So what are the chances of a second season?
Good sales, and where can i read the novels?
I was curious how it handled in sales.
Post more Chitanda btw.
So several years from now, there may be another one. Well that sucks.
So less Jinrui, more Berserk.
Fuck everything. I thought Japs were supposed to be like worker drones who worked themselves to death occasionally (neets/hikikomori excluded). Why are these guys not conforming? Why couldnt it be some random salaryman instead of content creators?
Once we get a new novel in 2022*.
*tentative, subject to change without notice
She's not some side dish, you pleb.
Mysteries that make Encyclopedia Brown look dark and edgy.
The show was like some bizarre experiment in how incredibly, ridiculously, exteremly low-key you could make a mystery.
>It needs more corpses they walk in on, and solve while police flounder around.
What the fuck were you expecting from Kyoani and a highschool setting?
It's a prettier K-on with less cute girls and more mysteries. It's exactly what it looked like, and thats exactly what we got.
That's because the topic of the mysteries was almost always irrelevant, as their purpose was to facilitate character growth. The problem is that, despite this, the show still spends 15 minutes of every episode just explainingthe mysteries. The end of the festival arc is the worst case, as the show spends a huge amount of time on the mystery's big reveal/resolution despite it being incredibly underwhelming. I would have rather had a simple conclusion so that that screentime could be used to show more character development.
>takes up 90% of the screentime
>they're irrelevant guys!
Fuck off and stop parroting what other retards told you. You could have even just read the post above you for more elaboration instead of cherry picking.
Cute girls in K-on
Cute girls in Hyoka
K-on had more cute girls, and more cute moments. It is objectively more moe.
Even if there is enough material I hope it doesn't get one, Hyouka was near perfection and the best show Kyoani will ever make.
Sequel has a high chance of ruining that.
You do realise character development must be development towards some point, right? like, not just characters changing traits for no reason. They're supposed to change in response to shit. To get wiser or weaker depending on the shit that happens to them.
screaming "muh character development" like a retard isn't helping
>You do realise character development must be development towards some point, right?
The show did that though. The main character even spells it out for the audience in the last episode. How did you miss that?
Just because something isn't as serious as a dead person doesn't mean it isn't important to somebody. If anything solving dumb little mysteries shows more about the characters' interests than a typical murder or something, because they're only interested in the murder as a means of survival but they're interested in a different, less-serious mystery because it interests them as a person.
Besides, don't you get tired of everything being at stake in media? At a point it just feels cumbersome, like it's just some part of a checklist that the MCs have to save the world at some point for it to be worthwhile.
No, I understand that. That's why I like the idea of the mysteries causing the characters to learn more about themselves than each other. I just wish they would have spent less time on the mysteries and more time on the character development.
JUST FUCK ALREADY
I've been wondering what to watch, just finishing watching vampire hunter d and figured I could try and go for something more modern
I'm gonna watch this show
