Eri is as generic as it gets. Holy shit just swap her with any Rie tsundere and you'll see almost the same character interaction.

Yakumo's mature, reliable maternal nature was a big part of her character, true. But the most crucial aspect to her personality was her ability to see into the minds of men and how it made her turn away from all relationships other than with her sister. She saw how shallow and petty all the guys around her were and gave up on socializing. if it wasn't for Sara's outgoing nature and Harima's good heart she would have probably been isolated for life, and for all we know she might be, given the ominous foreshadowing with the ghost girl.

Futari wa Wasurechau still makes me sad to this day, since I relate it to both Karasuma/Tenma and Harima/Yakumo; Karasuma forgets everything and Harima never even finds out.

Yakumo has the setting of a main girl with all the interaction with Harima and those abilities whatever. Yet they just let a typical tsundere win.
