Space dandy was fun, some episodes were really good stories too.

Each episode was very different from the last, I liked how it had different directors and writers throughout the series. It made each week feel fresh and you never could predict what would happen.

Another season sounds like a good idea if they follow the same philosophy as the last two seasons. I wonder how they will handle Dr. Gel and Bea though after the finale.

Yeah, I'd like another season. I don't claim I was a fan of every episode but being pretty close to a proper anthology anime that's just a thing that happens, I'm not a fan of every short in Robot Carnival either, and it's a great format.

I'd disagree, the series itself was fantastic, and I've always thought that the 2nd half was solid gold and the 1st half was littered with diamonds in a field of silver. Also, I thought the finale was 10/10 I couldn't have asked for anything more

I thought it was pretty hilarious at time. The humor and comedic undertones appealed to western auidences more anyway. I totally felt the subtle jokes that I think went over some people's heads.

I honestly loved Space Dandy. The different directors per episode made it varied, from comedic episodes like the dancing/singing highschool to story-like episodes like the plant world and the ukelele guy who stole smiles (if I remembered that correctly). It was a fun show that wasn't too hard for me to watch. Do I want another season? Hell yeah.

Also, I think that many of the people that don't like Space Dandy are those that watched and expected it to be like Cowboy Beep Boop. I've never seen Cowboy Bop-It, but even I know how different it is from Space Dandy, so I can understand where they're coming from.

The thing with Dandy was despite obviously being episodic, some episodes did drop a few hints and developments to the overall plotline. Making more would remove that since the finale gave great closure to the story. Of course, it could still be fun, but it really wouldn't be the same.

I really did like Dandy, and I think it ended on a good note so I feel like it shouldn't get a third season. But then again the writers did say they had a ton of ideas for more episodes so I really don't know. I do know that I want a movie though, that would be pretty sweet.

If you had spent any substantial amount of time here while the show was airing, you would know the answer to that question. In case you're actually some naive corporate suit who honestly wants to know whether most of /a/ would want another season, and not just some crossboarder trying to stir up shit, the true answer is Y E S. A majority of those on /a/ who watched it liked it, and those who didn't largely ignored it after people remembered to ignore trolls. This thread is only full of shitposting because the OP mentioned Toonami - associated with /co/, whose descent into awfulness /a/ hopes to avoid - and because idiots don't seem to be able to ignore baiting; we were usually much more civilized about the whole thing. Space Dandy was an anomaly of risk-taking combined with good production on both the Japanese and English sides, contrasted with the vast desert of worn-out, identical content seen in modern Japanimation. There were high points and low points, but it was good on the whole.

I'd like to see this show back, it was like a showcase of talented animators given free reign, with the only constricting detail being that it needed to feature the same crew. I think there are too fews shows like it in the industry right now.
Also, the munagi episode was the best one.
