Hopefully the remake facilities an anime adapation. Better now than before, given how well of a job ufotable is doing with production values. That would mean characters would have their new designs, though ...

Aesthetics similar to Kara no Kyokai for 26 episodes, but the Far Side routes, which contain the better stories, are unlikely candidates for adapting ... at least at first. HF is getting a proper adapation before Fate, so who knows.

How about a 2-cour Near Side adaptation, then each individual Far Side route gets a movie each? So both a series and movies, kind of what Ufotable are doing with UBW and HF.

I expect that Nasu will make some fairly considerable changes to near side. So when ufo adapt Arc's route, it won't be all that bad.

Honestly Tsukihime from the way each route is constructed is not good for an adaption for any single route.
The VN was more liked because each route balanced each other to create the feel for complete story and I think the only way an anime would work would be to merge routes but not in the way LPT did.
It's actually close to impossible to make a good Tsukihime anime that's interesting and not cluttered like the VN.

Arc route, since Arc is a lot more popular, and then 3 movies. Can one film really give the routes justice? Is HF also a single movie? I guess, in the end, it all depends on the length and choice of exclusion.

I haven't given much thought to him altering existing routes despite changes to the storyline being cited in its announcement. What do you think will be changed? They say they don't know if it'll be voice or if it remain an eroge.

I'm guessing no significant changes with all the crap after the original Tsukihime. The Satsuki route is an addition.

It's a great VN with interesting characters that tends to be overshadowed by Fate.

However, I find its fans overrate the characters and lore to high hell and have terrible taste.

It's why I can't take any adaption or sequel of Tsukihime seriously, since they consider the most boring thing in the VN canon.

At least Ciel's route has Shiki going crazy multiple times over.

I figured all the routes were canon, including bad ends, just like Fate.

Shik's slips into insanity and descriptions of violent arcs are two of the better parts about Tsukihime. It has a different feel to Shirou's narration.

The insanity slippage is really the only thing that kept me interested in Tsukihime. I almost dropped it after Arc's route, then suddenly Roa, rape, and chairs.

Both Arc good and Satsuki Normal are the canon ends of Tsukihime.
Arc Good leads into Kagetsu Tohya, PlusDISC and Tsukihime 2.
Satsuki Normal leads into Melty Blood..
