I want to believe. Not often do I wish for a second season of a series, but the cast is so great. Plus there is a lot of potential with cards from the game story events.

I can't wish hard enough for there to be a 2nd season, but I'll probably laugh so hard if Bahamut actually does ends the world as everyone knows it, everyone dies, and that's the end of the whole story.

To be honest, I would get bored. Champloo was great though, but it does take motivation to stick to it and it does have an overarching plot. Plot matters, it gives the story semblance of a purpose.

Lavalley is very likely Martinet in disguise. It's said his magic allows him to change appearance and Lavalley appeared right after Martinet drank the vial last ep. Their actions are consistent with Belzebuth's plan and they are never shown at the same time or in separate locations. The first scene where Martinet's introduced in episode 6 is when Lavalley is missing, everything matches.
