I heard Amagi bombed hard. They've had so much failures and mediocre performances since 2010. Are they still relevant?
KyoAni thread I guess.
I wouldn't consider it a flop, its still on the top 5 of the season until UBW and Yowamushi Pedal arrive

KnK and Nichijou are the ones which were flops
Hyouka movie when?
this year, right?
I don't know, Amagi is shit though.
My favorite KyoAni show is K-On and I don't think anything they do now can top it, despite how generic it is. Believe me I tried most of their shows but nothing made me feel good as K-On did. Actually, most of their shows are quite mediocre with great production values.
FMP a shit
Key a shit
Haruhi a shit
09-12 KyoAni > modern KyoAni >>>>>> early KyoAni
Orrrrrrrrrrr if people stopped sending them shit and actually someone with talent does it right.
Will Violet Ever Garden be the first one to deliver? Or will this be just KyoAni's excuse for boosting the morale of the contestants.
It's really a shame. KyoAni is just stuck there.
Though Violet Ever Garden has been very awfully quiet. Any bets on which director will handle it?
>implying Hyouka isn't the best thing KyoAni ever made.
I just want them to do something other than 'highschool students in some club'.
>people like hyoka not because of content but because of god tier artt
>hyoka has no character development
>hyoka consists of arcs of a shitty group solving shitty 'mysteries' that are as silly as why do men masturbate
>main heroine is always curious about dumb shit and the MC cant grow the balls to say fuck you
>MC and Hyoka relationship never got development
thanks you for not giving me a second season of this crap, i already deleted from skype the fucking anon that suggested me this shit
How about university students in a club?
University is such an untapped setting by comparison, and there's so much you could do with it.
Does having character a few years old actually matter that much? It's not like 14 year old kids are the ones actually buying the BDs anyway, even if they watch it on TV. It's otaku in their 20s and 30s.
How about elementary schoolers?
Because people watch cute girl cartoons in order to forget about their own shitty lives, not to watch qts eating ramen while being slowly crushed by student loan debt and contemplating suicide. Real life is complete trash, high school is the only non-fantasy setting in which they can believably have the girls just having fun and living the dream.
You mean you wouldn't watch a university anime about cute university girls doing cute things? All they have to do is write it so that they're still pure.
Exactly the same as what 90% of /a/ watches every season except that they're older and in a different kind of school.
Violet Ever Garden anime when?
>I heard Amagi bombed hard.
It didn't. Sold like 7k which isn't that great by KyoAni standards but is nonetheless still pretty good. Also, that was without an event ticket (IIRC).
But it's usually the opposite in Japan. High school is when you study hard and don't have much time for yourself, while university (except for the last year when you're jobhunting) is the most relaxed time of your life.
Yes, I don't mind the highschool students stuff, I just want them to do more than goofing around in their school.
KnK could've nailed that, but nope.
What I'm trying to say is they should do a workcom next.
Amusement park club do exist, but all they did is just visiting those parks.
But Working! and Servant x Service were both boring as fuck.
How long have those studios pandered to fujos though? With KyoAni it's just the past few years, a definite change was made and a lot of noise was made about it. I remember the shit storm.
Opinion discarded. Confirmed for brain dead retard who can't muster up the mental concentration required to watch a Japanese cartoon show. Nevertheless, a very good Japanese cartoon show.
>watch qts eating ramen while being slowly crushed by student loan debt and contemplating suicide.
Actually that might be nice. As long as they don't actually go through with it, depression can be moe.
