases you must open the thumbnail to get the full quality. That's how they are the same.
And it's a moot point because you were arguing with someone about the purpose of discussion.
Key word being discussion.
When you post a webm to bring up a part of the series to discuss, you don't need full quality. If posters really need full quality, they can just bring up the episode themselves.
When you post a scan, not everybody has seen said scan, so it's more important to post in full quality.
That has been the standard form quite a while now. If the series has -anyone- that can be put in a fanservice position it will be done for the sake of ad impact even if the show itself has little of it at all. It gets really annoying as it does detract from some series and misleads people.
Pic related is from a relatively down to earth military/mecha series. Can you tell that by looking at the pic?
>see this post
I'll probably have to eat this after reading the thread and seeing a better attemp at typesetting, but here it is anyways.
